While spending your day at Glen Ivy resort you are bound to get hungry. We stopped in at the Cafe Sol which is inside the resort. The place is nice with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a terrace above to eat as well. As you are eating they come around and clear your plates once done. As you walk in you are given a tray and utensils. There are monitors above showing what each section serves and you wait in the line of the section you choose. They have salads, sandwiches and wraps, nachos and pizza, and dessert. We opted for the sandwich spot. The price of a sandwich is $16-$18 so I'm here thinking it's gonna be great. The food is definitely overpriced for what it is and the food is just okay. We ordered a turkey pesto panini and a turkey avocado sandwich and shared. One of them came with a pasta salad and the other with some fruit. The panini was the favorite. It tasted good and the bread was soft. The fruit was also very sweet and fresh. As for the turkey avocado it was bland and the meat was dry. It needed some sauce or add ons. The pasta salad did not have any seasoning and it was like eating boiled penne. For a soft drink it was $5 and you get refills thru the day. Once your inside there aren't many food options so you kind of get stuck here. The food is okay and prices are high but if your hungry it's gotta do.

Wow! I'm so impressed by this restaurant! Located inside Glen Ivy Hot Springs, I honestly thought they'd serve sub par food at ridiculously high prices since, you're already at the spa and you have no choice but to eat there, like any amusement park, but no, the food's reasonably priced for the amount you receive, and it's all delicious. All the food's brought in from local farmers, keeping it fresh, healthy and reasonably priced. Their theme is Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. It's all made to order and you pick from three different stations. They have a special everyday. The day I went it was pho. There's a sandwich station that includes soups, and pasta w/marinara as a side dish. There are also pizzas, calzones, tacos, and huge wonderful salads. The salads are $12 - $16 but they are massive, I kid you not, as big as a head of lettuce, enough to share and then some. Seared ahi tuna salads, chicken, blackened wild salmon, etc. The first time I ate here I had the greek special w/gyro meat on pita bread w/yogurt, very tasty. The second time I had the tacos. You get three w/a choice of shrimp, wild salmon, beef or chicken. I had a salmon, a shrimp and a beef. All came w/cilantro sauce, and some other seasoning. Wasn't a big fan of the salmon w/dill.. the meat was very firm like it was marinated in something, sweet. The beef and shrimp ones were delicious. I couldn't help myself and also got a fresh oatmeal cookie, sooo good! There's also yummy potato chips, haagen daaz ice cream bars and specialty drinks. It's nice to know you can have a wonderful meal as you pamper yourself at this spa!

The ahi Poki salad!

Overall: The atmosphere and the service is great. The food is overpriced. FOOD: So how it works, it's set up like a cafeteria where they make it fresh in front of you. There is a salad section (ahi poke, chicken Caesar, and 2 others), a pizza and sandwich section, and a desert section. You pick up a tray and head to the sign where you want to order and tell the staff what you would like. I ordered the kale and spinach 3 cheese quesadilla ($16)and my friend ordered the ahi poke salad ($18). They make the items right in front of you (pretty nice, can tell it's not microwave food or pre-made). She absolutely loved her salad and when I tried it, I somewhat did also. It felt just like something that I could make at home or order at a Japanese restaurant for a lower price. When I received mine, I felt the same way also. It was good but I could probably do it at home or order elsewhere. ATMOSPHERE: You can sit outside under the umbrellas, or inside (there is also an outside shaded area away from umbrellas). It reminds of me of being in Vegas in one of the grand hotel's pool area. It is lush with green plants and decorative chairs and tables. There are servers asking if everything is fine. Overall, just gorgeous. How could it not be with all the green and the pools nearby?! SERVICE: Amazing. Once again they're coming around asking how you are doing and if you need anything. The staff you rings you up at the counter asks how your day is going, what treatments you did, etc. Friendly and honestly interested in you. I like them :) I think I'll just come back to sit in the shade and munch on the snacks I bring unless I am SUPER hungry. But really, they were nice and very helpful.

Mmmm! A cafe smack dab in the middle of our little oasis. Here at Glen Ivy, Cafe Sole offers a spectacular variety of healthy soulful food. - Italian, Salads, Sandwiches, Tacos and more. As Cynthia A. said, ridiculously high priced but will sure have you saying "You get what you pay for." You pay a pretty penny for the amount of cilantro, shrimp and over flowing citrus juice coming out of your Shrimp & Salmon tacos. (Enter Shrimp & Salmon taco visual here) Definitely delicious and would definitely come back for more! Grab a glass of wine to wash down all of that wholesome goodness. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 5/5 Ambiance - The mood, character, quality, tone, atmosphere. 5/5 Service - Helpful, accommodating, efficient, delivery and speed? 5/5 Food / Merchandise - Quality, taste, presentation. 3/5 Price - Reasonable, inexpensive, high priced? This salad was gross. Ingredients tasted old and stale. I didn't even finish it.

Unfortunately this is the only restaurant on the property if I can remember correctly. The cafe is cafeteria style and certain meals are prepared ahead of time, which doesn't make the meal very fresh. I ordered the southwestern salad and the lettuce was brown. The salad was underdressed and the toppings were stale. It was practically tasteless. The only salad I think were made to order was the poke salad. My boyfriend had a salad and he seemed pretty pleased with it. The line is also really long just to enter the cafe depending on which hour you decide to eat. It really sucks there's nothing else to eat.

chicken nacho.

The decor and ambiance was very soothing and modern. The place was clean and organized. Definitely a great spot for a date. Food 9/10 Me and my girlfriend got the Apple empanadas and the chefs platter. The other party ordered a mole brisket dish and something that had gravy which I don't remember. The Apple empanadas was so good. It was like eating an hot apple pie with cinnamon on top and adding this milky sauce on top which melts in your mouth. So good! I loved the chefs platter which was $70 and it was enough for 2-3 people. The chefs platter contained chicken, steak, juicy plantain, chilaquiles, and homestyle potatoes. This dish was absolutely amazing and everything tasted great. Service 8/10 The service was good. Our waiter was always checking in on us and getting everything we needed in a timely matter. During our meal, the drink waitress accidentally dropped two full drinks all over my 4-year-old niece. It was a literal waterfall pouring over her. Her dress was completely drenched, and she was covered in drinks and ice. Her mom also had coffee spilled all over her dress and shoes. Thankfully, we had extra clothes in the car, but it was still a pretty upsetting experience -- especially for a child. Our main waiter did come over and offered 20% off the meals and 3 free desserts for our party of 11. We appreciated that gesture, and the waitress herself seemed genuinely apologetic. We understand accidents happen. However, when we asked to speak with the manager, his response completely changed the tone of the experience. He didn't seem apologetic at all. We explained that we didn't feel 20% off was enough considering what happened, and he responded with, "I don't know how two people getting drinks on them means you all get free meals." I understand that expecting the entire tab to be covered may have been a stretch, but the issue was more about the lack of empathy and customer service. Dining out is about the overall experience, and his tone made the situation worse. He could have simply offered another solution or responded with more understanding. After that interaction, the service noticeably declined. Staff rarely checked on our table, while the manager continued warmly interacting with other guests nearby. The reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food itself was actually very good. Unfortunately, the overall experience overshadowed it.

While it was made fresh to order and served with hot, crispy fries, the steak itself could have used a little more seasoning. Thankfully, the delicious dipping sauces--including a cheesy sauce and ranch--helped elevate the dish. I went with the Chicken Nachos, and wow...they were absolutely amazing! The portion size was huge and could easily be shared between two people. If I were to do it again, my sister and I would definitely split the nachos and save room for more spa-time relaxation. The only unexpected hiccup during our visit was a power outage. This was completely outside of Glen Ivy's control, as we later learned that Edison had temporarily shut off power to perform service in the area. Fortunately, power was restored within about 45 minutes to an hour. Thankfully, my sister and I had already taken our lunch break before it happened. What really impressed me was how the staff handled the situation. Once power was restored, team members walked throughout the resort personally notifying guests that services were available again. Their communication and professionalism helped make an inconvenient situation much smoother. I would absolutely return to Glen Ivy and Ivy Kitchen. Whether you're looking for something light or a more filling meal, they have options to satisfy just about every appetite. Combined with the beautiful spa setting and attentive staff, it makes for a wonderful experience from start to finish. If you're spending the day at Glen Ivy, be sure to stop by Ivy Kitchen--you won't regret it.

We had a ton of questions about what to order and he provided excellent recommendations. He brought us fresh baked rolls right away which were AHMAZING We both ordered the lunch special which came with soup or salad, 2 sliders, and a side. I chose the garden salad, Western tri-tip, the brisket, and Mac N Cheese. The salad was absolutely delicious!! I dug into it before I took a pick so it's blended together but it had the most delicious croutons and fire grilled corn. The ingredients were really fresh and the salad was not over dressed. The sliders were also really good, however, my first bite of the Western one was literally all fat and I had to spit it out. It made the rest of the sandwich unappetizing but I did hunt for any other major fat pockets and didn't see any. Both sliders were really good. The Mac N Cheese was not my favorite, but I saved it for my daughter and she loved it! Tyler really made our experience epic and the food overall was really good.

Was a fun presentation in the purple cabbage leaf but the slaw itself was pretty underwhelming. Ordered the butter cake to go. It was, again, underwhelming. Overall, it was an okay meal but not worth the price. And there are better bbq places in Corona.

There really wasn't anything wrong with the pot pie, it just didn't taste as good as I had hoped, so I didn't eat much of it. Our waitress noticed I didn't eat much of the pot pie and asked me if there was anything wrong. I told her that in my opinion, it didn't have much flavor and that I didn't care for it. She was apologetic and said I should of told her sooner and she would of brought something else for me. I said, it really wasn't a big deal, that I'm sure other people enjoy the chicken pot pie. Next thing I know, the manager Clark comes over and tells me he wants to take the pot pie off my bill. I told him that it wasn't necessary, that I did eat some of it and I should pay for it. He insisted to take the pot pie off my bill. Said he wanted his customers to be happy. He then asked if my friend and I wanted to share a dessert and showed us the options. We chose the S'mores brownie. We didn't want a full size, so he offered a smaller option. The dessert came and it was very large to be a small serving. And let me tell you, it was absolutely beyond delicious! My friend and I were so impressed with the generosity of Clark the manager and how he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. That is what I call great customer service and a manager that really cares about making sure his customers are happy when they leave.
