My Other Brother is absolutely one of my favourite places to go in Camberwell. Super friendly and helpful staff - a waitress named Sophie, in particular, was especially helpful - and the food is awesome! Quick service, great food, good coffee - I mean, My Other Brother should probably be re-dubbed "My Favourite Brother"! But yeah! A varied menu that caters to Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free customers, it's easy to swap regular yoghurt for Coconut Yoghurt, and the staff take allergies into consideration!! Plus, they're licensed, and do a damn good Espresso Martini for when your Sunday Afternoon feels a little too sleepy ;) Seriously, if you haven't been here before, give it a go!

Whilst they make good coffee, its a little pricey at $5.50 a large which really is a medium at some places. Place is clean good bathrooms friendly cashier but I recall from a previous visit a slow lone for placing an order they need to review the ordering process as losing a lot of custom and causing frustration amongst customers waiting in line! Food looks good but as I had to wait so long in line had no time to order food.

I've been here a few times and I must admit I really like this place. The service is always good and the staff are always very friendly and chatty. And most importantly the food and coffee is good. The only minus point is that it is a little on the expensive side. Last time I was here I ordered the Mc'Brother which is cheesy creamy scrambled eggs served with ham on a muffin. I also added a side of chorizo which for my part was a wonder strike and led to much envy from my co diners. They offer a good range of breakfast and lunch options here. Breakfast choices are the usual suspects (full English, eggs on toast, muesli, fruit and pancakes etc) with the cafes own twist. I must admit I haven't tried lunch here, but from memory the menu includes a good selection of burgers. Once I try lunch here I'll be sure to update this review. All up though a top cafe and one of the best in this area. A solid 4 star rating.

Great place for a bite! Try the wagyu beef burger with shoestring fries, mouth watering! I've also stopped in for their muffins and coffee, both were delish and the service isn't too shabby either. Repeat customer.

Every dish is a couple of dollars too much - but it's worth it! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff who have always been welcoming, chatty and attentive. They have all the usual breakfast suspects but usually add their own twist - and for the better! Coffee is good and is fast becoming a staple of my weekend.

Usually pretty busy on a weekend, when we finally got around to trying M.O.B. for breakkie it was on a lazy weekday and for once there was a few empty tables and we could cruise right in. Food was very good - not quite as outstanding as some other local breakfast cafes (and a little pricier at true Camberwellian prices) - but the menu is interesting enough with a few cool twists on old favourites. Having said that, there was a mojito coffee thing on the menu that a friend tried and was deeply disappointed with, so maybe steer clear of that unless you're feeling very adventurous. Otherwise everyone was happy with their meals and you get the sense that there are lots of regulars there which gives you a good idea as to their consistency. Probably wont become a go-to for us, but will pop back at some stage I'm sure.

Can a cafe get more hipster?

The food choices are great, the coffee good, the decor typically hipster cool retro, I just wish there was more natural light that got into the place.

Yummy corn Fritter! Sauce on top was delicious and great amount. You have an option with eggs which I did not have.

Very nice meal but service a bit slow because it's so busy. Friendly service, trendy little cafe. The 'it place' in Camberwell.

I was wondering why such a popular spot would be so isolated? But all is well worth the effort to get here. The venue is brimming with natural lighting, classic charm and warmth. For my breakfast, I ordered the Pixelated avocado (on a sourdough toast) because it just looked so darn intriguing. I didn't expect anything else to be honest, and turned out this was GOOD!! Every single element in this dish has complex flavors that compliments each other. The chili dried air kale, diced pixelated avocado and the soft shell crab was especially stunning. The dish certainly performs to its Instagram ability. For my drink, I ordered their matcha latte; it was strong tasting yet smooth. I could drink this all day! The Light Years is certainly not disappointing in any way, from the beautiful venue to the outstanding food, supported with service and ambiance for days. Easily, my favorite brunch spot in town at the moment and much to recommend you :).

Recently opened at the bottom of a new apartment block just along from the Camberwell tram depot, it should not be confused with Lights in the Attic cafe which is a bit further down Camberwell Road. The fit out is the now common scandi/minimalist affair with a smattering of potted greenery. Coffee is from Dukes, but the star of the show here is the food. All the dishes I saw coming out looked great and were good sized portions. I had the bircher and it was a generous serve, looked pretty and tasted even better. Overall a good value and tasty option for brunch/lunch in the leafy inner east.

I'm a little surprised to see people queuing at Axil when this paradise awaits upstairs next door, don't get me wrong I love Axil, but this place is pretty stunning. But please don't tell them, it's rare to be able to get a seat outside on a gorgeous sunny deck under an umbrella surrounded by trees and a veggie garden in Melbourne without a queue. The food has never disappointed. From the porridge and oats to the cooked breakfasts, I always enjoy my meal. Good specials on offer too, on the weekend I had corn and ricotta fritters with heirloom tomato salad and avocado cream, it was the goods and I'd love to see it on the menu. Their coffee offering is pretty solid, from the standard milky affair to the fancy filter stuff I don't understand but order to impress our interstate guests with my Melbourneness. Their green smoothies are tasty too. The staff are great with a sense of humour that I really enjoy, the owners in particular are cool (banter with them is a highlight for me), they're friendly and it's a family affair and they welcome families alike. But don't worry this place isn't overrun with yummy mummies, it's not really overrun with any 'type' it's just full of people who enjoy good food in breezy, relaxing surrounding. They also do yoga on the deck on Saturday mornings.

Choosing a snack was difficult as everything looked delicious. The custard donut did not disappoint. I'll be back to try something from the breakfast menu or for yoga on the deck Saturdays!

Having had the pulled lamb on humus and lentils, their menu describing it much better than myself, it was delightful. The citrus zest dressing complements the slow cooked lamb and lentils which are too full of flavour. The brownie is very good. Not at all sweet and surprisingly much more creamy that what you would expect from a traditional brownie sadly it is quite small and seeing as brownies are my only vice there is always space for more.
