Our daughter flipped her car in a small mountain town. She was okay but her car was upside down, in a creek wedged between trees. Chris and a second person ( can't remember his name) were so sweet and professional. They were able to get her car out and recognized how upset she was. When I called them to ask where they were after two and a half hours was when they told me they had cancelled me.They then told me they would put me back on the rotation to be picked up and would be there in 60-90 minutes. Absolutely terrible experience with CAF Wrecker. They were dispatched through my roadside assistance provider at 3:45 PM, and we were told the tow truck would arrive within 60 minutes. Instead, they didn't arrive until 7:09 PM. The biggest issue was the complete lack of communication. They never called or texted us with a single update. Every time we wanted to know what was going on, we had to call them ourselves. Each time we called, we were told, "30 more minutes," then later, "60 more minutes," only for the wait to continue. We were repeatedly given inaccurate arrival times while stranded on the side of the road and it's literally 100 degrees outside! I understand that delays can happen, but there is no excuse for leaving customers waiting for hours without proactively communicating or providing honest, accurate updates. This was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've ever had. Based on my experience, I would never use this company again, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. Sunday afternoon coming back from having lunch in Hickory about 2pm the wrecker driver wouldn't get out of the left lane to let cars go on, which may have been running 70, 75 and when he did get over this older man gave us the middle finger. Fri, July 4th 2025 Some guy called me on Thursday afternoon late and said "I'm on my way to pick up you and your car." I said "I'm not with my car. The accident was yesterday. I'm at home- the car is at Triple B Towing, (Great place, BTW) and they are probably closed." It was about 6pm and they close at 5pm. It went downhill from there. He said, "I'm supposed to pick up your car and that's where I'm going." I was confused- I said, "Who is this?" He said, "J.J." "Who are you with?" He said, "Caf (Towing) I said, "It's probably locked up behind the fence." He was getting agitated and ugly. He started saying I was giving him a hard time. I was just asking questions. I was still trying to figure out what was going on. He was getting rude and giving me a hard time. He finally said, " The insurance lady said I was supposed to take your car to K&M Collision." I said, "OK, but Triple B is probably closed" He said , "Well, I'm still going over there. I've had about enough of you. You've done nothing but give me a hard time"! He didn't say anything else for about 5 seconds. I thought he had hung up and I guess he thought maybe I had too, and then he said, "F*cking D*ck Head" I said, "EXCUSE ME?" He said in an angry voice, "I didn't stutter! The conversation pretty much ended there. I went to Triple B Towing the next day (Fri-Fourth of July) to see if my car was still there. Chad, the owner, said Caf Towing had just left with it and was probably taking it to their lot, as K&M was closed for July 4th and the weekend, and Caf Towing's lot was fenced but didn't have a gate, just a big hole. I drove over there and didn't see my car so I went over to K&M Collision, who has a gated, secure lot, which was locked, and he had unloaded my car in the front parking lot! He moved my car from a secured area to the totally open front parking lot of a business that will be closed for 3 days!! I will never let these people near another vehicle of mine. If you are anywhere near Hickory and need a tow, I recommend Triple B Towing LLC. They are friendly, respectful, helpful and good folks! 828-291-3382. read more

It took longer with my insurance agent than it took the wrecker to get to me. It was a lockout. He was super quick!!! Very polite young man!!! Wish I could remember his name. He was very professional and would highly recommend this service!!! Price was great considering we were in a larger city. A+++ service!!! read more

If I could give these people NO STARS I would. I do not recommend you ever call these people!! You will be stranded FOREVER!!! They'll tell you AND your insurance company 20mins which means you will be waiting INDEFINITELY!!!! HOURS will pass without them showing up. They work hard at coming up with excuses and have an attitude when you ask them for direct answers, but getting to you, not important. If your insurance company dispatches them(hickory location) to you... CANCEL IT IMMEDIATELY and request a different tow company!!! After 3 hours of waiting and being told "20 mins" for an hour and 15 mins of that i got on the phone with them and asked for an APPROXIMATE time. The lady responded, "I just spoke with our driver and told him to get to you asap" I then asked "how long does ASAP mean, 4 hours? I just want to know approximately how long" she responded, Noooo! Hes on his way. Do you want him to get into an accident and die!" I actually just expect honesty. Dont beat around the bush. Dont lie. If there are multiple calls ahead of me, TELL ME!!! But do not tell me, " hes driving slow because the roads have ice on them and hes coming from the hickory location." Ok, 25 minute ride... but after 3 hrs how slow is that?
