Smørrebrød, I think it was called something with Ronja, so yummy!

My favorite cafe in Berlin. The sandwiches "Smørrebrød" are always a great choice. The staff is really nice and the interior is cosy.

this things are called kanelbullar and is something like a cinamonrole and very yummy...

We got in just before noon, and we were glad we did because the place got completely full soon after we got seated. The menus were a little confusing as we don't speak any German and the menus had some English pages mixed in with the German pages (the little footnotes were what really confused me, but then I realized that they were using them as markers for different types of allergens). However, it didn't seem that hard to figure out as most of the offerings for brunch offered either cold cuts, cheese, vegetarian spreads, etc. with pastries and such. I opted for their normal sized vegetarian offering (you can ask for a vegan one also) along with coffee and a 20 mL cup of red currant juice. The bf got an order of their scrambled eggs with bacon, along with a 40 mL cup of orange juice. The vegetarian offering I got was amazing. There were a few different slices of cheese, 2 different types of savory spreads (one yogurt based, and the other was some sort of curried spread), and a bunch of fresh fruits. We got a very generous sized basket of bread to share, and it was just a perfect and somewhat light meal. The bf's eggs were delicious, and our juices were fresh and tasy as well. We could easily see why this place was so popular with the locals. Would definitely come back here if I ever happened to find myself in Berlin again.

It was piled with vegetables and I love seeds. They ran out of fries for another dish, but they were substituted with salad, which is arguably better. The waitress was alone but she was really nice and explained everything and provided recommendations. She was attentive to the couple other tables who were also there. The service is great at this restaurant. The restroom is a one off but it is clean. There is a front area and back area with more seating. We sat in the front and looked out the large windows to the street.

I had the spinach soup and the curry dish and both of them were great portions and left me feeling damn delightful. Just 2 gripes, but not docking any stars for this because the food, ambience, and friendliness of service were all really good. Just want to make management aware: 1) They asked if I wanted the soup first, then the dish and I said "yes" but they brought both out at the same time, and 2) someone kept blasting the news and random hip-hop tunes on top of the chill, ambient music they had in the background, which kind of threw a ripple into the mood. All-in-all, a good experience and I would come back.

Everything in the platter was delicious, but the falafel in particular was out of this world!!! It was so different from the falafels I'm used to. It's crunchy on the outside. Locate the place and order the most recommended dish. Al-Andalos is located in the busy part of Neukölln, right on Sonnenallee. On a Saturday night at 10 p.m., it was full to the rim. No seats, stressed out staff, people fight for seats and the spot in the line to get the delicious food. We ordered the Al-Andalos platter for two (meat) for 11 EUR, which comes with an entire package of Arabic/Lebanese bread. We were barely able to finish the entire plate, there are many tasty things on this plate and even my companion that night, who is generally not so quickly to impress, admitted that it was probably the best he has eaten in a long time. Fresh, tasty, large portions and fair prices. Staff is super friendly and attentive! I think I will have to drive out to Neukölln more often!

The fact that clean, delicious (and often vegan!) food can exist in a modern, aesthetically pleasing restaurant and that people who don't abide by certain dietary restrictions can enjoy and crave. I have an enormous soft spot for baked beans over toast. An English breakfast, if you may. (This is the one mainstay of all of the weeks I've spent in London.) And most of the time, I have a hard time getting this baked beans-over-toast fix because I don't eat red meat, so a proper English breakfast would be out of the question. Not in Berlin. Not at Chipps. I came in on a rainy fall morning on the hunt for the Perfect Gentlemen: scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, baked beans over toast, and my choice of a vegetarian sausage. And while utterly veg-friendly and endearingly hip (the baked beans came to my table in a little jar), I couldn't help but notice that the meal, such a British staple, fell flat because of what I was comparing it to. The two pieces of vegetarian sausage were cold and the baked beans were just a tad too sweet. But still, maybe Chipps could be your Berlin. Try one of the many other options they have on their menu and I have a feeling you won't be disappointed.

Love this place. Little Green Rabbit is a chain, but this one is quite inviting…read more I was in the area, looking for a place to eat for lunch when I saw this place. It was the green umbrellas and seating outdoors that called to me. Unfortunately, like other outdoor dining areas in Europe, smoking is allowed. I just knew I would have to deal with that if I wanted to sit outside. I already saw a few people smoking. When you walk into the restaurant, the menu is posted on the wall behind the counter. It's a casual environment. As the name suggests, the food is vegetarian. Posted on the menu are stuffed baked potatoes, soups, salads, and juices. Bottled drinks in a refrigerator to the side. Tall table seating indoors. The salads are either small or large. I ordered a small quinoa salad and grabbed a bottled pomegranate tea from the refrigerator. While the gentleman rung me up at the register, someone else put my salad together. All fresh ingredients in a bowl. Glad I decided on a small because large is way too much food. A rabbit can only eat so much in one sitting. My drink was good and salad delicious. I used the restroom before I left, which is on the right hand side, through the side door. Had to mention it because the ladies room is a tiny stall for one. Cashless, so don't forget to bring your credit card.

But, that's truly enough, as what they prepare is all very-very good. The way this restaurant is designed is that you walk inside, decide what you want from their menu, and you order it at the counter. No cash. Only card. Then, it is prepared very quickly. I mean, they really do a great job of preparing each dish very fast. In terms of seating, for their interior they have a couple of long group tables and some two person tables along their wall. Me, that's where I like to sit. They also have a large amount of outdoor tables. Most of these table have umbrellas, so it is a great place to sit if you want to enjoy the air. The one problem I have with sitting at their outdoor tables is the same problem I have with virtually all of the restaurants in Berlin, they allow to people to smoke at these tables. One would think, at a vegetarian restaurant, they would not allow smoking. But, I have even witnessed staff members taking a break and going out there for a smoke. This is just something to keep in mind. Normally, I too prefer to sit outside, but I hate to have my eating experience diminished by someone smoking next to me. Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. The food is very good. They staff are all very nice. And, you walk away feeling as if you have actually done something very good for your body.
