This place is hands down my favourite place for breakfast in Melbourne. Coffee is delicious, served at perfect temperature and they have bonsoy. We both ordered the big brekky $18.50 and everything was generous and cooked to perfection.. Perfect poached free-range eggs.. Mushrooms, pork sausage, potato rosti, 3 rashes of bacon, tomato relish and sourdough toast. We were both very happy and full after our selection but watching them bring out everyone else's plates was so tempting. Service was on point and you weren't squished into a seat or rushed with your meal despite the endless stream of people in and out. We were house hunting today and thought we'd try and found a local cafe and boy are we glad we stumbled upon Lolo & Wren! Will we be back?? Most definitely!!!

Lots of seating available both inside and outside.  Lots of free street parking (but 1P which is never sufficient when it comes to cafes).  I found the menu quite different as it had two types of burgers, a croque-monsieur, a lamb shoulder moroccan salad, chia pudding, some interesting pancakes, and a chickpea dish. None of these dishes had eggs in them. On the very left hand side, they had eggs on toast, the big breakfast, and smashed avo toast.  My friend and I decided to get the lamb shoulder moroccan salad which was shredded tender lamb (looked like pulled lamb, very fine and long strands), dotted with pomegranate seeds and submerged in sheep's yoghurt. It was nice but felt like it needed to be eaten with some bread, or pita bread. It seemed more of a side dish rather than breakfast/lunch or main dish so quite disappointing.  The roast chicken burger with 4 thin slices of chorizo, some jalapenos and some mayo was slightly larger than a slider and quite bland. I only liked the brioche bun but the filling was ok. My friend who was starving didn't eat all of her food.  The coffee was very weak and my friend did not like her white hot chocolate.  Service was ok. Split bills taken. They do ubereats for most of their menu items (brunch on ubereats - wow). Average food.

The salmon was good, but smelt a little fishy. We also got the return of the botak chan, which is pork belly congee. The congee was well made, and wasn't salty like Hong Kong style congee. It tasted clean and two chunks of pork belly were given. I thought the food tasted good, and It's in a good area if you want to walk and shop afterwards. But, it is a little pricey for the type of food we got. For the price, I'd recommend the congee over the toast. But, it is personal preference.

They also do a few pastries and desserts if you are more inclined that way. This place is as hipster as they come, with shared tables and all. So in saying that, this place is extremely popular. I have known people waiting for a good 30 minutes for a table. Honestly, I never wait for anything, so I wouldn't. The coffee here is good - not as good as Industry beans (but not much is). But it is still quite good. A lot more smoother then I preferred, but it wasn't that big of a problem. The staff here are also nice, but extremely busy, so sometimes you are going to have to wave them down, or give them 'that look'.

Sure, it does get a little crowded at times, but that probably has something to do with the fact that it is pretty good. The service was great, and they made a pretty decent pot of tea as well. Oh, and the breakfast, well, that certainly was something that I quite enjoyed as well. Yeah, this is definitely a place to check out.

The Californian superfood salad is my pick of the current lunch menu. All the salads are pretty delicious, but the heirloom tomato, grilled corn, goji berry, salted ricotta, wild rice and quinoa combination is pretty darn special. They also do a cracking smashed avocado, another measure of a good Melbourne brunch. Staff are cool, pretty much anything goes and coffee is always excellent. And check the specials board!

Expectations where set high , with a half hour wait given to us at the door (which in reality we had a table in like 10mins) and then told 45mins for food to come which came 20mins of us being at our table! (Such a Melbourne thing to do, create demand) I started with a coffee, and this was a great tasting coffee. we then ordered the waffles as my sweet tooth took over me! But wow what a decision I made! This waffle with peanut brittle and peanut sort of moose was such a delight! The interior of this place was spectacular, we sat at the back of the cafe in the outdoor section, and on a nice summer day this was beautiful! A must try for the cafe seekers, as food was sensational and coffee was up there! Glad to have visited and been recommended such a place and will defiantly return :)

MOB "My Other Brother Cafe"…read more First time here and I wasn't let down. I'm giving 5 stars for a couple of reasons. The first being the wait staff was fast, sweet, and in gauging. It's not a large place but they had no problem seating 5 on the spot. Second reason was the food presentation. Great plating on simple dishes always makes me smile. Makes me think the cooks are happy and that makes me happy. If you can't make a sandwich look good on a plate then you shouldn't be in the kitchen. The last reason was the food it self. Simple dishes with great flavour. I loved the use of beet powder on the eggs benny, it had great colour and flavour. I was stoked that my burger came on a milk bun, I'm so over brioche and pretzel buns. The sauce on my burger was the best thousand island I've ever had. Sweet and tangy, salty and bitey! Added depth and dimension to a classic burger. Maybe it was the combo of the bbq glaze and the thousand island. Not sure what they did to it but it really made my burger taste more complex. I think maybe they just cared. The sign of a good chef is the quality of their sauces. Maybe Escoffier said that, but don't quote me. Even if the sauces where not made in house my mouth thanks you. I can only speak for the food that I ate, but the rest of the food at my table looked amazing. I will be back to try more dishes. This will definitely be my swap meet cafe stop when I shop at the Camberwell Market. 5 seats 5 friends 5 bloody Mary's 5 dishes 5 stars Thank you MOB cafe !

Coffee was good .. food looked good, I ordered the Eggs Benedict with pulled pork - which arrived with lots of colour. I liked the spice from the tobasco hollandaise however it was a bit too buttery. Likewise the sourdough had a good flavour and crunchy pumpkin seeds but I think it would've been tastier if it was a denser bread. Perhaps this Canteen is just a bit too rustic for me. All the classic are here: croissants, danishes and cake. The almond croissant is one of my favourites, some of my friends swear by the rose croissant though personally I want my flowers to look at and not taste. The coffee is pretty decent too. While Rustica has steep competition with a few of my favourite cafes in the block nearby, their coffee is fine if you are also having cake or some side dish. There is a full lunch and brunch menu that is pretty bread heavy (as you would expect from Rustica). The location is nice a tucked away down a side street full of cool galleries, architecture firms and other notable eating places. If you come here for take away the counter has very quick service. Otherwise table service is also available and the staff are pretty relaxed about you sitting there using their wifi connection while sipping at your coffee. I had the lamb wrap with pulled succulent lamb, refreshing pieces of cucumber and tomato, delicious undertones of the sauce and complementary sourness and crumbly texture from the feta. The wrap itself was a thin white wrap. I devoured mine too and the hot crinkly cut chips were a bonus Our coffees were robust yet creamy. Great value for money. Good friendly service.
