At first, I was a bit horrified when I saw them pumping two shots of syrup into it as I never put sugar in my drinks, but it turned out perfectly. The drink was only slightly sweet with a really pleasant, subtle lavender flavor. It did cost $7, but overall it was a very tasty drink that I thoroughly enjoyed. They have a lot of unique-looking specialty drinks on the menu, so I definitely look forward to going back and trying more. The shop itself is located in a really cute town. It was raining and we were running late, so we didn't get a chance to walk around, but I can't wait to return when the weather is nicer to explore the area and grab another coffee.

Upon entry the barista remembered my friend and she was so kind with helping me make a latte and pastry selection! As we waited, I perused the store and noticed they had merchandise that included Scout coffee beans made in house, greeting cards, Christmas ornaments and decor, sweatshirts and mugs. They had a pretty large menu lots of seating and my friend shared they have poetry and evening events. The ladies working were super friendly and my latte was perfect!

I've Been wanting to check out Mazur Chocolate and Coffee and was excited to see something like…read morethis so close to home. Finally stopped in this Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and heart packed into this small, eclectic shop. I ordered the butterfly tea, and it was perfection; light, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweetness. My husband had a coffee and gave it his full approval, which says a lot since we're used to bringing back premium coffee beans and chocolate from Cartagena, Colombia during his business trips. So yes, our taste buds are very spoiled. Our daughter was the only one who got her hands on the chocolate Bar we purchased, and let's just say... she devoured it within the day. Her exact words? "Best chocolate I've ever had." So yeah, that bar never stood a chance. While waiting for our drinks, we were treated to samples; mango lassi and lentil soup, both incredibly delicious and culturally authentic. The lentil soup, in particular, had me considering a second round, even though we had stopped in after brunch and I had no business eating more food. The vibe in the shop is a little visually chaotic (the decor doesn't follow a strong theme), but it adds a kind of quirky charm. There was even a setup for a live band, which is wild considering how petite the space is....but I'm here for the ambition! You can also see the chocolatier through a glass window, which added a fun behind-the-scenes feel to the experience. The woman handing out samples was warm and welcoming, and the young lady taking orders was all business, but still kind and efficient. All in all, Mazur is a charming little spot for anyone who truly appreciates high-quality chocolate, great drinks, and a few surprises along the way. We'll definitely be back.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, we arrived at noon on Thursday, breakfast ended at 11am and so we pivoted to lunch items that included a Boars Head cheesesteak, chips and pickle plus a really tasty cheeseburger . As we were leaving, my husband decided on a large chocolate peanut butter milkshake which he deemed awesome. (Thanks Todd for stepping in and making one) We stopped at our pre planned list of farm stands and headed home. Very next day, Friday, up at dawn to get a few chores out of the way so we could head out to Gronsky's for the day #2 breakfast deadline! I prefer sitting at the counter and watching their magician, Tyler, assemble the food for orders, crack open the eggs, drop the pancake batter in the proper corner and keep all meats aligned for the plates. He's the king of that kitchen and each one of those servers is the queen doing the hustle, bustle, slide to the left, back up and move forward like square dancers on the move. From the Taylor ham, provolone and fried egg sandwich on that FRESH Kaiser roll to the omelette with those delicious home fries and my PEACH PANCAKE . . . . all of it was their special take on breakfast served their way. Almost 50 years, folks! Prices are absolutely reasonable for how the food is prepared and presented, quality ingredients cooked according to diners' specifications. What more can you ask for? I call them at 5:50 am (Bagels come out at 3 & 4:30am -at least that's what I can tell) and by 6:05 my order is ready to be picked up. Its hard to find quality food in Hunterdon and Warren County, the small shops are mostly all gone or being run by money hungry, penny pinching owners (the ones that use stock cheese on your food bc it costs 2 pennies less) - you wont find any of that here. Prices when i first started going was about $10 got a breakfast sandwich, 3 bagels and a coffee; now it's closer to $15. Service is what you expect in a loud, busy, crowded and most of the time - Hot (the ovens are 12 feet from you) place. You need to speak up when they ask "who's next" but they're attentive and write down your order; in 12 years of coming here, the only time they messed up my order (they put cheese when I said no cheese) they gave me the extra sandwich and told me to give it away to someone. I used to work at a bagel shop and the amount of food we'd throw away because of a screwed up order would tear my heart open; at least Muheisen's doesn't do this.
