This is a great place and a must if you are in McCall! They serve breakfast & lunch items and are open until 2pm (ish). Most all of their stuff is made in-house or local (breads) Been there for breakfast before and got the quiche and it was delicious. This time I get the ham sandwich and it was served with kettle chips and a house salad. Salad was fantastic, not just lettuce and a few croutons, look at my pics to see what I mean. The sandwich was super fresh, very flavorful, plenty of meat and you could tell they made it with care. Staff is super friendly and this is a fun little place with some shirts & memorabilia to sell too. I highly recommend this place!

We originally planned to go to The Pancake House but found out they were closed. Not finding too many other breakfast options, we decided to stop in here for a quick bite. The decor is neat and the food was simple. Not massive portions, but definitely the amount I SHOULD be eating (satisfied, but not stuffed). The eggs were plain but good with some added salt and pepper. The shining star of the meal was the potato bread which was very much like a sourdough. The only part I really didn't care for was the bacon. It was very thin and kind of chewy, sort of like what you'd get at a continental breakfast. A little more fruit would also round out the meal a bit better in my opinion. For a quick simple bite, it was good and I'd recommend it. If you're looking for more of a crave worthy breakfast, you'll probably want to go elsewhere. UPDATE: I received a note from who I assume was the owner of this establishment in response to my review above. I was informed that the reason for my experience was that I ordered the "simplest and cheapest" dish on their menu and the reason the bacon was not "up to [my] standards" was because they do not fry their food. I want to be clear that review of the bacon as thin and chewy was due to the quality and thickness of the meat - not the cooking style. My review was based on my honest opinion of a dish offered on their menu. For a restaurant to claim that a review of their establishment is not reflective of their business because you ordered the "simplest and cheapest" item on the menu does not make much sense. I stand by my review of the food itself; however, if I WERE to revise it, it would be to remove a star due to the tone of the response I received (which is a shame because I actually found them to be pleasant while we were there). Unfortunately, my overall experience has been soured and I won't be returning any time soon.

We visited for lunch during the winter festival. I was excited to try this restaurant as they had some plant-based options. I got the tempeh sandwich with yummy sauce. The sandwich itself was fresh but the flavors were not very developed, the tempeh did not appear to have been marinated or seasoned. My husband had one of their wraps, said it was average, and our kids had the flatbread pizza and liked it. The portions weren't too big by American standards. Service was good. The place is nice and clean.

My goodness this place is great. Service was helpful and friendly. The 208 sandwich with ham was so fresh and delicious . Not sure what the salad dressing was but I loved it. Light and flavorful. My husband had the wrap and didn't talk once as he was too busy eating. He loved it. Atmosphere is cozy and rustic.

Where have you been my whole life!? This place has the best brunch in town. It's a cafe/coffee shop. Walk up and order, (grab your own seats) they have a food menu and coffee/drink menu. We got the idaho waffle and huevos corn rancheros and omg I haven't had anything this good in a while! Took a little bit to get it but as soon as you see it you know it's all made fresh from scratch! The idaho waffle had hash browns in it, topped w sausage and two eggs, finished w house gravy. The huevos had a fluffy corn waffle topped w black beans, avocados, eggs and some delicious sauce. Also the strawberry mimosa was great! Can't wait to be back!

The food at Cafe 6 three 4 was amazing! We loved our sandwiches, I had the cabin fever and I'd definitely order it again next time! The atmosphere was fun and casual, I had my 3month old with us and I felt totally comfortable! We got our food pretty quick and the cashier was sweet!

The vibe people! My breakfast bowl was legit. Not too greasy, quality ingredients, and they brought it to me in less than 5 minutes with a packed out. The drip coffee was solid. I'll be back when I bring the fam next time. Great spot for this Californian!

We love that more local restaurants are opening up in McCall and this family restaurant did not disappoint. The Cafe offers breakfast and lunch and has a nice selection of options. The Cafe is easy to find on the main road into town and is a repurposed gas station (it looks like). The vibe and style of the the Cafe is inviting and unique...with food options that match. The staff were all very friendly and the cute dog outside made the visit very pleasant. We ordered a few canned drinks from their fridge of local drinks to accompany our lunch which was refreshing on a hot day. I ordered the the Pulled Pork Sandwich that was served with a bag of chips. The sandwich was served hot which was a great start. The pork was good. Nothing that wowed me....the slaw and bbq sauce were great touches and tasted good. My wife ordered the Turkey Sandwich. She mentioned that the turkey was actually sliced turkey and not deli slices which was very flavorful and juicy. The bread and Brie were super yummy she said. The sandwich was put together perfectly and all the flavors worked very well. If you are looking for a tasty sandwich from a local joint, you cannot go wrong here. Cheers Always!!

Be prepared to wait at least an hour. The staff was rude when we asked about our food after 40 minutes and said "it will be ready when it's ready". They didn't warn of the wait prior to ordering. read more

Don't be fooled by the cute ambiance of this place. I ordered a croissant, it was so stale I could hardly eat it. My husband ordered a chicken bowl that took almost 40 minutes to be brought out. When he inquired about it the little blonde cashier girl threw her hands up in the air and said "we are super behind" in such an annoyed tone that my husband actually apologized to her for asking. For reference there were only about four other people in there at the time, what a joke. Our money would have been better spent at a McDonald's drive through. read more

Had the Yummy Bowl which was awesome... my wife had the (big) house salad and another person had the Naan Believer Salad, both were great. Friends had the ham sandwich which had enough ham on it which is rare these days:) Probably the best place in town for lunch. read more

First timer: I liked everything about this cozy lil restaurant. The staff was so friendly, especially the owners Mom who checked on us and stayed a bit to visit. I met some friends from out of state that own property in Tamarack that I had not seen in years! Soo fun! Now for the coffee and food both breakfast dishes where delish and prepared healthy! Been wanting to come here for a while but they're open very limited hours and only 4 days a week. Showed up one minute before 11 and couldn't get breakfast as breakfast ended at 11 and apparently we were too late? We actually walked out the door but came back in and ordered lunch. My coffee drink didn't taste good and rather than remaking it for me they told me they could add a shot of espresso for and extra 50 cents. My rice and chicken bowl was good enough. My husband ordered the sandwich that came with Naan bread because he wanted the Naan. When it came out it was on ciabata. When asked they said they don't make that sandwich on Naan bread anymore. They fixed the sandwich and it was soooo small. It will be a while before we try this one again. read more

The service is marginal and the coffee is not very good. The food is good but the portions are very small and not really remarkable. This is the place if you like slow mediocre service be prepared to wait for a while. read more

It was a quiet Sunday morning. The menu looked great. I ordered the Idaho waffle (shredded potato with gruyere topped with sausage and rosemary gravy). It took quite a while for my order to be ready and I asked for it to go so I could eat at my hotel 5 minutes away. That was not a good idea. The potatoes were soggy and cold. I couldn't detect cheese at all. The gravy was under seasoned and tasted like floury milk with way too much dried rosemary. The sausage was good. I would try this place again so I could eat my food right away and add seasoning if needed. read more

On top of the bad experience walking into this place the owner actually messaged me in a rude tone after posting this review. I see other reviews stating the employees are rude as well and the owner messaging reviewers rudely so I'm not the only one feeling this way.... Maybe tell your employees to throw a smile on its free & don't bring your problems to work if that's your excuse for bad service. The owner ended it with a snarky "Have a good day. " which I laughed at but yes you are a good representation of your business good on ya! read more

Food texture was like it was nuked.Sausage wasn't real sausage,gravy was so so ,potatoes waffle was disgusting.Worst breakfast I think I've ever had,I wouldn't throw the scaps out for a skunk to eat( that would be animal cruelty).Great looking place but omg that was not real food let alone a real breakfast.. I'm still pissed about what they called a sausage patty, maybe it was meatless or turkey but whatever it was it was cooked till brown.. The price for this fancy crap was unreal..go across the street to miners for a real breakfast.. read more

One of the locals suggested this place to us as a quieter choice over the downtown patio restaurants and WE FELL IN LOVE!!! This cafe is nestled on a quiet side street near downtown, has a sweet covered patio on the side, seating inside, and THE BEST FOOD we ate in our entire McCall visit. The next time we visit our favorite mountain town, Cafe 6 three 4 will be our mainstay for breakfast or lunch. Simple menu, great food, friendly service, no constant stream of cars driving by. read more

Delicious Big J-Dub breakfast burrito! It has rosemary gravy inside the burrito which gives it so much flavor. The potato waffle inside made it really interesting, too. And the sausage had great flavor. We gobbled this thing up in no time, very tasty. read more

Interesting little breakfast place. Attentive staff. Bohemian type menu. Probably good with coffee but awful with tea. As often happens, refills for coffee and really weak tea. Inadequate amount tea for the pot let alone the pot and large cup. Ended up with undrinkable colored water. Limited tea selection and other than Earl Gray no black teas. Silverware in a bucket on the table only had spoons. I had to hunt for a fork from another table. No knife so I just used the fork to get jam on the bread. Crusty pieces of French bread which I wish had been toasted. I had Smiley Lane. I liked it was a lighter breakfast. read more

Food is delicious, healthy and fresh! Have enjoyed eating here twice over the past two years. Unfortunately had to wait 55 minutes to get our food this time. Understand that everywhere is struggling to hire staff, just would have appreciated the staff to provide an ETA when ordering so we could have left and come back rather than hungrily waiting around. read more

Took about 20 minutes for our family's order and our order to be served. We were concerned about food safety and were met with the most unbelievable attitude and rudeness I have ever experienced. We tried to express our concern for paying for food that was questionable and not wanting to get sick. We were told that we were already given our money back (nope, that was our family that ordered before us) and continued to argue with us that we ordered drinks (we had not). The cashier only gave us back $14 of our $38 order and when we reminded again the amount for our entire order (no drinks) the cashier threw the cash at my husband. Unbelievable. Take ownership and accountability for your lack of food safety, kitchen cleanliness, and customer service. I would not ever recommend this place for food safety, refund dishonesty, and how they treat their paying customers. Walked across the street to Stax sandwich shop and it was night and day difference!

We made a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday, and honestly, they weren't packed (they still had plenty of tables open). When we arrived there was no one at the host stand, and when they came they didn't check us in right away. Once we confirmed the reservation it took about 10 minutes for us to be seated, and there was a couple that came after us that had a reservation at the same time and were seated before us (okay, no big deal). We did get a window seat, which was nice. But this is supposed to be an upper scale restaurant in the area, and the silverware we were given was dirty, so not a great start. The server came to take our order, we ordered mocktails and a huckleberry lemon drop as well as the bread basket and the cured meat and cheese plate- compared to the Cutwater, honestly, no comparison. The teens didn't even drink the mocktail (which the server did take off the bill, and that was nice) and the lemon drop was okay. The bread basket and meat plate were fine, but we wouldn't order them again. My son ordered the 12oz ribeye (which was nearly 60.00) and I would say at least 50% of it was fat, and his was overcooked. I ordered the flat iron, and mine was undercooked, so he ended up eating mine. The herb roasted potatoes needed seasoning and felt like something they simply tossed on the plate. My daughter's Caesar salad was as expected to a side salad. Our server never came to check on us after the food was brought out, and we waited for her to return after we were done with the food for nearly 20 minutes. Overall we were disappointed and not truly certain why this place is recommended above other similar places in town. Very expensive, seems like it is trying to be upscale or more "fine-dining" but it missed the mark for us.

(not bad enough to knock off a star). - while everyone else liked the crust one kid did not, it was thinner and had a different texture (less "bready") than other pizza places, e.g. Papa John's.
