This location is always busy, especially with online orders, which slows things down. It takes a bit just to order at the counter. The employees are friendly, but they're so focused on online orders that you don't get their full attention. My husband waited at the soup station for a while without being acknowledged by the employee standing there doing online orders, until the manager finally helped him--pretty frustrating since he worked at Zupas and knows that's not how it's supposed to work. The Dubai chocolate strawberries are amazing and worth the splurge. Tried the strawberries & cream today and I'd skip that one. My go-to is the Ultimate Grilled Cheese on wheat bread with the Chipotle Glazed Salad--always good. Stopped by Zupas while my nieces were in town because they love it! I decided to try one of their bowls and let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. I have my go to's at places like this, but this decision to mix it up was VERY worthwhile. The combo of textures, sweet and spicy, and colors was on point! I like the little kick this had, as I am pretty wimpy when it comes to spiciness. My server was excellent. Oh this is a bad place. Unfortunately, I work super close to Zupa's so we get this catered OFTEN. That being said I have given it just so many chances. I'm sad to say it's never been actually good. I've never eaten at the restaurant and maybe that's a totally different story but man. Anyway, here's a couple photos of the last meal I had from this Zupa's. I used to be a big fan of Zupas but I no longer am. I feel like the last year or so, they have gone downhill with quality and their portion size is a lot smaller. I was in the area and needed a quick lunch. I ordered a to-go order of a try two combo. I got the Wisconsin cauliflower soup and the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. The service was good but did feel rushed (it was lunch hour). My meal was a little over $11. I live about 10 minutes away so I took my food home and was impressed with the temperature - everything was still warm. The soup was very watery. It didn't have a ton of flavor and almost tasted like it was missing something. I had to add some seasonings to make it have more flavor. I used to love this soup but was surprised with how watery it was and tasted. The sandwich was sad. It didn't have any hardly meat on it and just was so small! It was also a little messy in the wrapper and squished all over. I remember that they used to really make their sandwiches full like their menu boards but this wasn't like that at all. The flavor was fine but I definitely could of had more meat and veggies. Overall, it was a less than average experience. It's been a couple of years so we decided to give this Zupas location another shot. Sadly, it might be another couple of years till we go back again. Lines were long for some reason but the service was incredibly slow. Food was piling up at the register with no clue which food belonged to which customers. Food got cold while they went down the lines multiple times asking people what they'd ordered, fixing incorrect orders etc. The sandwich sizes have clearly been reduced too and multiple people in our party commented on that. The salad was decent and the dessert possibly the best part of the entire visit but tables were sticky, every single drink we tried from the dispenser (4 different attempts) were flat and out of syrup. Kids got Mac and cheese which was like watery soup and tasted really off. Ended up throwing it out. Overall, sadly, just really disappointing. read more

Prices are unreal. The Try Two used to be $9.99, when I went this past week, I paid $18 for my meal. I understand inflation and the pandemic having an adverse effect on price, but Zupas has completely sold out. I used to love Zupas years ago, but then they decided to change some recipes and remove items that I really liked, so I never would go. I went last week for a friends birthday and found that I do like their Honey Bacon Club sandwich and was able to make a custom salad with their poppyseed dressing. I love zupas! The nuts about berries salad is my go to! It is sweet and crunchy and just delicious. I'm not a soup person but have heard lots of good things. Also all of their desserts have been absolutely worthwhile. I do wish their portion sizes were bigger, but they are decent for the price. They always give a chocolate covered strawberry with each meal, but lately I've gotten green strawberries and it seems their quality control has gone down with other fruits and lettuce. Two seperate reviews of great customer service: Experience 1: I went to pick up an order for teacher appreciation week at school, seven orders. Unfortunately it had been ordered for the previous day so it was ready when I arrived. That didn't phase the staff, I gave them my phone with the orders and they had it plated and ready to go in mere minutes. They were friendly and kind and apologized over and over even though it wasn't them that had messed up the order date. Experience 2: Went in 2 weeks after the above story, the guy behind the counter recognized me and greeted me. This cafe offers an array of soups, small sandwiches, protein bowls and salads. Pros- I like the option to order half or whole size portions. The half salad is small (coming in at about $5) but the turkey avacado one had a nice variety of greens. They throw in a roll and a chocolate dipped strawberry with every soup or salad order. I don't care for the rolls, but for people that like white bread, now you know it's included. They variety is nice. They offer a dozen types of sandwiches, many protein bowl combos and several soups. Cons- Portions are small, especially considering the prices. For example, the turkey club sandwich on wheat bread is TINY and $6.50 The cheese is melted, but there is very little meat. Also, my salad had about 4 small cubes of chicken, which is disappointing. The rocky road brownie is average. They sprinkled a few nuts on top. I am impressed with their seasonal Pumpkin soup. It had a lovely fall squash base flavor, pieces of fresh tomato in the mix and a punch of spice. I typically love the seasonal salads as well. My complaint is just the menus. They look cleaner and prettier, except they are missing their descriptions now. the pictures are too small to guess what comes on each dish. How am I supposed to order if I don't know what's on it? I usually have time in line to mull over what toppings or sandwich fillers I am feeling that day, but now I have to hold up the line asking the sweet employee trying to take my order. Some friends took me here for lunch, and I'm so glad to have this on my go-to restaurant list! The chicken enchilada chili was the perfect meal for a cold, rainy day. Flavorful, rich, and textured, with a pleasantly mild spice. I had that in combination with the Thai steak salad, which was very tasty, but not the spectacular winner that was the soup. The employee that first greeted me at the salad station had a great energy, and he gave easy guidance on gluten-free options. He definitely knew his stuff! Terrible experience yesterday Dec 7th. The food was served cold. Soup and sandwich and the steak Cobb salad was absolutely skimpy---they don't make an appetizing salad anymore. They must train their people to count out every little bit of tomato and other veggies--the person prepping counted them out and removed one when put on by mistake Incredible. Ordered a soda and asked for separate water cup. Was told they were out due to shipping problems but that I could "buy" another soda cup. I'm sorry. This is just plain ridiculous. I spoke to the manager and he reiterated what the poor gal at the register had been told to say. He said I couldn't have the soda cup without paying because they cost money. News Flash--so do the little water cups that you ran out of. He is either not bright enough or not resourceful enough to go to Costco with a $20 bill and buy water cups. My family and I come to this zupas often and I have never been treated so poorly. A gentlemen named Mario was so incredibly impatient with me yesterday, that he told me I needed to keep moving through the line before I could finish ordering. I asked for certain extra toppings to be placed in a side cup, and for some reason, that really through everything off. He stopped what he was doing and tried to get help. When he couldn't find any, he moved on to someone else's order. I said "I still need those sides, there for my 11 month old son," and he said "you can get it later, move through the line." They bring up my salad and all of the sides I asked for were in the salad. I said that isn't what I asked for , and he said "is it really that big a deal?".... Zupa's is a haven for comfort food. If you go once, you'll learn to crave the rich flavors of the lobster bisque. Or perhaps the freshly cut vegetables in fruits in their pleasantly clashing flavors. However, it is not a place for fanciful high dining. Rather, a place to catch up with an acquaintance, or to go out for a casual lunch or dinner amongst colleagues. Typically, I'll always order the lobster bisque. They do an amazing job with the creaminess of it. Oddly enough, I'll find myself craving it on odd nights. However, it is not appropriate for a hot summer day so I went for the large mango berry salad. The dressing that is included in this salad is just splendid, and quite frankly addicting. I could not recommend it more. There is a certain sweet crunchiness that is added to the salad due to the candied walnuts. Whoever designs these salads give an abundance of attention to how the flavors interact together. Although salads typically fail to satiate my hunger, I am always left satisfied. I have never found the sandwiches to be anything special. The bread and the contents within are easily outclassed by competitors such as Kneaders. But what they do right, they do very well. In my opinion, for the price of the salads and soups that Zupa's offers, you just can't go wrong. As most chain restaurants are, you'll find a lack of attention to detail in the cuisine itself. However, it is not to be expected as quick and fast delivery is preferred in this kind of environment. I wish there was greater attention given in the aesthetic look that the food comes in. A half second more of where certain fruits and vegetables are tossed would create a greater experience for every customer. However, this is a small matter. Unfortunately, the lack of attention also comes in the cleaning. I hate to see even a crumb on the seats or tables. However, the seats of the booth I occupied was littered with an array of crumbs. In other words, don't expect the restaurant to be treated like one of luxury. Rather, fast food. All and all, I am pleased with my experience at this establishment. The decor reminds me of a cross between club and Internet cafe, with power plug-ins and Internet terminals in the center of the restaurant. The lights' colors are bright and cheery and the walls are painted in more soothing earth tones. I found this is already a favorite of my family. I tried the Lobster bisque and was impressed. However, my daughter gave me some of her Wild Mushroom Bisque and it was easily the best I have ever had. The tomato soup is quite sophisticated betraying its usual humble flavor. The soups are all seasoned in a way that makes your taste buds perk up and say wow. It reminds me of the difference of your run-of-the-mill Chinese food take out and PF Changs. The grilled panini sandwiches are also very good. I tried the Boston Crab Melt (I was in a seafood mood), and it was good, but many others looked even better. The bread is thinner than I've had in other similar sandwiches and doesn't hide the taste of the fillings. Think of it as a tasty, crispy, chewy handle that helps you gobble the sandwich down without getting it all over you or being overly filling. My family members raved over the salads which looked amazing, but alas, I chose to go with soup and sandwich only. The deserts also looked amazing. It was my first time coming back to Zupas in a while. The last time I came, the workers were super rude. But, I went for a friend's birthday and I asked for a turkey avocado club with no cheese. The workers only gave me a sandwich bun (the wrong one I ordered) with tomato and lettuce. That was it. After I paid, I realized that there were literally only two things on there, so I asked the workers where my turkey, bacon, and avocado were, to which they replied, "Oh sorry, we're out." The enchilada soup was ok, the bacon/turkey sandwich must have been microwaved with very little inside the bread, soggy with small portions. I try not to bag on restaurants, I know how hard it can be to work in fast/upscale food but this location is not good. The dining area was also very cluttered with 13 of 29 tables having dirty dishes/paper/utensils still on the tables. Non of that changed the 15 minutes I was there for our order. I don't usually count tables, but there were so many dirty tables, I was curious to see how many of the total tables were not cleaned.
