Only someone passionate about coffee and cafe's would travel 40 minutes from there home just to try out a recommendation - and that is exactly what we just did to get to Kaos!
It was worth it, driving through the countryside wondering where on earth we were heading and then amongst a bunch of shops and another cafe right across the street, sits Kaos.
The walls are lined with old vinyl covers, everything from Dusty Springfield to David Bowie; great to ohhh! (affectionally) over, and ahhhh! (not so affectionally) over. Out the back is an array of old couches that host movie nights, if you look up you will see an array of brightly coloured circles enticing one to ponder if they have time warped into a 60's electric-kool-aid-acid-trip. Wonderful eclectic array of furnishings too.
My classic bene eggs with salmon was ample in size and tasted delicious, hubby's poached egg on top of mince was pretty praise worthy too. Coffee was good, but would have been that little bit better if slightly stronger.
Lots of space, despite the popularity; you can sit inside, outside, or even at an old ironing board table bench if you do so wish. This place was put together by someone who obviously love's what they do, it is full of personality and creativity, and is a great way to attract locals and tourists alike - well done! read more
