The food is great and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The hostess is very friendly. Would recommend

One of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant. Servers were unprofessional, ours hardly came by at all because she was flirting with some guy at the bar most of our time there. It took her way too long to get our food out, consistently brought us wrong drinks/food. I am highly disappointed in our visit because I've only heard good things. The staff ruined my entire visit. Went there today during lunch, awesome food terrible service. Our server was Sam and she needs to go through some type of re training. She was terrible. The place was not packed and she hardly came to our table. My girlfriend asked for a wine list and Sam never came back to ask us which wine we wanted. Sam did not give us bread until after I asked, which should NEVER happen. She came to our table twice, once to take our order and once to ask if we were ready for the check. Otis was amazing and I wish he couldve been our waiter. Will be back for the food in hopes that Sam is not our server. read more

I used to LOVE coming from out of town to Bryan, TX just for Cafe Capri for their fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, but as soon as I got my food today, it was slightly colder, and some of the chicken pieces were not fully cooked. Our waitress seemed very bored from our table and I did not feel comfortable trying to enjoy my half-good meal. Even though I did mention this to the waitress, all she said was: "I'll let the cooks know" but didn't refund the chicken ($3), or have the manager speak with me. After today, I will not come back anymore. I would've rather spent my $13 somewhere else. read more

This is my favorite place for Italian in the Bryan/College Station area. I love the Key West Fettucini and the Tortellini Alla Capri. The ambiance of the restaurant also makes it a favorite. I would give it 5 stars instead of 4, but the salads are mediocre at best. We need some better greens and salad dressings to bring those up to 5 star standards. The oil and vinegar dressing usually is way short on vinegar, too. If you are looking for a plateful of food that is more calories than you should consume in a day, this is not the right place to go. I took my parents here a while back. It was all of our first times there. I really felt like I could get the same quality food at any other chain restaurant. The atmosphere is cool, and I love the concept there. The location is great! I love DT Bryan. We were awkwardly forced to listen to the two ladies have a loud conversation in the kitchen while we were eating, as well. I can't even tell you what is my favorite dish because they are all good. But the ones that stick out most are anything with the meatballs, lobster ravioli, and the bow tie pasta. This restaurant boasts a pleasant nostalgic family bistro setting in downtown Bryan. The food seemed quite plain though. Not just the presentation, which I can do without when it comes to good food. But the pasta was not al dente and the sauces seemed a little bland. I like Italian with a little flare, but Cafe Capri is just oh-so close, but not quite. THe restaurant offers a quiet atmosphere and delicious food that includes some great vegetarian options. Personally, the pesto ravioli makes me weak at the knees! Went here with my mom for my birthday. Atmosphere was definitely more date friendly than dinner with mom friendly, mood lighting with individual lights at each table. Semi-loud though from kitchen, music and noises carrying. Bread was homemade and fresh out of the oven. Delicious. The Olive Oil/balsamic vinegar dip on the table was lacking flavor and spices, low quality olive oil. The second best thing is the staff: funny, friendly, hard-working and all around great people. The bulk of the food here is pasta in some form of cream sauce. Not my thing at all, locals seem to really love it. Salads are very ordinary and uninspired. There is a chicken dish for those of us watching carbs and its ok...no more no less. The wine list is very uninspired and limited. I believe an Italian-American family owns it, and I would love to see this place evolve into a trattoria type establishment. But then that would drive away most of the carb 'n cream hungry regulars who pack this place out, so I understand the business model perfectly well. Too bad. The best! This was my wife and my favorite spot while in college, and we still take long trips from Houston for the sole reason of going here for dinner. From the pre-meal bread through the desert, everything is wonderful. Their lobster and penne pasta dish is on the short list of my favorite dishes of all time. If I'm ever wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to death, this would be one of the first requests on my final meal wish list. The ambience is great as is the service. Even with the large sample size, we have never had a bad expeirence. Caffe' Capri is by FAR my favorite place to eat in Bryan/College Station. For the last three years, I have come at least once a month to get some of their incredible spaghetti and meatballs. I always bring any out of town visitors to dine here and I've never heard of a dish coming out any less than great! The prices are very fair, and I especially love coming for lunch since I am on a college budget. Over the years, I have only one instance that I can think of that was slightly unpleasant. Went here for dinner on a weeknight with my friends. I love the restaurant's location in historic downtown Bryan. The inside is cozy. Our server, William, was very helpful and nice. I got the seafood ravioli, which was good, but didn't blow me away. The chocolate toffee mousse with kahlua was very delicious however! And the fresh bread was great. We don't get to Downtown Bryan enough but during one of the worlds scariest moments and me being an essential food worker and husband being essential were so tired from carrying extra loads being short staffed take out is easier! Supporting local is hard sometimes when corporate fast food is easier and cheaper but at a time like this local needs us more than ever and Rami and staff made dinner amazing made me miss my Grandma something terrible but the food is made with such love, caring, respect and yumminess the real Italian way! Meatballs so tender they just melt in your mouth, the sauce chunks of tomato and not over acidic way I remember my grandmother making it! The Ciabatta bread crispy yet so soft and covered in perfectly broiled mozzarella Finally a real Cannoli without Cinnamon the actual Italian way so crispy, creamy, chocolatey, and scrumptious! The raspberry Italian Cream Soda wow where in the world have I been so divine and decedent. The most important thing of it all was the customer service hands down the guy whom I forgot his name so sorry but he was delightful, respectful and caring and that doesn't seem to exist anymore!!! This experience, food, drink and service was 100 star rating! I'm both shocked and a little ashamed that I never ate at Caffe Capri when I was a student at A&M. It even took me a year and a half of working in the Bryan/College Station area before I finally walked through Rami's doors. But really, that was all it took. I love the ambience and atmosphere of Caffe Capri. You're not going to get candlelight and a thin-mustachioed gentleman playing you a romantically inspired violin solo, but who has time for that anachronistic crap? Caffe Capri has a cozy diner feel with food that is much better than you'd expect from a place with a cozy diner feel. Like most Italian joints, this one will be lamented for not having "authentic" food, but as I've said before, unless you recently befriended a world-wizened old Italian grandmother who still keeps her pasta sauce simmering with secret spices for 72 straight hours, you're going to find that very few Italian restaurants are going to capture that level of magic. Drop the standard a notch - after all, if Caffe Capri and the Olive Garden were visiting the beach, Olive Garden would be the ninety-pound weakling getting his face pushed into the sand by Capri's muscular behemoth. And the woman they chauvinistically squabble over? That's you, consumer. Go with the Charles Atlas look-a-like and brag to all your girlfriends. The last time I went to Caffe Capri I ordered something fairly innocuous: A chicken caesar salad. And you know what? It was beautiful. There was a PERFECT dressing-to-lettuce ratio, just the right amount of cheese topping it, and the grilled chicken (crisp on the edges, delectably seasoned throughout) was arranged in a flower pattern atop my dish. Caffe Capri is not afraid to dress it up for you. Their food is like a hooker with a heart of gold - slutty enough to make you want it, but with just a touch of class, so you're not afraid to show these meals off to mom. read more

Caffe Capri is a very cute update to small downtown restaurants. The space is appealing and comfortably simple. I had no trouble getting a large work group seated a on a Monday night. While there were several other parties having dinner, it didn't feel crowded. The service was quite good, and our waitress kept our large party organized and hydrated without issue. The menu is simple, with variations among a few sauces and pastas, but nothing overly ambitious or creative. I ordered the tortellini alla capri, which was solidly edible, including as leftovers. Visually, all of the dishes look extremely similar (based on their base sauce), but I didn't come here for pizzaz. Portions are fair/good for dinner, and while it didn't knock my socks off, I would eat here again. Dessert is the the selling point of the Caffe Capri experience. The portions and quality of the cheesecake, tiramisu, and chocolate toffee mousse were serious crowd pleasers. The cannoli met with no complaints, but while it seemed slightly larger than average, I can't evaluate it's flavor. Overall, this seems an amazing spot to have a simple dinner, or EVEN BETTER a glass of wine and dessert. There isn't much diversity or creativity to the dinner menu, but if you like pasta, you will likely enjoy the reasonably priced predictable fare. read more
