This place is awesome mostly because of the GIANT cookies. We had at least one every single day we were in Key West!

Visited with my family on a Sunday morning very much looking forward to trying this restaurant that…read moreso many had recommended. Unfortunately our experience fell short. I ordered the La Printanière, which is a buckwheat crepe with mix salad, avocados, goat cheese, pears, strawberries, spicy candied walnuts, vinaigrette ($15) with added prosciutto (+$4). The crepe itself was fine, a bit drier than I expected but fine. Where my enjoyment ended was finding a large piece of parchment paper deep in my crepe. It was clearly the paper that is in between slices of prosciutto, but it was large enough anyone assembling this dish should have seen it. It definitely made me question the care and attention of the kitchen staff. I brought it to the attention of our server, and he took the plate back to the kitchen. He did take a few dollars off of our bill, although not the entire $19. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the restaurant.

My husband usually gets some sort of Benedict and he enjoys it. The fruit bowl is fresh and delicious. One time I ordered an almond glazed croissant, but it wasn't as good as the creeps, which are fantastic. The coffee choices are great and the service is always great. The food comes quick, and the atmosphere is adorable with their little courtyard! I'll be back!!

We arrived around 11:10 am after checking out at the hotel, was seated almost immediately upstairs (they were not super packed). We placed our orders and waited about 25 minutes (we were all just using our phones so time went by without thinking much about it) but still nothing has arrived..... I checked with our waitress and she stated she checked with the kitchen and said our foods were coming. Five minutes later nothing came (it's now been 30 minutes). I checked with her again and she went back to the kitchen, she returned and stated the kitchen staff was very busy and they had other customers to take care of too..... We immediately asked for our check and I paid for my coffee and left. We ended up going to Frenchie's cafe down the block and had an amazing time. We had been to so many restaurants at Key West this past week and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for our foods to arrive. We aren't sure if the breakfast items at this cafe were any good but the wait time was beyond reasonable and no warning was given ahead of time. If this cafe cannot handle all the tables they allotted, they should not have so many tables and open both levels (two stories), seating your customers and need them to wait at least 30 minutes for breakfast tells me that your kitchen is unable to manage a 90% full customer base.

We came across Blackfin Bistro on our last night in Key West. If we had discovered it earlier in…read morethe trip, it likely would have earned a repeat visit. Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.

Highly recommend their Diablo Burger, croquettes, tempura green beans and of course their creme brûlée is the best on the island as well as their carrot cake. An extremely unique ambience and decoration. But it's not too much or too little. The seating is comfortable and private. Our server was very nice, he checked in at all the right times and was sweet. We only ordered one dessert and it got there promptly. Everything on the menu looked excellent and delicious. We settled on the cookie nookie cake, it was super fresh with many contrasting flavors that made every bite a pleasure. Overall had an amazing time and recommend this place for anything from a late night dessert or a full dessert meal. If we're ever around again, we are definitely going back and trying a lot more than just one dessert.

We ordered the fourgasm and French kiss cocktails. It was so so so delicious. Our favorite was the red velvet cheesecake. We also got the key lime dessert. I don't like pie so this was the perfect way to experience the key lime desserts. 10/10 I'll be back.

That braised pork appetizer was like jello pork and especially bad. The grouper didn't look like grouper. It was gray and really fatty and lacked flavor. The desserts were good especially the key lime pie. The tuna on the ceviche was really good but had too much sauce for my taste, though the sauce was good. They automatically added in the 20% then offered a suggested tip on top of that. I certainly hope the house isn't keeping that 20% because it did say "service charge" and not gratuity but adding 20% is the gratuity in my world. I genuinely hope they are not stealing the servers tips. Finally, the server was very nice but the overall service was really slow. It was WAY too expensive for how bad it was. Yes, we are picky eaters because there is so much good food around. We had an amazing lunch elsewhere for 1/5 of the of price. I don't mind paying for fantastic food but I get feisty when I pay too much for bad food. I was so excited about doing this and thought the marketing and hype was great. I was wildly underwhelmed.
