Cafe Capuano is doing a FANTASTIC job of supporting its customers during the pandemic. They are extremely well set up to do touchless curbside pickup and there are several ways to order. They are very helpful by phone, or they have the full menu online to order via computer or phone. You can pay when you pick up or you can pay when you order. The food is quite good, and the fact that they are so prepared to work with us to ensure our safety as customers is an absolute plus. Highly recommend! read more

Had pizzas delivered from here to my kids birthday party at Bounce U. They cheap out on the cheese with a paper thin amount and bare spots all over the pizzas. I HATE pizza places that do that! Because they still tasted good I gave a 3 star instead of 2. read more

Incompetent wait staff, food was brutal, owner was an inconsiderate d*ck. I was there with my family and you had an obnoxious party that was screaming and cursing the whole time. We asked you to tell them to calm down at least with the swearing and you couldn't even do that. Mind you I had an 8 year old in there. The blatant disregard and disrespect was disgusting. I was under the impression this was a family establishment. In my 40 years of eating out I've never once complained about the 100's of places I've been but I will make sure my voice is heard in this situation. Just a quick tip, lose the frozen calamari rings as they are terribly tacky and bland. Put some pride in your work and cut up some mushrooms instead of pulling from a can. When a customer asks for a cup of coffee they don't mean hazelnut flavored kuirig cup. Your soda is flat, silverware dirty and waitstaff needs restraining. You should be ashamed of yourself. Overall the food is decent. Their salad is the best, hands down. It's always fresh and they have the best house dressing I've ever had. The pizza and soup are also good too. The only disappointment was that I ordered a pasta dish with marinara sauce and it was pretty lousy. It was bland and Ragu sauce in a jar was far better than that. I ordered penne w/ vodka with grilled chicken and the food came out phenomenal. The order came with a loaf of steaming, hot garlic bread in olive oil, and a plate of house salad first to start. Then, the penne vodka came and it was so fresh it was probably the best pasta I have eaten in nj. check out this place, 11/10 stars. read more

Ordered a take-out pizza from here and wasn't very impressed. The chicken was in cube form and was kind of dry. There wasn't enough hot sauce and I don't think they use blue cheese. (If they do there wasn't much of it.) For $21 i expect a little bit more love. read more

This place was great! I'm from Houston & eat out often, we have some of the best Italian restaurants here. I was in NJ for a wedding this past weekend & the rehearsal dinner was at Capuano. There were 100 people in the party & we had a 7 course meal. EVERYTHING was wonderful from the bread & appetizers, to the salad, pasta, entree, & desserts. The service was great, the servers were quick to refill water & wine & everyone was very friendly. Excellent service for a party so big! Can't wait to go back! read more

Rating Capuano's as a slice shop only. Apparently it's actually wayyyy more but I've never ventured into other options. Slices are phenomenal. They always have a large variety of options ready to complicate your ordering process. I love their romano pizza (diesel ass slices covered in chicken and mushrooms), their veggie, which has roasted squash and peppers on top, and adversely, their sausage and pepperoni deep dish. Some of the best pizza in the area and the owners and staff are very nice. The dining room also looks very nice though I've only crossed through the use the bathroom. read more

This place was our go-to pizza place for several years & think it's one of the best in the area. I noticed, though, that the pizza sauce is getting way too salty. We end up drinking gallons of water. We've also had their pasta dishes and they are pretty good. We're definitely disappointed about the salt level of the pizzas. read more

I am a frequent customer when I want delivery instead of going to one of the big chains like Dominoes. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, restaurants are not immune to this. But what most restaurants do when you make them aware of a mistake is try to make it right, not argue with a customer and lie. It is pretty obvious when a topping is missing from a pizza, I get pepperoni and garlic pizza from here frequently, and they forgot the garlic. Not a huge deal, but I wanted what I ordered. It was obvious the garlic was missing visually and from not being able to smell any garlic. On the phone the manager insisted the garlic was there, even though he didn't actually make the pie himself. The receipt said pepperoni only, the driver said pepperoni only, and every other time the garlic is visible. But today I guess they used invisible garlic. Instead of offering to make it right either with the next order or sending the right pizza today, he insists that garlic is not visible on a pizza (it has been every other time), then the garlic is under the pepperoni (it wasn't), and then back to it not being visible. It is kind of weird that this invisible garlic doesn't taste like garlic either, but what do I know right? To top it off, the deliver guy grabbed the twenty and bolted before we could even ask for change or offering, so we got to tip extra for this fun experience! We used to go there for dine in, but had bad experiences with the service and rude waiters, as you can see from a previous review but things were ok with delivery aside from the cheese sliding to one side on the way here sometimes, since it was still better than dominoes or papa johns. But after the way this was handled, I'll be trying some new places out for delivery. It isn't a matter of the food being bad, but customer care here is awful dine in or delivery. Not being as bad as dominoes or papa johns doesn't really cut it if you treat loyal customers like they're liars. read more

Ordered take out yesterday, ordered two med-rare char-grilled cheeseburgers w fries and cheesesteak w fries. Delivery driver called for address rude and nasty! Then food comes burgers a pre made frozen patties not med-rare well done and burnt fries were the ones that get stuck in the fry basket and they keep frying them and sent the fries for cheesesteak in a bag w metal tray no top and just horrible! I used to go to this place a lot about 10 years ago and it was very good then but I just visited it recently and did not have a good experience. We tried ordering our food on the phone to pick up but the person we dealt with could not speak English very well and had trouble understanding what we wanted. So we drove over to order our food in person and point to the menu what we wanted. We ordered an eggplant sandwich on their gourmet sandwich section, which was supposed to be grilled eggplant, grilled zucchini, avocado, and goat cheese on multi grain bread. They still could not understand what we wanted but finally we thought they got it. Apparently not because when we got home it was an eggplant parm sub. We also paid for our food when we ordered it and after waiting a long time for it to come out the same person that we paid before argued with us that we didn't pay for it. We had to pull out our receipt to prove it to them. The place was not busy at all so I don't understand why it was such a long wait. The owners should make sure that they have someone there who can speak English well and that knows their own menu. read more

The entre and soup I ordered was very good. The have a lot of good things on the menu it's definitely a place where it is hard to decide because everything looks so good. No trouble with the service because it wasn't crowded, waiter was friendly. They also have a lot of gluten free options which was great. We sat in a booth that was very comfortable. read more

I've been to this pizzeria 4 times now. The pizza is fantastic!!! The reason that it gets such a low rating is the guy in the back doing all the other cooking is horrible. Every time I try to order buffalo wings I always get something different. Sometimes it BBQ sometimes it's just fried wings with nothing on it... The last two times I made my order there was a hair in it somewhere. Once in the pizza and once in the wings... My opinion, fire the fry cook and buy some hair nets. read more
