Oh my! New to the area. They moved to Collins Ferry Road. Asked the waitstaff if this is bigger. Yes!!! The Harvest Cobb salad.... 12/10. Delicious!! Love the decor too.

Now at 3200 Collins Ferry Road, The Cupcakerie Café and Frosé serves more than just cupcakes. They offer brunch daily from 10 - 2 and it features breakfast items as well as soups, salads, and sandwiches. We had the Dagwood Club, the Mushroom Melt, and the Greek salad. The sandwiches were excellent and they were served with kettle chips and house-made pickle spears and pickled red onions. They also offer a dinner menu from 4 -7 Monday through Saturday. The restaurant is open and bright. The decor is tasteful and leans toward feminine. The staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable. While there be sure to check out all the interesting merchandise they offer for sale. I hope to see jars of those house-made pickles on their shelves someday.

I made a quick stop here while on a road trip for work based on a coworker's recommendation and I was thrilled that I did! The mini cupcakes were fantastic! I did a small sampler with 6 flavors and each was unique and delicious. My favorite was the chocolate peanut butter with a mini Reeses cup inside the cupcake. The icing is on the sweeter side and the cupcakes each have a unique decorative appearance. The girl working the counter was attentive and friendly as she helped me pick my flavors. I will be back!

The hubby had a meeting in Morgantown and found this place knowing I am a total cupcake junkie. What a nice surprise...he brought them home for me. He got an assortment to try. I have to say, yummy! The cake is moist and flavorful and the icing is sweet but not overly so. My favorite, lemon poppy. It is one if the best cupcakes ever! The cannoli is good but the icing is a tad on the side of too sweet. And their regular chocolate and vanillas are scrumptious. The peanut butter icing is also amazing, packed full of peanut butter goodness. Thanks hubby for the surprise treat!

One dozen cupcakes, with the extra ribbon and flowers for Mother's Day!

I give this place 5 stars for customer service! They were great. The cupcakes are also delicious - not necessarily the most mind blowing or amazing cupcakes ever, but tasty. However, I was able to order a dozen cupcakes online (which is awesome, since I don't live in Morgantown and was only going to be visiting for Mothers Day). When I came in to pick up, my order was ready and waiting. And since it was Mothers Day weekend, they added some ribbon and flowers for just $5 extra dollars. Perfect! And what's more? They had greeting cards available, which really made it a one-stop-shop. And because the woman working understood my predicament, she let me use some of their colorful sharpies to fill out the card right then and there. (I had not anticipated my mom being in the car at the very moment...) Thanks, Cupcakerie!!!!

However, we realized…read morethere was going to be some interesting developments when the server came by and he seemed a little nervous, but that's understandable. In any case we placed our orders, I ordered the breakfast platter special, which was fried chicken and biscuits with country sausage gravy my wife ordered the eggs Benedict my daughter for her birthday ordered the French toast with two eggs and my son ordered the chicken and waffles. Talking first about the chicken and waffles. I've come to see that many locations offer chicken and waffles. This being about average for what I would consider chicken and waffles as it was a small filet cut in a half upon a very thin flat waffle, which would've done better to be a Belgian waffle with a much fluffier plump chicken filet. My son did enjoy it but when he finished it the server came by and he says did you enjoy that? Was it good, it must've been good because you ate everything! Then let's discuss my wife's eggs Benedict, which she thoroughly loved. However, the ham looked like it was sliced deli ham for a sandwich instead of Canadian bacon or a little thicker slice of country ham. It's not my call, as my wife said she enjoyed it. My daughter enjoyed her stuffed French toast and egg. Everything was cooked to her liking and she said it had a good flavor and of all four dishes that certainly was the best of the four. as for the last dish, my Sriracha sausage gravy, fried chicken and biscuit with home fries, the jury is still out as the home fries came out a little overdone and cold. The sausage gravy looks like somebody spread it on with a paintbrush, and it wasn't very warm. The chicken was warm and did taste good and the biscuit was good, but it made no sense when the server said, it comes smothered in sausage gravy. Take a look at the picture, and it looks more like a couple tablespoons of gravy on each biscuit with the chicken. We did have a good time and the ambience of the place was very nice, especially seated along the windows looking at the snow outside and perhaps we'll give it another shot at a later date. Overall, nothing over the top but nothing to make us fear coming back either. It was just kind of middle of the road, but I am glad that the nicest dish and the best presentation went to my daughter for her 20th birthday. At least that was a saving grace as well as the lunch with the movie, listening to the various antics and chatter coming from the server.

It was well past 2 o'clock, and I try not to drink coffee after 11ish-o'clock, because it usually messes with my sleep. But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.

The menu lacked options I felt and they did not have a single side of potato besides sweet potato. We placed our order pretty quickly, but then that's when the long wait started. It look maybe an hour or more to finally get our food. It took so long that the table who sat after us got their food, finished it, paid, and left. Another table sat down and ordered drinks and food and decided to leave after waiting thirty minutes just for their drinks to come. Once the food arrived, it was low key cold. My waffles were very dense and the chicken was dry, tough, and flavorless. My dad was given the wrong side and asked for his waffle to be extra crispy which they weren't. My brother thought his biscuit was very hard to eat but enjoyed the flavor it had to offer. The best thing we got was the pretty fruit bowl which I have to note some of the fruit had dirt on them.

They disappeared quickly. The adults had adult beverages - one in particular (an apple cider mule) was quite delicious and unusual. Two of us ordered the rosemary chicken. Very healthy and tasty meal, but truly that meal could be split between people easily. You get two 6 oz breasts. The oven roasted potato medley was delicious. Another got the F&F steak. Steak Fries were awesome that came with it. We also got a side of rice, Mac n cheese and a spinach salad. All very tasty. We were too full for the desserts. But we did eye another customer receive the plate size cinnamon roll. It's looked yummy. Just couldn't do it this time. We will skip the appetizers next time to make room for dessert!

The fries that came with the sandwich were seasoned well and also really good. The Mac and cheese was creamy and had a nice amount of bacon.
