The coffee was weak and served in a drinking glass so not hot. The "squeak" had good flavor, but also had hit and misses. Poached egg and hollandaise, excellent. Generous bacon but not crispy. The scalloped potatoes was limp. It DOES NOT open at 8AM but at 9. When I asked the manager about it, he responded with a blase attitude. It was chilly outside so I had second thoughts, wish I left. The manager did not bother to let me know it was open as he chatted away, and evidently let a customer in but promptly locked the door. What??? The server was a millimeter better on the human scale of personality. Also the food took quite a while to come out. Mind you I was the second, but first sit down customer. Maybe the staff should do more prepping instead of chilling over a cook of coffee. It is on the pricier side. I could have ate at my hotel for a few euros less. Guess I know where I will be tomorrow morning.

Love that the cups are compostable and the lids are recyclable. Glad they offer to-go during the pandemic. I have tried several dedicated specialty coffee roasters in Berlin but now focus nearly exclusively on Bonanza. Big, rich, complex and wonderfully distinctive selections, really deftly roasted. My visit to Prenzlauer Berg was made especially worthwhile by an employee who not only knew the current selections in detail, but had excellent personal recommendations. She said she was particularly impressed by the La Pitina Natural Costa Rica, and WOW did she nail that. What a full-on flavor bomb those beans turned out to be, and her recommendation of the Akinyi Shamba Kenya was also knockout - - LOVE these coffees. After that visit I ordered them again online from here in Hamburg, and am again very pleased. I really appreciate Bonanza's service and dedication (not to forget superb buying and roasting!) across all facets of the operation. Not only will they fix your espresso machine but you can buy one, all the products you need and exotic beans for the perfect cup of coffee in the morning. If really interested in an espresso machine, they may even make you an espresso to try it first, at least that's what they did for me. They were nice to work with & knowing this is a local family owned shop made my purchase even more valuable.

Kind of reminds me of one of those study tables in a library. To your right there are small tables more suitable for one to two person per table for conversations or reading.
