Total surprise! Enter through the gas station to an absolutely delightful Italian restaurant. DH had the pizza which he said had more cheese than any pizza he'd had without ordering extra cheese. I had a really flavorful chicken with artichoke penne. Wait staff was attentive, glasses never empty. We asked for short chairs instead of pub height which are in the bar. Seating was in the back, almost a private room with a big screen showing lovely photos from around the world and Frank Sinatra playing. Overall a delightful meal in an unexpected setting. read more

I have retried this place a couple times in the last three years. Today was no different than the last several times. Service was great. But the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the pork lettuce wraps as an appetizer. They were so bad I really could not eat them. Sent them back. I ordered the trip tip steak for my main course. It was a very uneven cut. I ordered medium rare, so parts were well and parts were rare. It came with grilled veggies, they were good fresh veggies not previously frozen. My last time trying this place again. Really hard to find a quality place in Pocatello. Sad to say, I have to rely on all the chains restaurants. At least they are pretty consistent and you know what to order and NOT order. read more

It was surprising that the entrance to the restaurant was through the gas station but don't let that discourage you. The menu is great and the food authentic Italian and delicious. Went here looking for a good date night restaurant. We will NOT be going back again. I got the tri tip Gorgonzola pasta....the tri tip was so chewy I literally couldn't eat it and they topped the dish with ALOT of bleu cheese (which it did NOT mention in the description) and I hate bleu cheese, it over powered the whole dish. My boyfriend got the flank steak with "berry vinegarette" which was basically blended berries....no vingeratte to it! Needless to say neither of us ate our entrees. We also ordered the cheese "fondue" which I assumed would come in a fondue pot but came in a small soup cup instead. The crawfish bisque was tasty but had no crawfish in it. There aren't many options for good food in Pocatello, but I'd rather go to a chain restaurant before coming here again. read more

Called about an hr and a half before closing on a Sunday to see if they could fit 15 people. We had just left a funeral viewing and were looking for a place open that would take all of us. No hesitation they said yes. We were seated at one very large table with a firplace close and had the room to ourselves so it was very family style. Our waiter was fantastic kept our drinks full and gave us great suggestions of what to pick. We have been there 2 other times and have never been disappointed. My sister's spaghetti bowl was completely filled with water, thus making my sister's bread completely soggy. The chicken there was so artificial that I couldn't eat it. YUM!!! I don't really frame this as "Italian" in my mind, since my favorite item is the *delicious* French Dip Panini. Soooooo goooooood. We also tried the Greek salad, a grilled cheese, and a delicious mushroom pasta. Everything tasted fresh and like it was high quality. Our server was friendly and helpful. The sandwiches and salad were good portions, but the pasta was pretty small (which we considered unfortunate since it was so tasty). First, forget the place is attached to a gas station. Walk in the gas station and to the left is the portal to Narnia. Once you pass through the door, it doesn't feel like a gas station restaurant. I'm not going to lie, I was was being judgey and just hoping for edible food. I was tired, the rest of the food in Pocatello wasn't great, and I just wanted to eat and go back to my hotel. I've traveled a lot and I'm very picky...this is probably one of the best meals I've had. Maybe my expectations were low, I don't know...but I cleaned my plate and I never do that. My father and I stumbled on this FANTASTIC restaurant on our road trip. Do not let the fact that you enter from a gas station fool you! We stopped at the restaurant at the top of the hill, but fortunately they were not open yet. My dad had the potato soup. He said it was wonderful! I had a sandwich that was wonderful. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. He was even kind enough to ask about our trip. Well first time here and had the crawfish buisk and it was great! The lobster ravioli was not as good though.

I ordered the shrimp scampi special with a side salad, glass of France Pinot Noir and shared a slice of the carmel salted cheesecake. The service was fine. There was another table with a couple and one with a single diner. It was pretty quiet. I woke up at 1:30 am with major stomach aches. I woke up again at 5:00 with more painful stomach aches. I took a Pepto Bismol pill to settle my stomach and it's still not feeling better. I'm in Idaho traveling for work and being sick from food is the worst. Food poisoning from the shrimp scampi. My coworker didn't have it and she was fine. I felt great before the meal, walked back to the hotel and hours later, I am having major stomach aches. Needless to say, I will not return. I'd like to add that on the following day, I took pepto Bismol for the whole entire day, ate two slices of dry bread and 7up. I would not be surprised if other customers experienced food poisoning from having the shrimp scampi, too. read more
