The staff were pretty friendly and I thought the beer selection was damn good, especially with them stocking loads of Okells (local beer) in bottles - including the big 660ml bottles (the holy grail) - I especially like their IPA (light green label) They also do quite a few lagers and good to see Sierra Nevada pale ale on tap too. Reservations are a must, and my understanding is that they book up quite quickly, and that late arrivals are frowned upon. However, it's absolutely worth the trouble. There's no dress code, jeans aren't frowned upon, though people tend to dress a bit more nicely than they might for just a walk down to the pub. The food is absolutely lovely, well-thought and absolutely delicious, and even dedicated meat-eaters will find themselves quite satisfied at the end of the meal. The menu changes seasonally. Do linger a bit and have a cup of coffee or tea after your meal, if for no other reason than to try the homemade chocolates, they're divine.
