Inside this majestic building on the corner of Francis and Thomas street, is a fine café. Noto offers the typical coffeehouse-menu but also pre-packed sandwiches, couscous or pasta-salads to grab. If you're not in a hurry, this is a place where you have to enjoy your coffee and panini while sitting in to really appreciate the place. I won't say that you'll get the best coffee and sambos in town, but the high ceiling and large windows with curved lines (great for people-watching) make Noto a comfy spot to relax for an afternoon. If you have to get work done, bring your laptop. The staff doesn't mind if you sit around for a while, as long as you don't bother them too much.

Caffe Noto would not find itself out of place in New York. It is an ultra-cool, high ceilinged cafe on Thomas Street, with exposed brickwork walls, a painted concrete floor, bare mahogany and duck-egg blue painted furniture, and plenty of chrome and glass around the service counter. The clientele are an eclectic bunch, where foreign students sit alongside the roly-smoking, beret touting artists of the area. The glass display cabinet houses delectable brownies, individual crumbles, cookies and caramel slices. The sandwiches are what some would call gourmet - parma ham panini with rocket and thick slices of buffalo mozzerella, mmmm... There's a small selection of salads to eat in or take-away, the best of which is the broccoli, feta and hazelnut, priced at a reasonable €5.50.

    Excellent cup of cappuccino!

Great place to stop in for a coffee and a sandwich. We stopped in today for a cappuccino sprinkled with a dusting of chocolate...yum! Very pleasant friendly staff works here.

I went to Noto cafe to get some paper work done, and the place was perfect for it. Its bigger than you would think it is and has many seats in the middle and facing the big glass windows and they have free wifi. I had espresso macchiato and cuscus salad. I didnt like my salad but the coffee was good, I would rate it 6/10. The service was good, staff were friendly and the place is nice, it has this french touch with all the frames and paintings hanged on the walls, wooden tables and chairs. Plus, good music.

Unbeatable almond croissant in cafe Noto is probably the only reason I wake up in the morning.

My no.1 breakfast cafe in the area. Amazing friendly staffs and relax settings and quiet enough to have some reading.

Not a bad place to stop for a coffee , good wifi which is usually hit and miss in a lot of coffee shops in the city.

With just a few small tables and chairs outside, the standing room only interior is a picture of economy. These were my first impressions as customers steadily streamed inside to place orders and then leave to wait for their sandwich or sit a bit. My eyes locked into the pastrami melt sandwich on the menu and I waited my turn, albeit a bit nervously, to place my order with one of the three gents who were slinging the sandwiches. All the ingredients in the deli case looked fresh, from the lettuce, meats, cheese, etc, to the types of bead on top of the case, like the focaccia. Each sandwich is made fresh, and once assembled, is pressed to warm the roll and melt the cheese. My pastrami melt arrived loaded with the meat, and all the ingredients enhanced by the deli mustard made for a great tasting sandwich. It's probably the best pastrami sandwich I've tasted in a long while. Every employee was patient and helpful, and I found this to be quite an effort since customers kept placing orders without much of a break. The Pig & Heifer is definitely worth a repeat visit.

I accidentally dropped the top dollop of the croffin and the staff member was very kind to replace it with a new one, which was not necessary but VERY much appreciated! It was very clean, organized, and well run/managed. They have two restrooms and have water available as well. We enjoyed this place so much we went twice (which we try not to do) during our Ireland road trip! Tried the onion and the potato savory pastries and they were perfect! Their chocolate croissant was also wonderful. Very buttery and flaky. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5

I didn't wait more than 5/10 minutes. I grabbed a couple of different things for us to try -- the focaccia, morning bun, salted caramel roll, and the cinnamon roll. My favorite was easily the focaccia, which could compete with the best I had in Italy -- so good. The morning bun was good, but nothing crazy exciting. The salted caramel roll had to be the least caramel-y caramel roll I've ever had, but it didn't taste bad and the salted part was interesting (in a good way!). The Cinnamon roll was unique, which I appreciate. It had a big glob of cream cheese frosting (too much for me, but I imagine it would float a lot of folks' boats) and some orange flavoring! I quite liked the orange. I wanted to get a matcha to go, but they said they didn't have disposable cups. You could buy a 5 euro reusable one and then if you brought it back you'd get a refund... interesting, but I was leaving that day and wouldn't be back in the area. I can't speak to the ambiance because we were in and out, but it looked like they had a decent amount of space. All in all, I would recommend this place! For me it was a 4, but I'm sure for some it would bop up to a 5.

Outside was as mess, there were no chairs at some tables and other had to many with dirty dishes on them. So we decided to go in. There was no hostess nor any wait staff so we stood there like stooges. Finally ,two of the wait staff walked right by and just ignored us so we decided to take a seat. Now they want to come talk to us! I asked if this seat was ok and got the reply "I guess it will have to be as you already sat down". Should have got up then but the wife was tired so decided to stay. It was crazy warm in there with little air flow. I liked the atmosphere and ambience. Guess they wanted to make a point as we sat there for 15 mins without water or anybody coming by. Had to flag down what appeared to be a bus boy to get water. Finally had order taken by male bus boy who seemed he wanted to be anywhere else and said "I am waiting". We ordered two "specials" and the bœuf bourguignon. Two separate couples came in and were served before we received our food. So hard to eat as it was 80-85 degrees in there. The beef was good and would recommend. The two specials were chicken and very very dry. To wrap it up we had to hunt down the wait staff to get the ticket as they actively avoided eye contact. Fairly expensive for just ok food and horrible service. Customer service is not hard. A "Welcome" or "Glad you came in" goes a long way.
