My friends and I were looking for a place to have a quick full breakfast. We found this place and decided to give it a try. We had the standard brunch which for 69kk was a pretty good deal. You get a plate with a pancake, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bacon and meats and cheeses. It was very filling and the pancake was the best part! It was so tasty I think they grilled it which was different from the states but a welcomed surprise. It was definitely worth it. We both took buffet "Eat as much as you can" because the buffet looked attractive and we weren't disappointed! It's not the best food I've ever tasted of course but it's great for a brunch. There is a lot of choice between pasta, fish, salad, meet, etc. Service is discrete but the place is crowded so you can see them rushing. Anyway, it doesn't affect the experience. As the restaurant is often crowded, it's a bit noisy. What is not beatable is the price: 10€ between 10am and 3pm and 12.50€ between 5pm and 10pm. Not the fanciest food in CPH, but definitely one of the most filling options for the price. Excellent value buffet for 79kr during lunch! Service: minimal. It's a relatively large restaurant, and it's been packed both times I've been here. It's hard to wave down a waiter for menus and even to pay, but that seems to be a European norm in general. Buffet selection: I've only come during lunch, but it should be "brunch" instead since they do have some traditional breakfast options that you can use to assemble your own affordable CPH brunch, such as yogurt, rugbrod, smoked salmon, pancakes, bacon, etc. The lunch options are heavier and creamier, like meatballs, grilled chicken, etc. They've got a small salad bar on the side. Pro tip: if you have time, come around 2 or 3 to snag the lunch buffet price. Around 4pm is when they begin bringing out the dinner options, so you can try both lunch and dinner dishes for the cheap lunch price. read more

We had breakfast here our first morning in Copenhagen. Neither of us are huge fans of buffets, so I had the standard brunch plate, my husband had the deluxe. It was a huge amount of food and very tasty. Only downside was we realized after we were done eating that the waitress never brought bread. We sat outside, where it was a bit quieter. read more

They are LIARS! We called them up to ask what time the buffet closed and they said 11.30 will be last refill. They took the food away at 10pm and when we asked them if they were going to bring more they said it had already closed. We reminded them of our phone conversation but they blatantly denied misinforming us. On top of that the manager had the balls to question saying you've been here a while so how many plates did you have 3, 4, 5? Like WTF mind your business you jerk. Summary: Cheap if you're broke, hungry, or just exercised like crazy and need to eat large quantities of food. It's a buffet that offers a reduced price during non-peak hours. Service can really vary. The Atmosphere: While visually it looks like 90's trendy dining experience, the feeling is like a US college dining hall. It's a zoo with lots of nearby students clearly taking advantage of the cheap prices. It stays busy all the time primarily because what would normally be low hours is 1/2 the price, thereby driving the broke nearby students in in droves. The Service: They seem to have enough staff and yet service can be a bit all over the map. I went one time and never got seated, despite seeing empty chairs. When I asked about it, the lady just indicated that she wasn't the hostess and that there is probably a long wait. all very strange. But I was hungry a second time and staying nearby, so I tried again. I got seated just fine this time and had reasonably good service. Perhaps they just know Americans tip? The Food: It's actually quite good and cheap! If you're not from Copenhagen, this is a decent way to try all the cold Scandinavian salads you want. The hot dishes are ok for what it is. For me, I was starving, it was one of few things opened, i.e. it was perfect. The tip to newbies here is to use your eyes carefully. It's a buffet, so you should be on the look-out for anything dry or that seems to have stayed out for too long. Don't get that stuff. If it looks like they just put it out, then go for that stuff. All of this is well learned through the US college dining system. They do have menu service. These items are all pretty cheap as well. One of my favourite cheap brunch buffet places. I would go here pretty often on Sunday mornings for their brunch buffet that is only 69kr for fresh seafood, pasta, frikadeller (danish meatballs), salad, and more. There is pretty large variety here, and is a great deal compared to other places in the city. I would also recommend drinking the Hyldeblomst hot tea (it is served with fresh fruit and is a great pick me up!), the other drinks such as the hot chocolate and cappuccinos are pretty good as well. Reviews for this place were not encouraging. So I was a bit skeptical when invited to this place. I can say the overall there have been two major mistakes the staff has committed with our table: 1) we got seated, another group of people just left the table and its surface was comprehensibly dirty. You know, pieces of bread, food and stains of drinks. Normal stuff. What was NOT normal is the fact the the waitress seated us without cleaning the table! We thought 'well, she will clean later, before placing cutlery and stuff, right?'. WRONG! She arrived with the cutlery, dishes and everything, placing all the things on the freaking dirty table. At that point I was like "stop. Can we clean the table first??" only then she went to get the things to clean it. I mean come on, a bit of hygiene, it's 2014 and we live in Europe, there are standards to respect. 2) they wanted us to pay immediately after having ordered. Why?? Were they afraid we were going to escape without paying? That was a bit humiliating to be honest. It never happened to me before. I hope it was not because we were foreigners. Moreover some people in the group wanted to order some more at the end and they had to: call another waitress, ask to have the menu back, choose something else, pay and waiting to receive the new order. Do not go here! It looks pleasing, but I think it's very over-hyped and pricey. A friend and I split the chicken nachos which looked wonderful on their way to the table--but the salsa was canned--the guac tasted like it was mixed with mayo, and the food tasted worse and worse. We couldn't even finish a third of the meal. We told the waitress we felt sick (and later I was sick) and her response was "It happens. It's the cheese." Greatly enjoyed the food here at this ultra crowded with locals and tourists buffet/ restaurant. The buffet serves typical Scandinavian salad along with cold meats and fish. The hot dishes include various meatballs, stews, roast chicken and a couple misfire lasagna like dishes. Desert is not included in the buffet but that's not such a bad thing. Service is fairly competent given the crowds and, best of all, it's dirt cheap for Copenhagen. I would definitely come back. read more

Weird atmosphere, busy, stone-faced personel and food that is like a kid making a samdwich for his parents and no one saying anything, because it would break the social contract. Buffet looks ok. Burger is not seasoned, on old bread, fries come out of a frozen bag, and dipping from a cheap plastic bucket. Salsa tastes of unclean fridge. "Fillet" Sandwich is made with standard supermarket cold cuts. Salads are fresh, though, but with cheapest ingredients. Better off finding another cafe, like cafe Sommersko. read more

I found this place pretty late at night on my visit to Copenhagen, maybe 10:30 PM or so on a Monday. Glad I did! Really nice place to grab a bite, and at that hour they had a half off deal on their food. Bonus! Liked the atmosphere. The decor is kind of urban/modern, but not overdone; the place still feels warm and cozy. Our waiter was extremely nice and helpful, too. I had a delicious vegetarian sandwich with artichoke hearts, peppers and hummus, with some tasty little potatoes on side. To drink, I had a Latte Macchiato (had to stay up for my flight!), and oh, that was really fantastic. My boyfriend had a "Yankeesburger," half because it sounded good to him and half for the amusement factor of seeing their take on American food. The 'nachos' are indeed Doritos, but on the whole my boyfriend was impressed with his burger and enjoyed his meal very much. Had lunch outside at Cafe Dalle Valle today. The waitress took our order and then brought our drinks but dropped my water off the table and spilled it on my laptop bag. The water was replaced but I was still charged 20 kroner for a glass of tap water. The food was then brought out was I given the wrong order. They then took the meals back but shortly thereafter brought out the meal of the person with whom I was eating. My food came out about 20 minutes later. Dining here was truly a horrible experience. The buffet had clearly been left out for hours - it was barely warm, the potatoes were like rubber, the pasta (even covered in sauce) had dried out and hardened, the scrambled eggs were watery and made from powder, and the pancakes were like floury sponges. On top of that the extremely overpriced soft drink were in a glass which seemingly had boogers on the inside - something we didn't notice until having drank most of it. Upon making the waiter aware of it, and suggesting either a replacement or a cut in price, the waiter got extremely rude and condescending; refusing both refund and replacement given that we had consumed part of it. I've been here once before, which wasn't a remarkable experience nor embarrassingly horrible. Tonight, however, is worth writing about. The food was of standard quality, however unless you're a massive fan of dry bread and red onion, then don't go for the vegetarian sandwich. Most disappointing was the staff. Our waiter came round to our table of 7, to double check our orders 2 times, later, to count the number of people at our table, later to tell us he was ready to give the bill but was missing the receipt, then back again with the credit card machine, then he asked each of us to calculate our own share. Just to double check so that the risk of him making a mistake was decreased. I don't see how that responsibility should be the guest's? We politely suggested for him to simply walk around the table and let each pay consecutively as (by now) we all knew what everyone had gotten due to his repeated listing. Anyway, he declined and said he'd appreciate our cooperation as he'd messed it up earlier on another day (just like with the orders) and things didn't go down well for him. That information is not necessary nor wanted for us to hear. He was a very polite guy, but it was simply outrageous the time he took at our table.
