DKK10 per credit

This is a hipster bar in a hipster neighborhood with many cool bars that I really like. This neighbor hood is my new favorite part of Copenhagen! At night the clientele is guests in their 20-30-something and during daytime a bit older. Laid back atmosphere. Worn furnitures. Breakfast served all day - looked really good! (Didn't have it). If you prefer IPA, ales and pale ales on tap - look further. Here they go for lagers. Super hot temperature in the inner room! Please get AC or at least get the windows to open! In the back they have two pinball machines - Judge Dredd and Big Buck Hunter. DDK10 per credit. They are placed a bit cramped, but ok. Just turn them on if you want to play. Coins can be changed in the bar, but preferably bring a bunch yourself. Both machines are in ok condition (BBH even good). AMEX not accepted. Free wifi!

Tasty sandwich, large restaurant, pretty laid back - order at the bar and then sit back and relax. Top tier ice latte. If I'm wandering around vesterbro and need to feed my friends I'd stop by again.

Despite attracting a lot of hipsters, Bang&Jensen pulls off being a cosy bar with great atmosphere, both for late night conversations with friends and for an afternoon lunch or coffee. The interior is retro and exiting - despite showing wear and tear. Their brunches are ok, and they have some light dishes for lunch and dinner.

Croque Monsieur.

But the food was really great!! You get a little checklist and a pencil and you check off five or eight items and I checked off I believe it was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as well as this rhubarb raspberry berry concoction dessert at the end which is tremendously good. The coffee was sublime. Think I also had an espresso-tini, which drive the entire cost up to $50. There was also delicious bread. The whole place had that communal type of vibe that I so enjoy about Danish cafés. I asked one of the staff super- models about the little Danish flags that some of the tables had and her explanation was kind of convoluted, but I believe I understood it. Whenever there's a celebration of any kind - anything from a birthday, to someone starting a new job, to someone having a child, etc., Danes love to have a flag involved! Go here!

Most dishes were good, especially the chicken nugget. I would also recommend the broccolini which was a refreshing veggie to have. Everything was unfortunately a bit too salty. There was a chia tiramisu that I thought was the best part of the meal.

This particular location is in Tivoli Food Hall, and it is currently the only restaurant there that serves Danish foods. The menu included both classic and innovative flavors: potato, pork, fried fish, chicken salad, roast beef, herring, shrimp, smoked salmon, meatball, etcetera. I ordered one chicken-salad sandwich and one salmon-salad sandwich. The sandwiches had pretty appearances, fresh ingredients, and tasty flavors.

We order three smorrebrod and we ate them in the Tivoli food hall. All were served on plates. The correct way to eat was with a fork and knife as we learned while watching an episode of Somebody Feed Phil. The chicken salad was undoubtedly our favorite. Lots of shredded chicken but overall smooth and tasty. We crumbled the bacon to add some texture and that was even better. The marinated salmon was ok but we liked the nice pop of flavor from the pomegranate seeds. I may try to add them at home to my smoked salmon. The egg and shrimp smorrebrod was tastier. We returned our empty plates back to the counter when we were finished. Not completely in love with open face sandwiches but may try again on a future return trip to Copenhagen.

The interior was packed, although it did have some seating, with eclectic decor and old framed photos on the walls. My sister and I ordered three pastries to share - the Cardamom Bun, one of the "snail" pastries, and the Raspberry Bun. The interior was too crowded for us, so we took these to a nearby coffee shop to eat. All three were delicious, but the Raspberry Bun stole the show for me! I just loved the tart filling. The Cardamom Bun was tasty, but not as memorable at the one from Juno Bakery, and the "snail" wasn't my favorite. Overall though, worth the visit!

It's usually packed, sometimes very packed, and the handful of seats feel more valuable than a winning lottery ticket. The coffee is fine, does the job, but let's be honest, you're here for the pastries. And wow, the pastries. Warm, flaky, buttery perfection that makes the wait completely forgivable. We ate FOUR between two of us!! My favorites were the custard and cinnamon roll. But the blueberry and poppy seed shouldn't be overlooked either. We didn't get cardamom this time... not really a fan of that. Grab one, dodge the crowd, and eat it outside if you have to, because these are absolutely worth it. Copenhagen bakery culture at its most intense and delicious.

This shop was super close to our Zleep hotel right around the corner. She mistakenly read it as coffee and croissant for 5DKK but we realize we read the sign wrong or it would be too good to be true haha. It's ok. We went the next morning at 8:45am on a Saturday and this early bird special is only available for one hour from 8:30-9:30 Saturday Sunday or 7:30-8:30 Mon-Fri. Nice coffee shop. Barista was super nice. This place takes credit cards no problem. They have a few selection of pastries. We really like the croissants because they were super hot and fresh. Just baked right out of the oven with a nice fluffy bite into it. If your looking for super fancy latte art, not sure if this place is good at that. They do have a good interior seating and a nice section of outdoor seating as well. "Everything you look at can become a fairy tale and you can get a fairy tale from everything you…read moretouch." - Hans Christian Andersen Hej! Absolutely the most delicious Brød I had in Denmark! And trust me, I'm not being vulgar or sexist lol! If you're not fluent in Danish... Brød simply means bread. Ya! It's more than just bread! Bageriet Brød is located in the Vesterbro neighborhood of København and popular with the local Danes, so you pretty much know it's legit. I planned to bike over one early morning, but since WiFi was non-existent on the streets I couldn't unlock a bike, so did it the old fashioned way and walked about six blocks. Not the worse thing since I planned on carbing up! It's in an old neighborhood lined with boutiques and cafes, most still closed that early. Bageriet Brød is open! Yasss! I enter to Danes ordering morning Brød, coffee, etc. It gives me just enough time to peruse the menu in.. Danish! Lol! No worries since I do speak a little French, Spanish and English which does nothing here lol. Honestly most Danes in København speak perfect English, so no worries, mon. Order away... There's really no line, per se, but Danes are honest, never in a rush, the line is by honor system, so even tho two people slid ahead of me, when it was my turn, everyone turned my way lol. So I ordered the Morning Cinnamon Bun, Almond Croissant, Latté. The young Danish lady making my Latté was polite and spoke perfect English. Definitely easy on the eyes, but hey what's my verdict? I'll tell ya once I cross the street and find a bench. I decide to eat the Morning Cinnamon Bun first! Oh my! Each bite literally melted in my mouth! Crisp exterior with soft interior. So delicious! The Latté on point! Maybe not the best I've had, but I think the cute Dane who mix'd it - certainly convinced me it was the best! :D I decided to eat the Almond Croissant later, which ended being as soon as I got back to my hotel! And it was as amazing as the Bun I had earlier! Just Wow! After reading the reviews on Yelp & Google I knew my wants! :D Denmark still uses the native Dansk Krone currency rather than the Euro, fortunately, most businesses, will gladly accept your credit card. I also reached out to Rachel, former San Francisco Yelper, and now expat living in København that informed me of the Bageriet Brød and iconic Tartin Bakery connection. It all made sense after the fact! If you're unfamiliar with Tartin in San Francisco it is a pilgrimage for lovers of baked goods! Story goes that the owner of Tartin influenced Bageriet Brød to the point that they have some of his secret recipes! I've had Tartin before and I admit the quality is very familiar! What a small loving world we live in, huh?! In the end, I highly recommend Bageriet Brød in København! Amazing baked goods that will knock your Ecco's off! Just remember to bring your CC unless you be carrying Dansk Krone on ya! Jeg elsker også dig! And yes, I believe in fairy tales... :)

The pastries were okay. It'd be better if they were softer and richer in taste. I like the ambiance…read moreof the place - very simple yet stylish. Also the location is great - a square and a lot of hype stores around.
