Town Bakery is one of the few Middle Eastern bakeries open during Ramadan. Due to the holidays,…read morethey had a shortened menu with many items not being available during the month. What was available were the delectable looking mini pies in the display case in the front. Not what I wanted when I first walked in, but I can't really complain! Dozen Pies ($9.90) - Got 6x Zaatar, 3x Round Meat, 3x Cheese. The Zaatar has the characteristic earthiness and tanginess from the sumac, toasted sesame and other spices. The cheese is mild and milky. I think they only use mozzarella as it didn't have the characteristic saltiness and tanginess from the other cheese types traditionally on pies. The meat is well spiced with bursts of sweet allium pungency and a bit of acidity from the tomato. All three pie types were quite good after reheating in the toaster oven. The only thing that brings down my score is that the base bread is overly sweet. They put quite a bit of sugar in the dough that some bites felt like I was eating a dessert bread rather than a savory pastry. I will be back after Ramadan to try their other items.

I would give it a 4.5 probably but I'll be nice and round up. I only tried the bakery items…read more First off the fresh big cheese bread here is SOME OF THE BEST I've ever had. So good. So fresh. So cheesey. The meat pie, spinach pie, and labneh were decent. They heated it up for me but they were still kinda cold. The meat pies were very bread-y. I like the meat pies at kings better. Next time I'll try the lamb or mandi chicken. Mmm.

The menu photos on Yelp are NOT CORRECT PRICES. I went here expecting to pay around $18 and the…read morebill ended up being $28. I got the chicken kebab entree with rice, lentil soup and a small tabouli. The rice was good, the chicken was a way over charred. Literal crunchy black layer. There was not a good amount of vegetables. The tabouli was VERY TASTY, I loved that. And the Lentil soup was very runny almost like chicken noodle soup. But the lentils was very aroma and still tasted very yummy, just not as filling as a thicker lentil. I was given like 4 pita breads and a garlic also with the meal. The restaurant looked clean inside. I won't be back to this restaurant only because I've had way better for around the same price or less, but if this was my first time trying Mediterranean food I may be back only because in that case I wouldn't be knowledgeable enough about what flavors to look for in these dishes. Thank you for the meal though! I will be eating it all. PS. Walking to the door of the restaurant is a giant lip in the sidewalk and my partners toe was injured because it stubbed.

Highly recommend!!! I was in line at the car wash and my husband wanted to meet for lunch. So I…read moreknew Taza was nearby and had him come here, told him what to order (he's new to Mediterranean food) and said I will meet you after my car wash. Well it took me almost 30 minutes to get there, and my husband, still afraid to just order what I said lol, ate his bread and garlic until I arrived. The gentleman who was working that day was extremely patient with my husband sitting there so long waiting for me, and was very polite to me when I was seated. I ordered my husband the Shish Tawook dinner with rice and Salad. I ordered a bowl of Chicken lemon Rice soup. His chicken piece's were huge, delicious and well seasoned. The rice, also well seasoned, light and fluffy. The salad itself was plentiful, and was not overdressed. the lettuce was very fresh, and there were also plenty of cucumbers and tomato's. the bread was hot, fluffy and excellent with the garlic! When my husband asked for the bill, I told him to add a quart of the chicken lemon rice to go. He gave me the soup and said thats for you, no charge. He also gave us 2 rice puddings. not sure if that came with his meal or not but it was delicious and appreciated. I definitely made sure to leave a nice tip, which he was getting with or without the free soup. Seating is plentiful, once ordered food came fast with every single item tasting fresh, well seasoned and delicious. There is a cooler with drinks so if you order to go you can grab a drink.
