I have to admit, the only reason I went into Cafe Q was for some ice cream. Reportedly, it has the best.
Equis is a semi-famous ice cream in Scotland, and with a home-made look and taste about it. I couldn't resist.
Excellent pricing of it meant that I got a double scoop for £2.xx. I thought that was pretty nice, and even better once I tasted the ice cream.
It didn't have that mass-manufactured taste about it; it tasted straight from the dairy farm. Creamy and delicious.
The staff in Cafe Q were chatty and friendly; and had a lot of patience for me, who always has trouble deciding on a flavour. Guess what? I only had to narrow it down to two flavours. Double scoop can be one of each or 'haff n haff'.
I liked the friendly atmosphere of the place, and they gave us little plastic shovels to eat our ice cream with.
