Arrived last night for a romantic meal, and was asked to sit at the bar regardless of the near empty restaurant (about 7 tables full, rest empty). We were quite happy to wait, and had a drink. 15 minutes later we finally got to a table. We sat and looked at the menu, the waitress asked if we wanted the drink menu removed from the table (as it was in the way) but didn't ask if we wanted drinks, an entree or to hear the specials. We then watched as the 3 waitresses that were working cleared tables, made drinks and asked both tables next to us if they wanted drinks, without asking us (we had closed our menus, I had finished my drink and we were looking at the waitress) if we wanted a drink or entree or to even order. After 15 min of this we decided to leave as we needed to be up early. Restaurant was even quieter by then with only about 5 tables full, one table arriving as we stood up. The waitress rushed over as we stood up to leave, and we went to tell the manager what had happened. She talked over the top of us the entire time, saying "thank you sir" and "good night" every time my partner tried to explain that the tables were being cleared while we sat waiting. She didn't offer our drinks for free, and was just rude. She said "that's why I always tell people to book, those people booked and they take precedence", trying to tell us that the people next to us who had booked were getting their drink order taken cause of that, and that's why our food order didn't get taken. Shit service, shit manager, won't be going back and will be sharing this throughout Facebook, yelp and zomato.
Also like to point out that the woman who was paying before us had asked for an item to be left off the plate, then while eating had found it on the plate. The manager was rude to her also, telling her she should have sent it back, or told the waitress. She eventually took that off the ladies bill and was just talking over her and saying it had been taken off the bill over and over again.
