Absolutely terrible restaurant. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. The owner had the AUDACITY to actually DEMAND more money from me and my dates after paying an almost $300 bill. AND THEN DEMANDED EVEN MORE MONEY AFTER WE LEFT, while waiting for our cab. The ABSOLUTE MOST DISGUSTING DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR EVER. And you know what this isn't, the only thing the whole entire evening it was awkward and creepy. The waitress had this creepy, fake smile plasred to her face. We were pushed to eat more food than what we could actually eat. I ended up puking afterwards because I was forced so much food the absolute sheer audacity of this restaurant I don't see how it has a 4 ratings because it is not a good environment at all. read more

Went here for the first time, great Italian food, small family run restaurant. The food was prepared very well and tasted great. The owners are father and son, they were very friendly, accommodating and great hosts. The steak was perfect with garlic mashed potatoes. Please avoid this place!! The owner clearly has some anger management issues. We did not have a reservation nor did we know we needed one. The owner did not ask if we had a reservation or if we were the reservation he mentioned to my wife. The owner initially greeted us pleasantly at the door, but as it would turn out later had confused us with someone else. Unbeknownst we were seated at a table by the owner. The server was a very nice lady, & tried her best to treat us well during the short time we stayed. Some time later it seems the actual reservation we took showed up and that's when things clearly fell apart. The owner came to our table snarling and started yelling & berating us. Telling us that this is not how things are done & this is a fine dining restaurant and you cannot just show up without a reservation. I guess he assumed he had tried to fool him and use the other person's reservation, which was not the case. We were confused by that point, but we tried to explain to him that there must have been a misunderstanding & apologized. He continued yelling further & almost seemed like he wanted to have a physical fight, as he was physically pushing me and my wife. He said that his word in final and that we cannot speak, that it! So much for the customer is always right!! We became offended by his attitude and behaviour and decided to leave, even though we had ordered food. By that time the only thing that had arrived to the table was a glass of port that my wife had ordered, but we paid for that, even thought she had not even tried it yet. That clearly irritated him further and despite other customers, we was shouting that we should stay, and that WE CANNOT LEAVE and that we should stay and enjoy. We told him that we cannot enjoy somewhere where the owner acts like this & doesn't know how to treat his customers. In fact when we first arrived, I realized that the owner was Greek and I became happy as a fellow Greek & spoke to him in Greek. Realizing he was Greek, I tried my best even during the time he was yelling at us to respect him even more given that & that the fact that he was my elder. During his verbal tirade, he in turn started swearing at me in Greek and used every rude curse word you could imagine. I told him in Greek that he was my uncle and that i didn't expect a fellow Greek to treat me like this. The long and sort of it is and from growing up in the restaurant industry, which my family was in for 50+ years, fine dining is not about the building, furniture or surroundings, but the genuine positive and welcoming environment you create for your customers. If someone is going out to a restaurant, they want to have a good meal & enjoy and have good experience & forget about there daily life, not be yelled or abused by an out of control owner. The experience in this "final dining" restaurant was clearly not that. The owner is leaving a bad legacy at a what could be a nice business, I believe the owner's son works there as well. Perhaps the owner should consider stepping aside and let the new generation take over, who might have new ideas on how to treat customers better!! read more

At all costs avoid this restaurant as there are no words for the intensity of the rudeness of the owner of this establishment. As we walked in to explore the menu in the restaurant, you enter a hallway and there was no one to greet us. So as we stood there, we decided to pick up a menu sitting on the table in the entrance. Shortly after we were greeted by the owner asking us who we thought we were, coming in and picking up his menus. We were told that we did not look like people that belonged in his restaurant (I was wearing a flannel jacket and jeans, simply coming in to see the menu), and then shouted at for even trying to apologize for coming inside and picking up a menu to enjoy the food perhaps on another day. We were told to fuck off, called names, and then followed out of the restaurant while we were told to fuck off further while walking down the street until we reached the next street corner. If I can give anyone advice, as I've been a part of the restaurant business as a chef all my life, avoid this establishment. I mean no ill intent to the chefs as I'm sure they deserve their praise, but the owner deserves to run his business into the ground with his quick temper, poor attitude and disrespect. read more

Cafe Andreou has been one of the finest restaurants in Brampton for nearly two decades. Prior to that, there were a few fine dining options, but most of those places came across as a bit aged. My family has visited for many years and we probably have a hundred visits under our belt. The owner (Chris) is always there to great you and takes a real interest in the experience of diners. When I've attended on my own or with my wife, he always asks about my family. Certainly a pleasant welcome and quite a contrast from what the other reviewer has said. The staff are courteous and very well trained. Some have worked here for years and several grew up in some of the older fine dining restaurants in town. I've actually come across some of the veterans out of town now that I've moved away. The food is always fantastic. The chef has a special talent for Mediterranean dishes, so keep an eye out for fish and octopus type offerings. I'm generally a red meat guy and I've always had fantastic steak, veal, etc. My father was a fan of the saganaki and it is the best I've had anywhere. Deserts are always nice. Coffee is great (I have it black). Good wine selection. The owner has always brought my family a nice drink to settle the night. Looking forward to return. read more

Friends took me here as I'm from out of town. I thought it was going to be an enjoyable dinner, but immediately was greeted by a pompous fellow who turned out to be the owner. When 1 of the 2 apps didn't show up & we asked about it, we were given the run around about apps only being prepared at certain times. Also, he blamed us for not ordering them properly. Fine, whatever. Main course was over priced, over salted & lacklustre. After feeling like asking for the missing app was taken as a complaint, I didn't say anything about the meal as to not have my head chewed off, even when the owner adjusted my utensils mid meal. On to dessert. We again were shorted- this time an Oreo cheesecake. I had to speak up, obviously. The owner threw his hands up in disgust & called over the pantry chef to question what was ordered. Again accusing us of not ordering appropriately. Even after it was sorted out he came back upset with us. I will not go back here or recommend this place to anyone. PERIOD. I'm almost as salty as the food. read more

The food was great. Been going for over 14 years and have always had great food and service. Last night, was the worst experience of my life. I was talking to my husband and said I was excited to eat my fish. The waitress, who was amazing, came to me and said I ordered the veal. She went to the kitchen to see if something could be done. Meanwhile, the owner comes strolling in hands in the air and heads straight to our table and starts yelling at me. He shouted and said in 40 years I have never seen someone make a mistake and said what do you want me to do about it. He could've approached it a better way. When he left I ran to the bathroom and cried. My husbantd continued to speak to the owner and let him know what that his approach was innapropriate. I came back to the table and he never apologized. I will never be going back and my family won't as well. We've brought so many family and friends to this restaurant and they will never go back as well. He has lost our business. It's unfortunate because the food is amazing. Hats off to the chef but I will never go back because your father is disrespectful and degrading to women. read more

Cafe Andreou has a wonderfully intimate setting. The food is great, especially their soup features which are always changing. The owner is very attentive and charismatic, adding a delightfully fresh addition to the dinning experience! I've been there 5 times and never disappointed! Reservations are recommended. read more
