We ate our dessert here and we drank a wonderful drink made with Copeland gin called Gimlet. Nice pub. I can't speak on the menu because we only had the Guinness chocolate cake. The service was great. We climbed a lot of stairs even to go to the restroom. So be aware of that. I would come back the next time I'm in Belfast.

Hence the name, it used to be an actual jail. According to the website, its dog friendly. I didn't see any dogs there, but it's nice to know that it's an option. Great atmosphere to it. I appreciated the lovely, fresh flowers on our table. The Jailhouse has a rooftop/ upstairs area too. It was a vibe of laughs and hen parties galore! There were at least two hen parties being celebrated here on this Friday night in June. The bathrooms seemed like a trek to get to. They are not on the main floor with the bar area, so I gave up. I ordered something called the Pimm's (UK gin based liqueur) Spritz. It was a bit strong for my taste, so my sister in law finished it for me. The music selection in the background was great, albeit a little loud, but its a good place for locals and tourists alike.

The only disappointment that I had was with myself and that I missed the first two days of breakfast on my trip. This is the restaurant that serves the breakfast if it is included in your reservation. Definitely worth it!

Pan-seared tomatoes were delicious. Grapefruit juice does not have much flavor. OJ was good. Coffee was a bit of a challenge to drink, coming from Seattle, WA. Environment: The restaurant has an almost wrapped-around glass wall which permits lots of sun light to permeate the space. This is a great thing when the weather is cooler and cloudy. But, in the sumer, when the sun is pouring in, it becomes a problem. The room temperature felt like it was above 80 degrees F, it was muggy and very uncomfortable. I asked for the temperature to be lowered, the waitress said engineering did answer their call. Well, then, she should escalate it to the manager. I fail to see why paying Hilton customers should be made to tolerate this kind of discomfort as a hotel patron. In the longer term, the restaurant should consider putting up blinds to filter out too much scorching sun from entering during the summer months if it wants to save on air-conditioning costs. I had to cut short my breakfast because I felt like I was about to pass out due to heat exhaustion. It was completely intolerable: it felt like eating in the outdoors in Houston, Texas during the summer. Inexcusable considering this supposedly a decent hotel.

There was a 10/15 minute wait for a table but that was grand after all its sunday morning brunch time. I ordered the best of the market breakfast (see pic) and asked for my tea to be served at the same time. Food came out quickly but I didnt get asked if I wanted any condiments, had to ask myself. I was about half way through breakfast as well before I had to remind them id also ordered a tea. This came without milk so had to ask for that too. So the food itself was good, ive had better, ive had worse. I didnt like the very crispy slice of fried soda, personally I prefer a nice soft soda farl to mop up sauces and egg. Potato bread was ok and the rest nice but not mind blowing. Overall its not bad. Lovely setting, friendly, if not forgetful staff. Id come back but ive had better breakfasts. Maybe try a lunch or a dinner next time.

I visited yesterday (Saturday 14.05.2016) with my sister and we had an extremely enjoyable leisurely lunch sitting on said balcony, watching bustling St George's Market, soaking up atmosphere and listening to wonderful live music. Service was good and there were a few Vegetarian options on the menu. It's a pity these Vegetarian dishes aren't more clearly marked with a (V) plus a few more Vegetarian dishes would be great, but at least they are there. Caroline S ordered a Veggie Breakfast (£6.75) which was the most impressive looking Vegetarian Fry I've ever seen, plus she assured me it tasted fantastic. I opted for a pasta dish with butternut squash, walnuts, onion and rosemary (£6.95). Delicious food in generous portions at reasonable prices. We managed to work our way through glasses of Pinot Grigio, Rose and Prosecco. St George's Market Bar and Grill also do the most amazing pure apple juice and Prosecco cocktail which we thought the best Prosecco based cocktail we have ever tried. Most of the restaurant ingredients are fresh and local, coming from the market itself. We arrived at just before 1pm and stayed until after 3pm as we had such a wonderful time there. Even inside this restaurant is beautiful due to natural light coming through a skylight rooftop, however the best tables are definitely on the balcony. I'm already plotting my return...
