Cafe RX is a nice little spot in town with friendly employees, great atmosphere and a great food and drink selection. I like to go there after work to grab a matcha latte and study to relax. It's a new cafe in Cresskill NJ coming from NY using stumptown coffee I heard. I hoped it meets the local reputation. The cashier woman tried to use a paper cup for cortado probably not knowing what cortado is at all. She was apparently frustrated by the miscommunication. The barista's skill to pour milk is not good either making the milk form coarse and bubbly. It doesn't feel matching to the coffee bean. Also the milk wasn't fresh enough. Almond croissant I ordered tasted very soso. I think this is another local cafe striving to just make it look gorgeous. read more

The young girl that works at cafe rx had such an attitude. She did not say thank you or greet me with proper manner. She just left me hanging when I said hi.When she gave me the drink, she just looked away and left. It just seems like she doesn't want to work there. Came here a couple of times and had hope for the place since it's so close to home. I was wrong, not sure how a coffee and sandwich could be so hard to get. The coffee was good, but the cups are so cheap the hot coffee bent it immediately. I had a "bad as" sandwich? mistake. Cafe Rx is a place that tries to do everything (where else can you find Korean meds, Italian pasta, Taiwanese boba, Japanese obanyaki, and Stumptown coffee at one address?), yet it succeeds at only three; come to this place if you need 1) a parking space, 2) free wifi, and 3) a well-lit place to sit and work. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and save your money for cafes that are actually worth it. I can't say anything about the Rx aspect of it because I haven't bought meds, but I will definitely not be returning for the cafe. I actually WANTED to give this place a good review. (There just aren't enough Korean cafes in that area.) This is why one subpar experience after another, I waited for a redeeming moment. It never came. I have eaten here at least three times and refuse to waste a cent more at this establishment. The service reeks of incompetence. The food is unreasonably overpriced compared to its actual flavor and quality. Name anything on the menu and I will tell you who else in that area does it better (service-wise AND flavor-wise), for a price that actually reflects what you're putting in your mouth. Stumptown coffee? La Tabatiere in Closter. Boba? Gongcha in Paramus. Fancy brunch food? Patisserie Florentine in Englewood. I could go on and on. The gelato is downright AWFUL. Literally anyone could do it better. Steer clear. Don't be fooled by the modern, Instagram-able interior. Cafe Rx is a disappointment. Saw this place as I was driving by so I decided to stop and give it a try. I ordered a chai latte and they had it ready for me within a couple minutes. Tasted great and the price wasn't bad comparative to what I've seen around at other places. Nice vibe inside and there's also a patio outside with seating. I ordered hot coffee. It wasn't hot enough. It was warm. Seriously?! And they put ice cubes in their half and half. Ew.. I've never seen like this. This place is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. Cafe RX is very nice and pleasing to be in; it was very welcoming at first. The food wasn't all that bad either but from my experience, hearing news about cafe rx wasn't all that great. My close friend used to be a worker here a couple years ago and she would always complain about the mean management behind the scenes which might explain the unfriendly customer service I received when I visited. I also noted how dirty it was in the store when I picked up a 'cafe rx' mug to check it out. There was an unnecessary amount of dust on the items that was on sale! This place is going down the hill...... When they opened they care about their coffee nd desserts. The coffee was amazing also the pastries and ice cream. I went last week again and its like a different place... did they change management? The coffee was terrible, pastry was cold and the ice cream was not eatable!!! I've never ate such bad ice cream. Such a great atmosphere. Amazing place to spend some time and have quality beverages and food. My favorite is their Boba Tea.

The quality of the food has really gone down from when it first opened. I was in today and ordered a spaghetti marinara and cheese pizza. The noodles tasted old as they didn't have any bite to them, which is different from being over cooked, and the sauce tasted too tangy. The cheese pizza smelled like wet towel; I couldn't tell if it was the cheese or the board that the pizza was on. The pizza itself left much to be desired as it tasted like it was a store bought frozen pizza that was poorly reheated (perhaps it was) that had orange oil hastily drizzled atop. If you're looking for some place casual to meet with a friend for some coffee or bubble tea, this fits the bill. But if you're hungry and looking for some decent hot food, you're best bet is to look elsewhere. read more

The space is very nice but everything else seems below average. The coffee is so so with day-to-day inconsistency. The muffins are often cold at the core even after heating for 10-15 seconds. The food has too much MSG. My biggest negatives are bathroom cleanness (it smells bad even for a restroom all the time) and Wifi. Past few days the WiFi has been very unstable and today it just killed me when I asked again to reboot the wifi and one of the staffs gave me an attitude. I am not going there again. read more

If i could give this place half a star i would. I got a strawberry smoothie and it's probably the worst smoothie I've ever had. It was made of 50% Ice and 50% Milk and strawberry flavoring. While this cafe is DELICIOUS the bubble tea could use some work and the items are a bit expensive, however the monkey bread and gelato are both worth it. I personally recommend the chocolate gelato-it's creamy, rich, and they fill your cup to the brim making it well worth the price. read more
