But here's the kicker, it's Cajun/Creole style cuisine, so they have all of the goods. Red beans, Po-Boys, etc. But you can also get chicken tenders, fried catfish, etc. Man, I loved ALL of it! I didn't live in Starkvegas, so it could be a bit of a hike and when Amber was around, we didn't really eat a lot of food like this either. And the decor is pure small town diner where you get the impression the regulars don't even need to order because the staff know exactly what they want and how they like their eggs cooked. My breakfast was all good, but the grits were the standout. Some of the best I've had and the melted butter on top was just how I like them. Servers were so kind and patient with our tables it was quite impressive. All plates came out at the same time which was quite impressive. Every one said their dishes were tasty, and several had enough left over to ask for takeout boxes, which I'm sure they will make another meal of. I was surprised when I got the bill and ask the server if she had missed something. I was expecting a much larger bill. Service was far and above, server told me tip had already been added. I doubled the tip and they shared a of the delicious birthday cake with us. I'll be going back to the Grill.

We tried several times to make a reservation online, even days before, and finally called to reserve a spot over the phone, but we were told they do not make reservations on game day weekends. With that in mind, we anticipated a wait but expected the restaurant to be prepared accordingly. That assumption was incorrect. When we arrived, there were several tables on the patio and throughout the building spread with dirty dishes and in need of cleaning - they were in dire need of a busboy. The hostess was very kind and working extremely hard to get people seated, she cleared a table for us near the front bar area and we were seated within probably 10 minutes of arrival which was not bad. From there however, we sat for at least 15-20 more minutes at our table and were never greeted by any server or even offered water. We eventually decided to leave as it was clear that we wouldn't be receiving any service anytime soon. I do not fault the wait staff in this, they were obviously very overwhelmed and understaffed, but it is disappointing that management did not better prepare for what should have been expected to be a busy weekend. Allowing reservations during a highly anticipated weekend only makes sense, even if only a limited number of reservations so that walk-ins can still be accepted. We were really looking forward to trying this spot out and were disappointed by our experience.
