Business hours are until 7pm and while we are driving from Rancho Cucamonga we call our order in on the way only to be told they are closing at 6:15-6:30 and are not taking anymore orders because they need to clean the kitchen seeing they close at 7!!! This is NOT how you run a business! If you CLOSE at 7pm then you serve up until that time and CLEAN THE KITCHEN AFTER YOU CLOSE!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! read more

This may look like Greek food.. at least their Gyros and so-called Feta fries. The meat, it's not freshly made. It's store bought. The tomatoes should be cut in 4 pieces, chunks, not diced. The tzatziki sauce should be fresh and smooth/creamy not like a paste and heavy. The feta fries? Should have a mixture of garlic (pressed at that), oregano, and extra virgin olive oil. No need to add tomatoes to those fries either. Keeping 2 stars for cost. PS. Is it just me or does California just hate salt and oil in general? 5th "ethnic" restaurant to fail our expectations so far. SE Michigan so far blows away S. California's food. read more

Wonderfully great-tasting and healthy food options! We had the chicken kabobs (awesome portions with the sides and pita) and the grilled chicken wrap with the side rocca salad. The food, while you may pay a bit more than other similar places, tastes absolutely wonderful and is a lot healthier than you would get otherwise. I loved the grilled chicken wrap which comes on a nice soft pita bread, and the tzatiki is soooo delicious! Highly recommend. Definitely coming back. read more

As much as I love Mediterranean food why haven't I been here before! First time and everything was just delicious... and did I mention service was a A+! I pride on service cause it's important and welcoming. We had the grilled chicken wrap and 2 side and the Chicken Souviaki also with 2 side. Portions are a decent size. We each got 2 side of fries (to much) but at least we know now for next time. Had salad and veggies also for our sides and just bomb. I've been a frequent customer at this place for over 3 years now and it has always been delicious and on point! It's our most favorite Falafel place in the area, and trust me, we have tried every single one within a 15 mile radius! Everything we get here is 5 stars: Falafel plate with Grilled veggies and Rice. -The veggies are grilled perfectly, taste fresh, not frozen and they give you a decent amount. Love the seasoning flavor. -The Rice has an amazing flavor, has a buttery/garlic flavor to it, and nicely separated. -Their Pita bread is soft, tastes fresh and their hummus is delicious as well! The Vegetarian Lentil soup is delicious and very flavorful. Perfect on a cold day. Falafel wrap is loaded with ingredients which makes the whole flavor of the wrap amazing. Love how they never skimp out on any of the ingredients like other places. Service is always courteous and friendly and we love eating there. I had a chicken Kabob plate, the chicken was good had some Fries with it they were fresh too, I didn't like their Garlic sauce, it seem to plain, I had better. My lady had basil pesto pasta, it was dry and no flavor, to bland. The service of this place needs better improvement. This place has the worst customer service. They always get your order wrong and take forever to complete your order. I've tried to give this place another chance time after time because the food is good but today was my last straw. Ordered food to pick up and was not ready and we waited 45 minutes and of course when we checked the orders almost everything was wrong or stuff was missing . When I left I said thank you and crickets from these people. I was like your lucky your food is good cause your service sucks as I left the empty restaurant. Diamond in the rough! This quaint little spot sits in the middle of a mediocre looking strip mall but the food was pretty tasty! The chicken panini was incredible and the Mediterranean fries were a little softer than I like because of the lemon but they had good flavor. I'm giving Cafe Moderna 3 stars. I ordered the 2 skewer chicken kabob plate with grilled veggies and baba ghanoush for pick up through Yelp using Chownow. The status bar estimated it would be ready in 30-40 mins. Kind of a long wait but I had already paid and I figured it's cooked to order, so no biggie. I kept checking the status as it got closer to the 30 minute mark and it said it wasn't ready. Now, I live about 15 minutes away, so I figured I'd head on out and it'd be ready. I got there past the 40 minute mark and it said it still wasn't ready. I gave it another five minutes and then finally decided to go in. Sadly, it had been sitting there for who knows how long. Two hours later and the app still says my order isn't ready. So I drive the 15 minutes back home and finally settle in to eat my meal. I take the foam container out and open it up and was so disappointed. The meal looked so sad. It had literally a couple of slices of zucchini, yellow squash, and bell peppers along with the 2 skewers of chicken. The food looked pitiful in this huge foam container. I guess I had imagined a little bit more veggies and when I saw what I got, it was a let down. I should've taken a picture of it but I was irked and just wanted to eat already. The food itself was good but I could tell it sat around a bit. The chicken was cold and a little dry but it was well seasoned. I will say that I got a generous serving of the baba ghanoush and it was probably my favorite part of the meal. So would I recommend? Yes, but be sure you don't rely on the food ordering app to tell you when it's ready. I don't know who to blame for that so I just wont. I don't recommend getting the grilled veggies. I may give this place another try but with so many choices around, just not sure. read more

So good! The falafel itself needed a little salt, but when you take a bite of the wrap put together it tastes great! The lentil soup was different than other lentil soups i've had. It didn't have whole lentils but it had a tomato broth than was really good; I enjoyed it! Good service too! I'll be coming back for sure. read more

Was looking for a place for lunch, and saw this highly rated restaurant nearby, so I decided to try it out. I had the Chicken Kabob, with a side of Rice Pilaf and Hummus, served with Pita Bread and Tzatziki sauce. The chicken was seasoned very well, moist inside.. And with the tzatziki sauce it tastes delicious. A generous portion of the rice pilaf, very soft, and the hummus has an earthy texture. Very healthy. The Chicken Kabob plate with 2 sides is $12, and $14 if you want a second kabob. They also have the steak kabob, and you can get a combination of the two for an extra few bucks. I thought the pricing for the 1 kabob plate is a little bit high, and wasn't going to pay even more for a second one. I'll have to come back to try something else from the menu. read more

When I opened the box at home, I was sorely disappointed when I saw that the chicken kabobs were VERY BURNT. I still bit into it to see if it was still good and if it just tasted a little "smokey", but nope - it was very charred. It tasted like I was eating ashes! I had to use a knife to try and take out the burnt parts! The only saving grace was at least the Mediterranean fries and the rice were good. Horrible experience. The confusion started with me over the phone. My fault. Not aware rice wasn't an automatic side dish on a kabob plate so I ordered Mediterranean salad and babaganoush but once I was aware rice wasn't already included I changed the order to rice and babaganoush and it was confirmed by the girl which meant it was cleared up over the phone before heading over. Pick up my food. Get home. Guess what. No rice. So I call to get it corrected and even with the girl admitting she didn't correct the order on her end they only wanted to make up for one of the two rices. So they admitted to being wrong but only wanted to correct half of their mistake. I was expected to take a 10 min drive back for only one of the two rices that messed up on and obviously in that time my food would get cold. Not worth the trip back not worth ever returning. $3.85 rice and yet it was a $55 order. That's how much they value their customers. (Shoulder shrug) Also. Order the lamb gyro plate and got slices of lamb in a box with pieces of pita on side. It should have just said lamb plate. They need to drop the gyro. read more

Ive been coming here for over two years, at least twice a week since I work nearby. I should have hundreds of check-ins, but just never bothered until recently. Anyway, kabob plates and wraps are amazing, fresh, good sides, always satisfying. However stay away from the Phil cheesesteak since it's not steak at all, but cut up hamburger with no peppers or onions. Frankly, they shouldn't call it a Philly at all, just terrible attempt. Stay with salads, kabobs, wraps and falafel and you'll be happy! Bonus is the friendly staff. Oh, keep asking for espresso since the machine has been broken for years, maybe the demand will get it fixed! Never knew how much I love Greek food! Thanks to another place being closed we decided to try this place out! Pictures from yelp really helped us decided what we were going to try! We got 2 chicken kabobs with hummus and salad and was very pleased! The staff there was very nice and the wait wasn't bad either. My sweet tooth got the best of me and I decided to also try the tiramisu to end my lunch. The hummus you could tell was made fresh and the right way! Although the oil in the middle and beans looked overwhelming, it was PERFECT! I never had hummus like this before and was very please with it. The chicken kabobs were on point! Very tender and juicy with nice char markings showing it was from a grill was pleasing to my taste buds. The salad was on another level.
