I've been to Cafe Flo probably 5 times. I just love the feeling of the spot - the view- the quaint New England ambiance you get dining here. My daughter and I had lunch this summer. It was busy at the time. They have lots of delicious choices on the menu so if you want to eat light or get an appetizer and entree to fill you up. We had sangria which was tasty and festive. We split and appetizer and each got an entree. The waitress was lovely too. I got the lunch special- they offer them daily too. My daughter enjoyed her lunch lobster salad and so did I. We shared a sorbet to wrap it up. Stop in you will not be disappointed.

Haven't been in a few years. Went for lunch today with friends. Very busy as it was the annual faerie house exhibit but luckily we had made reservations. Cool but they let us move our table off the porch and into the sun! Shared asparagus soup and the house made potato chips with blue cheese and bacon. Those were great. Baked cod and frenched chicken breast for entrees then shared the flourless chocolate torte....another winner. Wine, espresso an tea warmed us up and we'll be eagerly awaiting their reopening next Spring! PS...had a fabulous waitress.

Food fell well short of expectations, steak was delivered Luke warm, and very watery. We didn't eat much of any food items that were ordered. The restaurant is a great concept that runs seasonally. Very relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful. I suggest to skip the food and sample cocktails and enjoy the scenery.

Best Arnold Palmer drink hands down! This place is a great find on a sunny day after touring the Florence Griswold museum. The menu is cute with a great view of the river. I plan to come here again with my family to check it out and again. Please try to be patient as they are short-staffed.

What a great place for lunch. Great menu! Great service. Best river side view. Btw. GET THE SANGRIA! It is delicious. Anything you order is great.

Surprising treasure tucked behind the museum. Creative enticing specials and fabulous selection of menu options. Hard to choose. It was all good. The butternut squash soup & the lobster blt were winners. Great service and ambiance on the patio. Overall so many things to do, see, and eat at the museum. Great day trip from NYC.

Menu in the shape of a palette, since this used to be a boarding house for an artist colony.

You wouldn't expect the food could be this delicious, at a museum café. Big chunks of tender lobster, in the lobster BLT.The dressing on the coleslaw was light, and had an interesting flavor, without the excessive mayonnaise you find in most coleslaws. The asparagus soup was delicious, very fresh flavor, and everything is made in their own kitchens. Lovely ambience, sitting in the shade on a porch, with views of the river.

A relaxing spring afternoon on the veranda with a peaceful view of the Lieutenant River! The best place in Old Lyme. We had the grilled bacon and apple cheese sandwich special and Halibut with chard special! It was delicious. The homemade sangria was perfectly mixed not too sweet not to strong! And we couldn't resist the dessert! The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Delicious! Cafe Flo was a great stop on our weekend in CT. The food was delicious, waitstaff very friendly and outside patio seating was fantastic. Shannan does a fantastic job here - We highly recommend giving Cafe Flo a try.

The young man waiting on is explained that because it is a bed and breakfast they had restrictions on dining hours ok I understand As the night progresses and me on a sour mood.. these folks were able to turn it around with kindness , thoughtful care and exceptional food The salad with buratta was so fresh , very simple but elegant In presentation The Tuna Tatare an absolute powerhouse of clean flavor without a fishy aroma. The bomb dish ( in a good way) was the linguine with lobster. Wow!!! Many places here on EH destroy your wallet just by using the title " lobster" this perfectly seasoned dish is a light butter cream sauce was not at all heavy the lobster plentiful and frankly enough for two ppl All in all my only complaint is that they are only open Wednesday through Saturday but hey.. if it's that good it worth planning around their schedule. Go!

No matter, we were there before 11AM so we were served breakfast. The server we had was excellent she was a former employee of the Coffee Break which was the old restaurant in this location. The place is LOUD. The decor is new and refreshed. There is NO WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS (which surprised me as they just renovated the place. One would think the Town of Clinton would have required it.) I had the Breakfast Wrap with sausage and american cheese. It was good and filling. $7.00 (in May 2026) My companion had the Quinoa Omelette pictured 1/2 eaten ($14.75 in May 2026) which was good. The home fries had a little too much salt but were otherwise excellent. Personally when there is salt actually on the table, I always wonder why the cook just lightly dusts with salt as I can add more. We also ordered a fresh fruit cup which had grapes purple and green, strawberries, and a few hard pieces of honey dew melon. $6.50 (May 2026) In May 2026 the hours are 0700-1430 MON - SAT 0700-1200 SUN ****WARNING**** They stop servicing breakfast items at 11AM They do take credit cards BUT... They used to take it right at the table now, they don't which means you wait to pay. Bad move on the owner's part. There is plenty of free parking. I imagine there will be waits once the summer season gets going so plan to wait (maybe on the weekends)?
