Really yummy cafe that rivals Urban Soul. These are both bring gourmet fare to South Auckland and great places to go if you want to avoid the glut of fast food in Manukau. Try the selection of salads on offer or the homemade burger! Staff for more friendly that Urban Soul. They will get to know what you usually order.

If you're looking for a great-tasting breakfast or brunch meal at a good price, I wouldn't go much…read morefurther the the Hollywood Bakery Westfield Manukau. It's one of my much-loved places to eat in the mall when I have time. This place can get crowded quite fast and its quite popular among the older generation. Their all-day breakfast menu covers all the bases and they do it really well here. I love their french toast. It's served with bacon, maple syrup, and a decent amount of seasonal fresh fruit, although I do enjoy their caramelised banana when they have it! The pancakes here are good too and when I'm feeling a bit heartier than usual, their big breakfast always does the trick (they also have a vegetarian option of this available). If you don't want to order off the menu, they've got a range of baked goodness for you. I always get their vege savoury for a quick bite, and on a cheat day I'll definitely be getting the the chicken and mushroom pie, its always tasty. I don't usually go for their pastas but they're usually sold out by mid-afternoon. Hollywood Bakery is a great option in the mall that's away from the food court and gives you a chance to sit down and relax between shopping destinations. Or just pop in for a coffee to go and a savoury for a quick yet satisfying bite.

My favourite combo to get is a bacon and egg muffin from the hot food cabinet and a flat white. It always tastes like they made it 10 mins ago, and proves to be very popular, as I rarely find more than 1 left in the cabinet in the late hours of the morning. Their Neenish tarts are simply to die for and club sandwiches are a nice addition if you don't want to feel too bad about the amount of fat you're creating. Then, once you're done, continue your shopping escapade without wanting to buy everything that looks marginally delectable. Also, these guys bake cakes for events, make breakfasts and have award winning pies. Seriously, would you go anywhere else?

It's just that place that you go to where you know the food will good and it'll fill you up. You can order breakfast whenever you like and its open 24 hours- maximum convenience! The service here is quite average- its usually pretty busy here so I can understand the staff are sometimes running around in a frenzy- so don't expect killer service. It's always good coming in a group as you can always amuse yourselves to pass the time. I was here a few nights ago with a friend and even though we had to wait ten minutes for a table (it was packed), our food was in front of us after 10-15 minutes. I ordered the surf and turf- this is my favourite main here because you get everything- steak with special sauce and shrimp, vegetables and fries. Their buffalo wings are also excellent! I really couldn't fault these. Ever. As far as dessert goes, an oreo sundae is a must. That sundae is great and for it's price, you can't get much better anywhere else. If you've got a family with a few children and you're looking for an inexpensive meal, I'd try Denny's. They accommodate for a big groups and if a child dines with a paying adult, they eat for free from the kids menu. You really can't get better value than that!

Blimey, there's some poo reviews here…read more.. We come here every now and then and it's not that bad... Yeah, they can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they are as crap as some of the reviews here... Apart from the steak comment, it is kinda meh for a steakhouse. A few years ago I had 3 beers tipped in my lap by an unco waitress. It think she was trying to find the quickest route to my pee pee by cutting out the middle man. They seem to mainly hire teens, so service is either over enthusiasm or slight disinterest... Kinda funny either way. But it hasn't stopped us from coming back. The staff that have been here for ages are always really good too. El Burrito (chicken one) is nice Chicken crepe is nice Weiner schnitzel and chicken one is nice Sizzling Fajitas are nice Tried the entree special - Butter chicken... And I can make a better one from scratch to be honest, but it was ok. They have a Broncos card for $40 for a year which gives you one meal free, and other deals, so it works out way cheaper than eating at somewhere like Maccas. So, leave high expectations at the door and leave afterwards with a full belly. 4 stars from me, don't be put off by the slightly harsh reviews.

Inside you'll find a number of businesses dispensing to the thirsty and hungry; a general store, a sushi shop, juice shop and now, to add to a rather impressive list of vendors - Jamaica Blue Cafe. I'm always on the lookout for new cafes/restaurants so it was with glee that I spotted this establishment - newly opened. I was not able to stay on my first visit but was very pleased to hear that they were open for breakfast the following morning at 6am. I returned at said time and was not surprised to be the only person there (I was on holiday from work at the time). The rather small menus (In size and choice) are held in small wooden display boards. The victuals listed are standard fare with the focus on breakfast. I perused and immediately made my choice; a feta, spinach and tomato omelette. Served steaming hot, it was very tasty indeed but I did feel that maybe a tad too much oil was used in its preparation. Still very delish though! The slice of sourdough toast was very moreish and 10/10 for the butter which was soft and easy to spread. Once this was cleared I ordered my standard mocha with a freshly baked blueberry muffin. The coffee was spectacular! With the cafe named after the world famous coffee brand, you'd expect nothing less. The service was exceptionally convivial and a departing wave and smile from the chef was a nice personal touch. I suggest to all and sundry that you make it a habit of utilising our public transport system if only to try their wonderfully robust coffee! This new business is certainly well worth the effort.
