Lemon Garlic Salmon with Mushroom Risotto and a classic Old Fashioned.
Brad P.

The mixed drinks were top-notch, portions were generous and the salmon & risotto was absolutely divine. This might have been the best meal I've had this year - highly recommended!

Cinnamon Roll

I went on a girls trip to Nashville with one of my friends. We went for brunch on a Sunday and got a cinnamon roll, Eggs Benedict, and some quiche. It was the best cinnamon roll I've ever had in my life! The ambience and the service was exceptional. I cannot wait to go back!

Salmon with mango salsa and charred broccolini.

My 4 is a tad generous but it's based on the freshness of food and the delightful service. Our server was attentive and helpful. Half the house was full on a Tuesday night. Our drinks were well crafted. The onion topped focaccia was irresistable. (Even the 2nd basket!) Dunked in oil topped with herbs it became a bit complicated in flavor which is the one complaint I'd make. A single flavor is hard to shine when it's muddled in with so many others. The food came quickly. The sign: 'Try our Seabass' was a tease as they were out (at 6). I had them do the Seabass sides/garnish on the salmon and it was tasty. Riper mango would have been nice. My husband ranked his shrimp and grits a 6.5 out of 10. He eats it everywhere so has comparisons he likes better. He did like the coconut encrusted shrimp. The thick grits, not so much. The largest disappointment was the donut dessert. Highly recommended, the round donut (really a fancy hush puppy) was tasty but the ice cream served with it had about 5 too many add ins/flavors. Even the menu description seemed contrary-too many flavors - again - all muddled together. It's nice for Bellevue to have a restaurant with an upscale menu and I suspect they'll fine tune some dishes upon reviews like this. Keep at it!...as the basics were there! And the service was perfect!

Anyone who's given this place less than 5 stars is a moron without taste buds and I'll say that with my whole chest. The food is GOOD. Unbelievably good. Don't listen to the haters because I'm a picky picky monster and will be coming back.

Food was delicious and the server was very knowledgeable and good at describing the food. I had the chicken and Mac n cheese and my husband had the salmon. We will be back!

Eggs in purgatory
Kayla J.

TERRIBLE service and subpar food: The ambience was okay, besides the sick waitress coughing on me. But the presentation of the dishes was misleadingly appealing. The eggs in purgatory paired with cheese grits (I guess that's close enough to the promised polenta...) we're EXTREMELY SALTY, and I'm not a super picky eater, I was actually pretty hungry and tried to stick it out but I knew if I continued I'd give myself pre-hypertension from the mountain of salt that was dumped into the food! When the waitress asked how it was and I was honest with her about the salt, she said she'd talk to the cook, only to come back and say that they can't make it any differently and in fact EVERYTHING on the menu would be that salty unless I ordered pancakes or French toast. It seemed like she didn't want to wait tables and wanted me out the door, but I tried again with the Grandfather breakfast plate (like a fool) and was serve STALE HARD bacon, not well done but STALE as if it had been cooked several hours ago. This place was an EPIC WASTE of money and does not live up to its upscale pricing and white tablecloths. Don't be fooled.

The interior is stunning, the service was on point. Professional and personable at the same time. We had the pleasure of sitting outside on a beautiful evening. It was perfect. We started with the tuna tartare and marinated octopus. I'm iffy when it comes to octopus. If it isn't done right, it's horrific. This was so tender, sliced thin, and was a perfect bite with the chilled potatoes. The tuna tartare was equally as good, but the octopus stole show. The tuna has a burnt orange vinaigrette around the outside of the plate. It's more than just a garnish. Make sure you get a bite with the tuna. For dinner we had the bolognese, duck ragu, and braised short rib. All three dishes melted in your mouth. The duck was my favorite, I added a little whipped ricotta to each bite and it was just 10/10. For dessert I asked if they could make a pistachio martini, and gave them the ingredients. Their bartender hadn't heard of one, free poured it, and absolutely nailed it. The cannoli filling was too sweet and too thick for me. It tasted like thick buttercream icing. Personal preference, but I prefer a lighter filling. All in all, I would say don't walk to Luogo...RUN. Reservations are highly recommended.

I was intrigued by that grilled Caesar and it was interesting (you should add the anchovies since they come in the side) , the rest had lots of that Sicilian spice that I love in a delicate fashion. Service was on time and very warm and comfortable. The wine list, very Italian favored, I was very lucky with my "shoot from the hip" selection (some brunello di moltsnccino) red), I'm a Spaniard wine guy. For dessert we ordered a tiramisú and I was shocked because it came served in an espresso machine, which took me back to my childhood. The only thing that didn't cut it was the Rob Roy, new bartender generations must learn how to fix the oldest and best appetitive. All around one the very best places I have eaten in Nashville, Tennessee since 1988.

Only one of us had been to Pelato's so this was a fun experience. The food was absolutely delicious. We all shared the Potato Croquettes, Meatballs, Escargot, Burnt Broccolini, Garlic Bread, Chicken Parm, Radiatori Vodka, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Stromboli. Everything was delicious and would order again. However, the star of the show for me was the Radiatori Vodka, Burnt Broccolini, and Garlic Bread. The Radiatori Vodka was a thick radiatori pasta made in house. The pasta held a lot of the delicious vodka sauce and had just the right amount of spice to it. Even if you aren't a fan of "spicy" you would still enjoy this dish. The Burnt Broccolini was amazing. When our coworker suggested Pelato's, this was the dish that she raved about and she was correct. I didn't realize broccoli could taste this good but they found a way with just the right amount of char and lemon. The Garlic Bread, although sounds basic and plain had a garlic/cheese sauce that was out of this world. One thing to know and the waiter informed us right away is that these are "small plates". The idea is you order several dishes for the table and share. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable and told us what dishes we should order two of so everyone at our table could try. The atmosphere was semi-casual. We went on a Wednesday evening and they were very busy. We had a reservation and I would highly suggest making a reservation before you go. I'm sure they can still get you in without a reservation but seeing how busy they were on a Wednesday I would highly suggest making one before you go.

Our waitress never stopped walking, took our menus without asking (it's small plates and we're used to holding onto 1 at least), she asked us if we were having dessert and we "Not to..." and she grabbed our menus and said that she'd be back with our check. Granted, it was a Saturday night but the restaurant was emptying by the time we were halfway through. The manager also introduced himself at the beginning, but walked away in the middle of our conversation. We were done with our meal in under an hour which is absurd in my opinion. The only person who didn't rush us was the person who brought our wine. Food: this is the redeeming factor. The pasta was delicious, and full of flavor. The broccolini was great, especially the sauce and not woody at all. Ambiance: it was very loud, even outside because of the music. Also the chairs are mismatched, but not in an intentional way. Like cheap outdoor chairs and some nice ones. Overall, service wasn't bad, just rushed and food was delicious.

The restaurant is in a complex of several establishments. The dining room decor is modern with seating on two levels. When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated as the restaurant was fairly busy on a Monday night, I assume due to the happy hour special that runs all night. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Service was pretty one-note as well, not rude but not particularly attentive either. Dinner ran $120 with tip including two cocktails and one beer. Really disappointing.

It was a warm, toasted, garlicky loaf, but "stuffed" with a sweet, whipped cream cheese. I don't know how chef does it, but when you go here you MUST order this sensation!!! Not to be out done, the arancini. Perfectly toasted balls of rice with a very tangy tomato sauce. It was the perfect pairing with the garlic bread. I would 100% recommend these two together!!!! Onto the entrees... we had the Cacio Pepe and Bolognese. You really can't go wrong here. Both pasta dishes were amazing, full of flavor and perfect portion.
