Spaghetti and meatballs - We were really looking forward to trying this dish as it's my husband's favorite. We were surprised to find that it only comes with two meatballs, we would've thought it would be double that for the price and portion. Meat sauce was good, although I do prefer more sauce than they gave and a slightly thicker sauce as well, and meatballs were mushy. It's the soft kind of meatball where the meat is more ground and therefore mushy, and I dont like that type as much personally, I like having chunks of meat in my meatball. Eggplant Parmesan - was definitely looking forward to trying this as well! It was pretty good. My personal preference is more cheese and a slightly thicker sauce but it had a great flavor of all. Tiramisu - our biggest disappointment. We got the end corner piece and seemed to be the last slice perhaps. The slice was half the size as the portion we received as last time we came here. barely any ladyfingers since it was the edge and it was therefore mostly cream. It just wasn't the same, definitely a miss. Last time we had a nice tall slice with plenty of ladyfingers and espresso, this time it just felt so lackluster with mostly cream and not a lot of anything else and also the height was a lot lower due to it being a corner slice I assume. I had cafe corleone cater my son's party and it was a hit! While I haven't been to the restaurant in person yet, I have tried several of their dishes through family and everything has been great. For the party, we ordered the spaghetti, meatballs, chicken alfredo, and a rigatoni with short ribs. The rigatoni wasn't on the standard menu, but it was offered to us and it was fantastic. The meat was so tender and the sauce was excellent. It was definitely my favorite dish of the night. Everything was devoured and we received so many compliments from our guests. Came here early in the week last week with my cousin. It was my first time eating here, but he's been here a few times and orders to-go from them often. First thing I noticed is that it is Sicilian-style Italian food and there are posters from all over Sicily, which was a bit nostalgic for me. Anything from Italy makes me nostalgic. But being in this restaurant really made me feel like I was there. Mi manca l'italia! We were seated promptly by a young man who was molto gentile and were served by a woman working there. I feel bad that I didn't get either of their names but she also was very friendly and helpful in answering any questions I had about the menu and their wine. We started off with some calamari which was perfectly crispy and very delicious. For our entrees I ordered the linguini with clams and shrimp with a class of their sauvignon blanc, and my cousin ordered their lasagna with a glass of chianti. The food and the wine were all so delicious and perfectly paired. I loved finding all the slivers of garlic in my pasta and was even more satisfied to see more shrimp hiding in the linguini. I ordered my dish with the white wine sauce and it was delicious. I did feel like it was missing some flavor, but I'm not exactly sure what flavor that was. It was well seasoned, and garlicky without being overpowering, but maybe some other herb? I'm no help, but I will say I enjoyed my leftovers more the next day. I tried a bit of my cousin's lasagna and thought it was delicious. Personally, he felt there needed to be a better balance of sauce to cheese (he said it was too cheesy/rich), and while I did enjoy the bite I had, I could see what he meant. Good thing we started off with the calamari and some bread because his lasagna was too hot for a long time. For dessert, we split something I hadn't had since I was in Italy over 15 years ago. I did not know what to expect when he asked for the "lemon ice cream" dessert, but now that I know, I'll gladly have one for myself next time. It's Granita al Limone served inside the shell of a lemon. It is DELICIOUS and refreshing without being overwhelmingly sweet or rich. Also, isn't it just cute? Really outstanding experience! Great food, great service, and very old school ambiance! The traditional checkered tablecloths, and in keeping with the name, a lot of Godfather posters. We were greeted by a very welcoming gentleman whom I would guess is one of the owners. We got a basket of bread promptly, and the waiter took our drinks order. There's good quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table. My companion had spaghetti with meat sauce; he was visiting from Palm Springs, and said it was better than any spaghetti he had eaten in years. I had the eggplant parmigiana, which was excellent. I have to say the sauce is outstanding. I have had a lot of Italian food in the area, and Corelone's sauce is probably the best. One of the other owners (I am guessing) came over, and she told us that the recipe for the sauce is very old, and that one of the secrets is the length of time it is simmered. My boyfriend and I were looking for an authentic Italian place to eat at and stumbled upon Cafe Corleone on Yelp. Place looks to have been in business for a while and appears to be family owned which we loved. Inside is in the smaller side, but still had plenty of seating. We visited on a Sunday and was seated right away. All staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our server recommended the rigatoni barese and we loved it! The dish was simple, but the way it was made was so delicious . We both loved that the sauce wasn't heavy. The pasta was enough to feed 2 people . This place is amaazing! It's a warm, medium sized diner, it reminded me of a restaurant from the 70s or 80s. The walls are covered with pictures of Italian life, it's dimly lit, and the food is absolutely delicious! I ordered the lasagna, like all their food, it was freshly made. When it was brought to the table, the cheese on it was still bubbling! The owner ia a sweetheart, she greeted me when I came in, and my server was attentive, she checked in on me a few times, and at the end of the meal the owner ensured that I was happy with my food and overall dining experience. I ordered a large veggie pizza and added pepperoni (I honestly should have ordered a small and it would have been enough but had leftovers for dinner the next night). It was fresh, delicious, and piping hot! My friend ordered chicken fettucini alfredo and he absolutely loved it, saying it had very good flavor without the sauce being super thick and gooey like some places. It's been a while since I've visited this place but it remains one of my favorite restaurants to grab a slice of lasagna. The flavors are incredible. It's served piping hot out of the oven alongside some garlic bread. We also had the clam and white wine pasta. Everything is delicious! But good thing I was told about this place on how good it was, so I had to try it out. Staff was really friendly and understanding, we got there an hour before closing time, but still took us in, which was greatly appreciated. The decor reminded me of those little restaurants in Italy.
