Mo Y.

I tried this restaurant several times and it has been great every time. Delicious homemade style dishes. Great friendly service and very clean restaurant with lots of easy parking. Absolutely the best Yemeni Restaurant in the State.

Chicken was so perfectly cooked and seasoned. I really enjoyed it. The server did warn me that the bread didn't go with this meal, because it came with rice. but I really wanted to try the bread. Which was delicious. I ended up not eating the rice, because putting the chicken on the bread and using the sauces that came with the chicken was just too good. I got their house tea and it was really great. This place just opened up, and I highly recommend giving it a go.

The important part is that the Yemeni food is delicious and the hosts are as welcoming as if they've invited you into their own home kitchen.

Now, they close at 7 but was able to call in an order at 6:30 and pick it up just before close. When I called, they said they are happy to accommodate late orders (as his flight was delayed) but the kitchen appreciates a minimum of 30 mins before closing to ensure the best possible quality and be able to close the kitchen in a timely manner. Absolutely understandable and respected. They know what they are doing. As always going in to pick up my order was a pleasure as everyone is always happy, relaxed and happy to help you have your best experience. Everything is so neat and tidy!! We got 4 orders of Cod and Chips, a salad, and and extra cod piece plus an order of shrimp tacos... and when I tell you everything was still crisp and piping hot after making the 20min drive back home, it absolutely blew my mind! Everything was hot and delicious, not quite sure how they were able to accomplish that but I'm certainly glad they did. This is forever my go to for hot fresh fish and chips in the greater Seattle area!! Go check them out!!

In my previous review I admitted that it wasn't my favorite kind of fried fish. This time I ordered fried shrimp with the optional salad. Six large shrimp with a large salad. Wonderful. I'm originally from New Orleans so good fried shrimp makes me feel happy. The inside can be a bit loud. An Asian woman sitting near us gave my friend a dirty look because he was talking loudly so I could hear him! We moved outside for a beer and more conversation and this is where we will eat next time. I have to add how personable the staff and owners are. They stopped by our table several times and we enjoyed conversations. We definitely will include Salty Blue in our lunch rotation in the future. My friend enjoyed his fish and chips.

The service here was terrific for us. They even educated us on some of the differences between Pakistani and Indian cuisine. It was a carry-out only for us. The food was hit or miss with me. The Biryani was alright but nothing I would ever order. What I sampled was way too spicy for me and just not my flavour. The kabob were some of the best I've tasted in this city, especially the lamb. Top notch. The Lamb Nihari was very tender, as was the Keema (with peas). The star of the show today was the Haleem. Call it a Pakistani porridge consisting of slow cooked spiced mutton, lentils and barley. A true delicacy! The place is quite pricey, even for the Seattle area. The portions are larger. Just know in advance you might want to share or count on leftovers for tomorrow's lunch! 06/25

I don't think I've had anything that was meh at this location and this spot gets very busy, but despite that you will get a buzzer to let you know when you come get your food or if you did an online order then there is a section where you can tell them your name and they will usually have it ready for you. The staff here are very friendly and helpful in assisting customers. They are also bilingual so you can speak Tagalog or English! There is quite a bit of seating from solo, couples, and family seating. The most recent visit, I noticed they didn't have tables and chairs at the front but they also are doing a FFXIV collab so they were probably really busy. Speaking of the FFXIV collab, this location had the limited drink and it was pretty good. It does just taste like a watered down Gatorade but I did enjoy the crystal boba and they included a generous serving of it. I also appreciate that FFXIV themed buckets, boxes, and cups are only given to those who order the FFXIV items so that way people who actually want them get them.

You know a place is good when you walk by it and almost every time you can count on a line of people extending out of the store and into the mall. That describes this Restaurant 100%. Long lines, but they do a great job of getting people through and waiting on the next in line. They have a couple of dining room attendance who keep things spotless. As soon as the table is cleared, they are quickly over there cleaning up any trash and wiping everything down. Seating is at a premium. I ordered a two piece chicken,Joy with one side and a drink. The mashed potatoes were a great surprise. They had chunks of real potato in there, and they were really good. The chicken was crispy without being greasy and delicious. The star of the show, though was the peach mango pie. Incredible. If you haven't tried it before it is a must have. Great overall experience and highly recommended.

We did get service, but it was extremely minimal. They didnt check on us at all, and we sat around for quite awhile waiting for someone to come by to get us our bill/clear the table. It definitely felt like we were being segregated against, as we were the only East Asian party there. :c We did really enjoy the food. Flavors were on point.
