Entrecote Grillee, Sauce Au Poivre Vert Et Cognac, Frites

The food is amazing, staff is super warm and friendly. They have high chairs for kids. The onion soup was amazing, the escargot and entrecote were also amazing.

Cafe Panisse is the same Cafe Pastis that has occupied this space in South Miami for as long as I can remember. Needless to say that this restaurant has some amazing food that has kept them here for so long. Service is always friendly and attentive. You feel welcomed every time. Usually they have daily specials that are super good but the menu has some great dishes ... like the Boulliabese, lamb shank with lentils, The trout, and of course... onion Soup and escargots. The wine list is unpretentious and has some great options for everyone. If you haven't been here... do come, you won't regret it.

A little bit of France in South Miami! Place is always busy and I can see why. Perfect lunch spot. Can't believe I've never been. Lots to choose from - the French onion soup and mussels were extremely tasty.

Cozy little French restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Both the inside and outside are very small spaces so it gets very loud in the restaurant. The kitchen is tiny and located right behind the counter. My friends enjoyed watching the cooking in the tiny kitchen. I had the Bouillabaisse which had wonderful flavor but the seafood was overcooked. One of my friends had the salmon and said she enjoyed it. My other friend had the grouper in leek sauce and she thought it was amazing. Service is very good.

The food here was great! The steak sandwich was juicy and delicious. The service is a great and the chefs seem to know what they're doing. The ambiance is relaxed but this place gets a bit crowded

Cafe Pastis is a small quaint restaurant located in the sunset area. It is tucked away in a small unassuming old strip mall. We went here for a girl's night out \ birthday celebration. We ordered the French onion soup, veggie soup, muscles and grilled grouper dinner. The vegetable soup was AMAZING. It didn't have any dairy and was very flavorful. The grilled grouper was fresh - it came with vegetables and roasted potatoes. The wait staff was very nice and very attentive. We ordered two bottles of wine and they allowed us to taste the wine before purchasing the bottle. It was very reasonably priced. We're glad we came - everyone had a great time and it's so refreshing to discover new spots like this to enjoy with friends. Good food, good drinks, great company.

Superb food in a low key restaurant, wonderful prices and service. A true experience... no frills just authentic ambience.

I've lived in Miami my whole life and this being the first time I visited Cafe Panesse by Cafe Pastis is a huge oversight on my part. Seeing as this is a small location and every time we've ever passed it is quite busy, we called a few days ahead and made a reservation for date night. We chose to sit back by the kitchen because we truly enjoy being in the heart of the action at any restaurant and observing how they operate. There is nothing like a long-standing local restaurant, with its regulars following through the door and its owners on the frontlines serving dishes and welcoming you into their home. We started with escargot. They were fresh out of the oven, steaming, extremely tender, and swimming in the tastiest garlic and parsley butter. We followed this up with the mussels. As a fan of mussels, I can tell you that these are not only the best ones I've had at a French restaurant, but some of the best I've ever had. The white wine and shallot sauce the mussels came in was so good we had to soak it up with the complimentary fresh bread. As an entree, we decided to split the special of the night; a medium-rare entrecôte with potatoes au gratin and grilled zucchini. Our server had the entree split and plated for us ahead of time which was such a thoughtful gesture. To finish it off, we got the local favorite tarte tatin as a dessert with a perfectly prepared espresso. For all that we ate and enjoyed, it was an unbelievably affordable meal, especially considering the price associated with dining in Miami these days. I did some digging after our meal to learn that this place has been around for more than twenty-five years, and that the owner Philippe Jacquet and Chef Thierry Collongette have been working alongside each other for over twenty years at this restaurant. Both were incredibly present both front-of-house and back-of-house during this mind-altering French meal. The entire staff as a whole was incredibly present, attentive, and made us feel at home. It's such a beautiful thing to see these gems of our local community withstand the transplant restaurants from other cities that seem to be shoehorning themselves in and taking over the landscape. This is authentic cuisine that truly makes you feel like you're sitting at the dining table of an immigrant grandparent who's only wish is to see you enjoy their food. This is what we should be applauding, continuously recognizing and supporting. Perhaps it doesn't have the TikTok viral pomp and circumstance of a restaurant that transplanted itself from another big city (and perhaps led to Cafe Panesse by Cafe Pastis having to change their name to not 'confuse' the ton...) but the food and the hometown energy is much more vibrant and worth your patronage.

Tucked away in an unassuming strip off Sunset - this gem transplants you to the south of France. Quite popular spot amongst locals so reservations are not required but recommended as the space is on the smaller side. All the food here is phenomenal. The steak frites is tender and fries are crisped to perfection. The signature bouillabaisse is well balanced and comes with plenty of seafood chunks. The duck confit is tender and has a lovely touch of sweetness. If you opt to come through for lunch - their sandwiches are delightful and quite affordable too. Croque monsieur and steak sandwich are good recommended. There are also rotating daily specials. Be sure to ask if anything is sold out before you get your heart and stomach set on a dish - they do run out! Save room for dessert because it's worth it - whether you opt for the fruit tart or the crème brûlée, the desserts are the perfect finale to a fantastic meal. Service is also crazy attentive and extremely kind. Cafe Pastis does it all and does it all very very well.

1/2 vegetable sandwich and 1/2 soup of the day (carrot soup)

Excellent food, great ambience and solid service. I visited with family and decided to order the 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 soup of the day (carrot soup). Both were phenomenal choices. The indoor space is small, but cozy. I loved the visit and will definitely be returning soon. If you have allergies or specific preferences (i.e. almond milk w your capuchino), it's likely they won't be able to substitute -- something to keep in mind if you plan on visiting. After our meal, we ordered the raspberry tart which was amazing. It was sweet without being too heavy. Highly recommend!

The portion sizes are generous as they let you know its family size. They have fresh tomatoes and a lemon with a knife at every table. Cut some tomatoes add some salt pepper a little olive oil w some balsamic and you have yourself a fantastic delight for the table. The escargot was by far sone of the best with the Parmesan they used. Fresh WARM bread is served through out your meal. The main courses were generously sized. The Star of the meal is by far the vanilla cheesecake. It's very light contrary to what you'd expect when you think cheesecake. It's so smooth on the palate w an amazing burst of vanilla. It's a MUST have when you eat here!

There was no clear communication at any point that these items would be charged. Based on how it was presented, it felt like these were gestures from the bar. However, when the bill was presented, those items were included, which created a very uncomfortable and confusing situation. The issue here is not about the amount, but about the lack of transparency. If items are being sent to a table, it should be made explicitly clear whether they are complimentary or will be included on the bill. Without that clarity, it feels misleading. At a restaurant of this caliber, clear communication should be a given, and unfortunately that was not the case here.

I love that every single day there is a different lunch special and it comes with A LOT of food for just $18. The French onion soup is delicious and has an Argentinian twist with a change of cheese. The breaded steak milanesa and breaded chicken are so thinly you could barely start the coat. The seabass was delicious and the lemon sauce is different than anything I have had. This place has had a change of ownership over the years, but I hope and pray that they do well because it is so good!

We started with their BOURGUIGNON EMPANADA which was incredible meaty and when you pour the mushroom dip, you dip and melt. Then like a true French bistro we had to have the escargot which were definitely some meaty snails, then of course how do you not get the ultimate melty provoleta cheese?! A foodies dream. We then moved to their BIFE DE CHORIZO, this gorgeous piece of tender meat, barely needed a knife. Then we went to such a comforting dish like the vacío al Malbec, nothing warmed my soul more than this beautiful roast served with some delicious veggies and the most perfect fries. But the dish I've never had and now will be forever obsessed with is the carne al disco, cooked using a disused plow disk in a rural area of Argentina, the dish is veggie packed and as your dive in, you fall in love with the Smokey and tradition of it all. Now Corina, we have to shout her out because she came out strong with the desserts, we had their delicious ALMOND CAKE WITH SCOOP OF VANILLA ICE CREAM, the CREPE CARAMEL FLAMBE WITH RUM and in honor of their 4 year anniversary their chocotorta which is the Argentinian version of tiramisu. With Miami Spice here, you need to take advantage of their 3 different offerings, they have a lunch, dinner and a signature meal that you cannot miss. Their miami spice is both at an incredible price point and also guaranteed to leave you with a "barriga llena corazón contento".

Inside, the restaurant fully transports you out of the 305 with danity, quirky and cute decor, and cozy lighting. Only tables available. seating inside and out by parking lot. THE FOOD: For starters, we had the cheese, bread and honey dish - 4/5 warm, crunchy, gooey goodness. I also had the French onion soup 5/5, probably the best ive ever had! incredible flavor profile perfectly balanced and salted. For entrees, my husband went with a oxtail with mash dish they had on special that day 1000/5, too bad eating with your hands and licking your plate is frowned upon lol - it deserved that! I had the Pan seared branzino 2/5 - now hear me out - it was five out of five in texture, soft and buttery, and presentation BUT it was cook with SO MUCH BUTTER, that the roof of my mouth & tongue were coated in it and I couldnt tastes anything else! It was so much butter that I felt my lips, tongue and throat irritated. Additionally, im not sure why they didn't pair this dish with a mash or a roasted potatoes, instead of only cooked down spinach. THE SERVICE: Reservations are strongly encouraged - so I made mine with Resy. Through Resy, I confirmed my reservation and had it all in text & email. Upon arrival, their system didnt pull it up. However, the manager (?) was kind, gentle and gracious, sat us at a table. Our waiter was fantastic! So charismatic, and was well versed on all the dishes and how they were made. I believe she said she's been with the team a few years now. From what I understand, a sister restaurant was just opened in Miami Beach, so I hope to be able to give that one a try aswell - maybe for my birthday in two weeks?
