I love Godshot and I've been here for over 7 years now. The coffee quality is great and the coffee is made with love. BUT today there was a different person (young skinny asian woman) serving us. She was BY FAR THE RUDEST waitress we came across in Prenzlauer Berg. This one has to be short and sweet, just like my visit, but if you're in the area it's a must for a caffeine hit. I had a little spare time before dinner so decided to grab a coffee and wandered by Godshot. Warm, cosy interior: check. Inviting, friendly staff: check. Great range of coffee: check. Loved that I had three types of espresso to choose from! I went Italian and it was precisely what I needed after an epic journey to Berlin. The whole place has a family-friendly and community vibe; whilst I was there there was a party of mums and their kids enjoying a natter and some cake, and another dude (I think from the book shop next door -- which also looks ace and I'm sad I missed the chance to browse) was there with his wee girl. Basically, it's totally lovely. Five stars is potentially generous for one visit that lasted less than an hour, but I really loved the vibe. I've a feeling I'll be back one day. read more

Why? - overpriced (3.7 € for a cappuccino) - coffee is served way too hot, burns your lips upon the first sip - quality: only two roast options to pick from and both kinda disappointing. - atmosphere: it looks/feels messy( as in disorganized) Service is ok tho. read more

Great coffee and awesome place to sit and drink, probably one of my favorite cafes to hang or at while visiting Berlin. The atmosphere is super chill, plenty of places to sit outside or inside on a couple levels. I really enjoyed the music as well, had to Shazam a few songs during my visit to add to my playlists. Godshot is simply in another league, the coffee is excellent, the staff are friendly, and above all are really into coffee. They know their stuff. Nice cakes too. There are quite a few coffee coffee shops in Berlin which aspire to be the best, and most are around Prenzlauer Berg, so there is lots of high end competition. Godshot does it better than most, well made drinks, served in a nice relaxed atmosphere. I try to get to Godshot at least once a week. read more

I was visiting here 4 times a week. It has become very inconsistent. I sent an email to ask about it and they were obviously not concerned because I received no reply. Gourmet coffee shouldn't be inconsistent it defeats the purpose and certainly not at these prices. I cant afford to waste 3.60 a pop chancing a good coffee. read more

So I went to Godshot to have a cappucino and I must admit that I expected no less than a certain quality due to all the hype about the place. The service was fine. However, the coffee was really bad. I had a luke warm cappucino and the only reason why I did not question the presence of coffee was due to the color of the cappucino. Later the same day, my friends told me that they had experienced the exact same thing. I will definitely not be back and I doubt that the people who are hyping this place are coffee connoisseurs, but more interested in finding a place different from all the others. read more
