With about a half hour to kill between the…read morepoint we had to drop our daughter off for school and then be back in time to see her play, we didn't have too many options, and as a result called in here. I've seen the sign out on the main road (which would be easy to miss) every day as it's on my commute to work and yet I've never been in. So this worked out well. What a great hidden gem, loved this place. If you're looking for it, it is opposite the attendant-less Maxol garage, down the side of the used car place. The décor has all the hallmarks of a trendy contemporary coffee shop/deli, nothing too original, but to their credit they have distilled the design to the best elements of it and then executed the layout very well, so it's a nice place to be. The staff were great too which I love as there is little to endear a place to me more quickly than nice people working there who are nice, not through customer training but because they are just good folks!! The food when was great, a wide range of mouth-watering choices are clearly displayed across the huge menu..... which is the entire back wall of the place. It has been painted in blackboard paint and the menu chalked up in big clear writing. The prices although on the higher end of average aren't extortionate by any means so I wouldn't call it cheap eats but you get top quality food and service for just north of average price. The coffee was great, which is an essential element for me and the last thing I ate was a scone..... as we were there so early, it was freshly backed and still warm from the oven......................... so so good!

Very nice portion as well and not for an extravagant price; I fully recommend. So far the best Chinese I had on the Island ( and I lived 3 years in China) thank you very much for a delicious lunch. I will come back very very soon.

The decor is basic like any typical British cafe until you see Chinese writing hanging from the entrance to the kitchen. (see photo) I was immediately drawn to the Oriental Corner part of the menu which offered a meat choice with noodle in Soup. If you have ever had Vietnamese Pho then this would be like a Chinese version. (not as intricate as a proper Pho or with the proper noodles) I ordered the meat dumpling with noodle in soup and my friend ordered the roast pork version. We also ordered a portion of Chinese pan fried meat dumplings (this was pork and shrimp, known as Jiao Zi if you want to get technical) When the noodle / meat soup came out it looked very appetizing, was light in flavor (they give you soy and homemade chili oil to deepen the flavor to your liking) I tried both dishes and have to say the roast pork was tender and light and the dumpling was excellent. I can't believe this was only £4.50 a portion! Yes, £4.50! A crappy sandwich from a shop would cost £3.50. This is much better! The side of pan fried meat dumplings were very good although I wish the dipping sauce was a bit more interesting maybe some garlic, chili sesame seed oil or something. The staff in here are also really nice. Very friendly, warm & smile a lot. Gives the place a good vibe. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the other oriental dishes. (They do other typical cafe / British dishes as well and I may give those a try at some point also as I imagine they will have the same high quality and great prices.) I suggest you give this place a go. I for one will certainly be coming back!

This is one of those places that just "gets" good food - from the sandwiches (grilled cheese to die for) to the salads (watermelon feta & tomato !!) to the amazing pizzas to the awesome coffee and deserts there is literally nothing that I don't like. My only problem when I call in is what to choose - I could commit gluttony !! Of course everyone has a favorite so I can never leave without taking some of the deviled crab with me - it is literally one of the best things I have ever eaten in my entire life. It is amazing on crackers or in a salad and lets be honest I have been found eating it straight from the tub. The place has a really cool style and a kind of NYC vibe with a big blackboard of the days specials. I love that there is a new board up every day with the day and date so you know each day is thought out and put together fresh. They also post it on Facebook so you can check whats on. It is run by two really lovely local sisters and there is a super friendly family atmosphere in the place - when I bring my two year old nephew with me he goes straight behind the counter and gets hugs and kisses and some little treat. Next time you are on your way out to Howth make sure you stop in and see whats on offer - Definitely not to be passed by !

I think that you can really tell that the ingredients are really fresh and its refreshing to come across a deli that takes pride in making the menu more creative (they vary their menu a big everyday). The staff are warm and engaging and easy to chat with. It is small and all the seating that they have is outdoor so it's more somewhere you would go to for something on the go. They've done a lot with the small space they have and have the Italy/NYC vibe down in terms of their decor and branding. In terms of food I would recommend the pizzas and the toasties. They run promos like toasty Tuesday's where all toasties on Tuesday are a fiver. Ding dong!

Well situated out on a limb on the west coast of the Isle of Man in Dalby (10 mins drive from Peel)…read morethe Niarbyl is a stunning spot full of natural beauty. From it the coast line is stunning all the way down to the South and on a clear day you can see Ireland while also looking for basking sharks, seals and dolphins. To be here is the good life and even if the weather is awful (like it was for us), there is something amazing about the power of a storm lashing the coast! The visitor centre does good traditional pub/cafe meals - so be expecting things like Fish and chips, beef burgers, pies and the usual starters and desserts. They also do a great selection of sandwiches. My wife and myself ordered the cod and chips and it was more like whale and chips it was that big - very light batter and a taste of just by the seaside. The chips where homemade and were lovely, plus it all came with fresh (possibly homemade )mushy peas and tartare sauce. My grandma had a child's size portion of this but it was still the size of a normal portion somewhere else. My Dad decided to break the cod and chips rule by having a crab and watercress sandwich which he thought was excellent and their sandwich selection was pretty impressive with lot's of variety. All in all, lunch for 4 plus soft drinks and a tip came to £45 which isn't too bad when it came to enjoying a day out with family in a lovely unique setting!

Roast here was a choice of ham, turkey or roast beef, carved to order, and then a buffet of your typical Sunday roast accompaniments (vegetables, two types of potato, etc). The meat was good but not something that makes you stand back and say one of my best meals ever. I would say it was a very typical Sunday roast. Service is very friendly but inconsistent. It does not seem like they were really trained, they sometimes forgot tables, but they were trying hard and were quite nice. I'd love to try the restaurant on a different day, the menu seems quite interesting, and would even go back again for Sunday roast but you need to enjoy the view as much as the food.
