Turkish delight hot chocolate is a winner in my book. Lots of yummy looking cakes and desserts too. Did not eat a proper meal on this visit, but lots to chose from. The place is nice and clean and tidy. Although there was a couple of used cups on one table for quite a while. We shall return again.

Some where there is a restroom door.

Exceptional coffee, exceptional food. If you're after volume at a cheap price, don't come here. If you like great coffee and food and are prepared to pay a little extra, this is the place to come to. Lovely decor, clean toilets, newspapers to read and outdoor dining all available. Nice atmosphere and the music isn't too loud. Conversation isn't stifled by noise reverberation as in some other wooden floored cafes. There are no children's play facilities here though, so you'd need to bring your entertainment for the little 'uns. Love this place and the coffee is made quickly and superbly.

The latest franchise of The Coffee Club has opened up in Pukekohe. Some good advertising meant they had printed some buy one get one free vouchers in the local paper. I am always partial to some free food so thought why not. Today is a public holiday and went I walked in I immediately thought to my self what surcharge am I going to have to absorb, my view is if you can not afford to pay your staff extra to work on a public holiday then don't open, it shouldn't be a customer's problem that its public holiday. However, I was pleasantly surprised to hear there was no surcharge today.. Well done! The menu is great with various options for Breakfast / Lunch or All Day... I actually had trouble choosing between the breakfast menu & the lunch menu, mainly because it was 12pm and I skipped breakfast today. I went with brunch and took a Bacon & Egg Sandwich with a side of mushrooms & hash brown. I was asked if I wanted hasbrown(s) with my order.. which to me meant plural more than one.. but was only given one.. to be fair it was on the larger size. When this franchise opened up the staff although very friendly and equally warming, hadn't got the hang of their menu or how to work their POS system (Point of Sale), a question about their coffee greeted me with a quizzed look on the girls face followed by asking a co-worker who shrugged their shoulders. Oh well.. i'll risk it and see how it goes. I tempted fate by agreeing to her suggestions for additional sides of food, which again suggested to me they would be served in a separate plate / bowl.. but found them in my sandwich which is unique to me & i didn't really mind as the whole thing tasted quite nice. But what about that coffee I ordered??.. Flat white with a caramel shot... still waiting... a good 15 mins must have past before It arrived with an apology for the delay. I guess the barista is also new as the coffee taste over extracted and left a very burnt / bitter taste in my mouth only washed away by water. The atmosphere is quite fresh and new, their toilet is hidden behind a fake stone wall which I personally thought was quite neat to look at & they had a nice outdoor area which would be awesome in the sun. I see that The Coffee Club offers a VIP Card, which gives you discounts off food & coffee at a cost of $25 per year.. quite reasonable if you like their coffee and go their often.. probably not to this store until their barista is up to standard but you can use this at any of The Coffee Club stores.

If there is one thing all dentists hate in the world.. It would have to be sugar!…read more But thankfully, I only have to see mine once a year and spend the next hour getting dressed down for not brushing properly or flossing incorrectly, and that I should lay off the sugary drinks.. Then charges me a $150 to prove his point. The Sugar Shed in Pukekohe, will do nothing to help my dentist along with his preaching.. in fact I might even be a regular! Sorry Mr Dentist, but Sugar is too good to pass up. A recently new addition to Pukekohe located by the old library behind the BNZ, the Sugar Shed is a little boys dream and a big kids heaven. There are deserts galore on offer. The menu on offer is quite impressive and has a good coffee list to match. The decor matches their theme of being in a shed. The staff there are warm & friendly and provided me with lots of recommendations. I decided to stick with the Mars Bar Cheese Cake & an Iced Coffee..Yes summer maybe over but it is still pretty humid outside. The cake it self looked impressive on its own and tasted just the same, right to the very end. The Iced Coffee very well made & not put together like other places, where it's just coffee & milk with lots of ice & then charge you six dollars. What I found more warming and surprising was being offer the rest of the mix in the shaker as there was only a "little bit left over". This little bit left over turned out to be 3/4 full of another glass! so in fact i was given nearly two iced coffees for the price of one!. Clearly the staff here know a thing or two about customer service & keeping customers coming back. I guess they would have too, they are locked in a battle with Mr Dentist and he would love it nothing more for them to pack up and head out-of-town... *sigh* That's his job, although we may not like it, I still respect him for it. I find it hard to find fault here, with what the Sugar Shed have produced here, Good Food matched with Good Coffee & great customer service. I'll be seeing you soon, right after my next dental check up ;-) Food 4/5 - Excellent - Service 5/5 - Warming & Friendly Atmosphere -3.5/5 - A shed it is Overall 4/5 - A Dentists worse Nightmare, but all my dreams combined.

It was worth it, driving through the countryside wondering where on earth we were heading and then amongst a bunch of shops and another cafe right across the street, sits Kaos. The walls are lined with old vinyl covers, everything from Dusty Springfield to David Bowie; great to ohhh! (affectionally) over, and ahhhh! (not so affectionally) over. Out the back is an array of old couches that host movie nights, if you look up you will see an array of brightly coloured circles enticing one to ponder if they have time warped into a 60's electric-kool-aid-acid-trip. Wonderful eclectic array of furnishings too. My classic bene eggs with salmon was ample in size and tasted delicious, hubby's poached egg on top of mince was pretty praise worthy too. Coffee was good, but would have been that little bit better if slightly stronger. Lots of space, despite the popularity; you can sit inside, outside, or even at an old ironing board table bench if you do so wish. This place was put together by someone who obviously love's what they do, it is full of personality and creativity, and is a great way to attract locals and tourists alike - well done!
