I had no idea this place existed until my coworker told me about it. It's located in Sandhills, and I rarely ever go out that way, but I'll be sure to go more often just to get some solid bubble tea and crepe cakes. They offer tea flavors and desserts I haven't seen at other boba places around town, and I'm a huge fan now. I really hope they stick around. Service was very fast and friendly. There are a handful of tables and chairs, so I just took my order to go. I got a jasmine milk tea, hawthorn tea, and strawberry crepe cake. I loved that the hawthorn tea came with haw flakes bits and a freezedried hawthorn berry! Cups are adorable and thick enough to be reusable to a certain degree. Crepe cake was tasty with thin layers (like it should be) and not overly sweet or doughy. All honesty, I'm one of those people who will spend extra for cute and dainty things, because it just brings me joy. I don't think pricing is any higher than what I'd order at like Starbucks, so I'd glad spend my dollars here for the cute and dainty packaging and just to support local.

This is my second time at this location and 3rd altogether. I absolutely love this place. I have made it a mission to try all desserts they have and today, I wanted to try mochi (strawberry specifically). Now I am not sure what I was expecting when I thought of mochi, but I anticipated a little pinkish ball with strawberry flavored filling inside. When I got it, it was in a cute little box and it was white mochi. The inside was a bit hard so I had no idea what it was. When I bit into it, it was an actual strawberry! With whipped cream filling I believe. That actually made the mochi taste way better than had it have been just a flavored filling. The mochi was chewy and soft, the cream gave it the sweetness and the strawberry gave it a little bit of sweet and tart to balance all the flavors. I personally thought there was too much mochi for that one strawberry but because it was so good, I didn't mind the ratio. I do wish there was more strawberry and cream filling because that was devine. It also paired so well with my brown sugar milk tea. I always get a large with cake foam (I like it sweet because the milk tea itself isn't overly sweet), and little bit of boba pearls. The perfect dessert to end my day. The total was roughly about $12 and some change and tbh that's not bad to me for boba and handmade mochi. Please try it if you haven't. They also have a beautiful cute cafe to enjoy your treats and the staff is so nice.

I've been eyeing this place since they opened. I'm not a fan of the bubbles in any boba drink so I knew whatever I got would be minus those. I asked for a suggestion on a coffee based drink and she suggested the Dalgona latte (Price $6.59) It was good! You definitely need to mix it well to get the full taste. I would describe it as very creamy and sweet (but not too sweet.) From what I can tell it's basically whipped coffee with milk ... nonetheless I enjoyed it and would get it again.

D&Tea is a newer business in the Sandhills area. My husband is a huge fan of boba milk tea, so we tried this place and grabbed desert to go. First he ordered the mango milk tea. They were out of all the ingredients and told him they'd be restocking tomorrow. He ordered the original milk tea instead. As someone who isn't a huge fan of boba, I didn't like the tea or the taste, but my husband thought it was "pretty good" for a first try here. We also opted for two crepe desserts to go. They were out of the strawberry (as it's obviously a favorite) so we got passion fruit and mango crepes. Both were very subtly sweet. The mango had many chunks of fruit in the middle and a few on the side. By far, the mango had more flavor. It's a nice light dessert, but it didn't have a huge "wow" factor. One of our biggest issues with D&Tea was the quality of their cups. The lid kept coming off the tea. Since they filled it (excellent portions!) it was spilling all over in the car. The cat shaped lid, while cute and matching their theme, is cheap. My husband ended up wearing a lot of the spilled tea. :/ Additionally, the straw used for the drink was not large enough for drinking the boba. For a tea shop, that's a shame. Overall, it's a unique spot and a nice addition to Sandhills. It would be worth trying again for other desserts and tea flavors.

It was my first time coming here and seriously I was so excited lol The staff were all so kind and awesome. I ordered 3 crepe cake slices two matcha and 1 chocolate they were delicious reminded me of my favorite place called Lady M in Los Angeles. Very flavorful for sure. I also ordered two milk teas one with regular bubbles and the other with green tea bubbles. They came in these super cute plastic bubble tea cups. Make sure to sign up for reward points too! Parking is easy, just park anywhere in this shopping center. Tons of spots. The interior is so cute! Loved it a lot. Can't wait to be back and try more things. I'll make sure to bring some friends a long too. They will definitely do well in this area we need Moe bubble tea and dessert places like this!

Best Boba tea in the Columbia area. I have been looking for a while. Service is a little slow but it is well worth it.

Often out of menu items. It's happened for at least a month now - not sure if they are unable to meet demand or don't plan well.

Too expensive. I bought their signature drink it's in a very small cup. I'd rather drive all the way to gong cha.

JJ's Tea House has been a staple for years and I am so glad I finally got a chance to try them…read more Their pork based broth is so flavorful and perfectly balanced. Their noodles have a great texture to them and make their soups absolutely standout from the rest. The shrimp bao buns have great texture and flavor! The staff is friendly and the service is quick! I had my order to go but the interior is nice. You can tell it's a mom and pop shop and it truly feels like someone's grandmother is making the food back there. I'm looking forward to my next visit to dine in!

JJ's Tea House is one of my favorite lunch spots in Columbia! We stopped by on a Monday afternoon…read moreand it wasn't too busy. Service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--especially thanks to the owner, who is absolutely adorable and always greets guests with a big smile. I ordered the unagi rice bowl, and it was amazing. The eel was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of char--and the sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory. The steamed egg is one of my favorite sides. We also tried the crispy tofu appetizer and the popcorn chicken rice bowl. The tofu was super crispy and flavorful, though the popcorn chicken could use a touch more seasoning. To top it all off, I had a green tea with boba, and the boba was cooked perfectly as always--soft and chewy with just the right texture. Highly recommend JJ's for a cozy lunch with delicious food and friendly service!
