Platter for two was excellent! Probably enough food for three. Can't wait to come back.

One guy seated at a booth on the phone and two ladies with their suitcase at another booth. Other than the 3 people, place was empty. Ordered carry out. crushed lentil bowl, chicken kafta, two sides: small hummus, small baba ghanouj, large fattoush salad with no pita. $38.13 Food takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Drove all the way back to the office. My chicken kafta looks to be lamb, not at all what I ordered. My large fattoush is covered in pita chips. Had to spend several minutes getting every pita chip out of the salad. It's good I am not allergic to gluten. They shove the dressing packet in the corner of the salad, so you get a bit less, that and the pita chips. Other than that, the salad was fine. I am quite disappointed the order is not right! The crushed lentil soup has a lot of rice in it, which is just filler to me. Has some clumps of something, may be rice and starch? It's too inconvenient to drive all the way back. Do be sure to check your carry out order before you leave the place. The crushed lentil is quite bland, not much flavor to it. Tastes some fennel, quite a few clumps of starch. The soup is more rice than lentil. I could count on one hand how many traces of lentil was in my bowl of soup. What in the world? My husband ate the lamb kafta, since I don't eat red meat. He said it was so-so, but rather dry.

They start you with a fluffly pita style bread that you dip in a garlic aoili butter or red sauce then a house salad. Loved the fresh and citric flavors in the salad. It had cucumbers and tomatoes and well seasoned. We got the family platter that came with chicken and beef kabobs without the skewers. Almond rice that was spectacular because it mixed with the sauce from the meat. Reminded me of home cooking. Served with veggies such as squash, carrots and peppers. Our waitress was LV, she was super nice and energetic and gave us refills of soda throughout the meal. Oh before I forgot, there is no beer or alcohol here, free parking, right next to a strip club

The owners are incredibly kind and make you feel appreciated as a customer, which really stands out. The food is pretty good overall, with solid Middle Eastern flavors and generous portions. One small thing I've noticed is that occasionally the bread comes out a bit cold, but it's a minor issue and hasn't taken away from the overall experience. Between the warm hospitality and consistently good food, LaPita is definitely a spot worth stopping by when you're in Dearborn.

They started us off with complimentary plain bread, which felt a bit basic without even a touch of garlic or flavoring. The place didn't have a dedicated drinks menu, but the server mentioned she could make anything we wanted, which sounded promising. However, the drinks didn't quite live up to expectations. The margaritas ($12) were quite diluted, and the $7 mocktails were underwhelming. For food, we ordered the Chicken Kabob Dinner, Shawarma Platter, and Spicy Man-Usha. Both the Chicken Kabob Dinner and Shawarma Platter came with two sides : we chose fattoush salad, Greek salad, and grilled vegetables. The grilled vegetables were done really well, and the shawarma platter was enjoyable. However, the chicken kabob was disappointingly dry, and the Spicy Man-Usha, despite sounding exciting, turned out quite bland. Overall, it was an okay experience, pleasant enough for a casual visit, but not something that would make us go out of our way to return.

Sarah walked me through the menu and showed me some of the more popular items and how to eat them. The food! I ordered the Fatteh with meat and the spicy potatoes. I loved the seasoning, spices, and texture. I would order these items again but next time I will have to try some new things. So many things to choose from. Service was great. Sarah was helpful since it was my first time here. She encouraged me to try some of their more popular items but also explained other options on the menu for now or next time. There is a good amount of seating. And everything was clean. As far as location goes, it's in a great spot right on Inkster Rd. Whether you're in the neighborhood, driving through, or coming from the hospital, this is an easy spot to get to with easy parking out front. Al Tayeb gives you a great taste of Lebanese food and flavors right in your backyard. I will come here again and bring friends.
