I went with great expectations and was welcomed with a delicious smell!! The smell of fresh pastries baking. I was so excited to try the concha of the month (they change the flavors as one of the options and it's a filled concha) which was Guayaba Con Queso Bola!! I was seated and ordered a Mexican ice coffee and the concha. Was told the concha would be out in 10min and nothing happened. The oven opens into the dinning room and an employee who was getting off work got some of the fresh conchas and left for the day. Shortly after my waiter left for the day. I asked another waiter when my concha would come out and he said 11min. I waited and asked again and he said 10 more minutes, so I paid for my coffee and left. Moral of the story, try in the morning as they may have a larger selection. Once I try the food I will update my review. read more

This review is only for the pan de elote (corn bread) and pan de chocochip (chocolate chip bread), which we ordered to go to have a snack for later. I would say they were solid - nothing amazing that I would go out of my way to visit, but good for a breakfast treat or midday snack. read more

This place is located very far from the hotels zone. More for locals. There is no accessible or street parking, so valet is your only option. The staff is polite, not too friendly but no complains in that department. The food is what disappoints. I have been here before, the food used to be good, but today the chicken was unseasoned, the tortilla, which needs to be fried for our dish, it wasn't. The result was an awful smooshy consistency. The been sauce served cold. The pastries were ok, but not to make up for the rest of the menu. The place is full of friendly locals, which gives a very family oriented vibe. The terrace is covered so you don't suffer the sun, but the fans are not enough to cools down the whole area, so you get sweaty at the end of your meal. The prices are ok, not expensive. There fore I guess there was a balance after all. My final rating is one and a half star. Not coming back for a while. read more

Cafe Nader serves some really good quality food. They are a franchise, but the food is very good. So good that we came by twice during our stay at Cancun. One of my orders I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas. Pretty much enchiladas in homemade sauce served with avocado instead of meat on top freshly chopped lettuce topped off with crema de queso. Very flavorful dish. My wife and brother also enjoyed their meals. Indoor and outdoor dining available, excellent customer service, great location, very affordable prices for a very well presented dish and yes they take credit cards. read more

I stop by this place my way to Playa del Carmen for coffee and quick bite. All was good until I saw the cockroaches on the wall, there were 2/3 of them just chilling. We advised the server and he said that he was going to tell the manager. The manager never came to our table to even greet us. Food is just bit average in my opinion. read more

We were recommended this place and the food was excellent. We had the barbacoa, which wasn't like the barbacoa I know, but it was delicious anyway and was a great amount of serving size. The tortillas were fresh and homemade. The sandwich was also delicious! The salad was hearty and very filling. Service was great and the waiters were very attentive and friendly. Cafe Nader is really a locals place. The menu is in Spanish and they don't have a translated version in English. On Sunday mornings, be sure to get your table before 11 am, because the locals will be pouring in after their Church Services.. The coffee is probably the best we found in Cancun --- they use only Arabica whole bean, with a hint of fresh "canela" (cinnamon stick) brewed in with the grounds. Superb in both "regular" and "decaf." Price was around $1.50 at current exchange rates, and they refill your cup. My wife had Chilaquiles con Pollo, she loved them. I had the "Machaca Con Huevos" which is somewhat like pulled pork scrambled with eggs and salsa. It is served with black beans and choice of corn or flour tortillas. Both dishes were ample portions and we paid about $6 or $7 (USD) for our entrees. Service is impeccable at this establishment. Prices are down to earth for American tourists, although they are probably on the "high" side for the locals who eat here. We came here twice on our stay in Cancun. Highly Recommended for the thrifty American Tourist, who is adventurous enough to read a menu in Spanish and know that anything they order will be fantastico! Note also that it's an easy bus ride on the R-1 or R-2 lines from the Hotel Zone. (about $1 round trip per person) read more

Found this place in goggle maps by accident bc I was walking back to Rooster's where I ate 2 days ago.... Wow this place was so good..I had the French toast with scramble eggs w/ ham & cheese & large glass orange juice...The juice was FRESH SQUEEZED So delicious. My friend had omelette w/ beans , avocado and queso with shoestring tortilla chips that dish was delicious too the chips added great texture. They also brought out a basket of rolls w/ hot salasa & Verde sauces on the side... This all cost $15 ....Blown away in America the 2 large cups of juice would have been $12 . I tipped the waiter 150 Pesos which was $7usd he was so gracious but he was a very good waiter deserved every bit of it.. I wish I had taken pictures of the food but we so hungry just dug in... I came here with a large group of girlfriends for a brunch for a friend's bachelorette party. Upon arrival the server informed us that the rest of our party was arriving later and we'd be welcome to grab a seat and order drinks till then. I have to say the decor is very minimalistic even though the prices are comparable to what you'd pay in Vancouver. There was a lack of nice lighting but the skylight did give the place a more bright feel. Service was lacking when it came even though three servers were handling our large group. The bride to be ordered from their fresh pastry basket and she never got it. I ordered the special Enchiladas which were just ok and didn't wow me. For a drink I ordered the special Cafe Nader made with Mexican coffee which again was nothing to brag about. Overall I wasn't satisfied with food or the service and won't be coming back any time soon. read more

My buddy and I are traveling around Quintana Roo and happened to find this place near our hostel. We are also both chefs in the USA. The Arrachera Pepito was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. So simple but so incredibly delicious. We ordered 2 more to go. The chilaquiles are excellent as well. And ask for Jorge. We got to cancun and in need of a coffee we went into cafe nader (i am not sure if it was this location exactly) but wao! We had lunch and a coffee LECHERO to be exact and it was amazing. Strong mexican coffee with hot milk. Long story short we came back for breakfast four more times. They have mexican style breakfasts and fresh bread made in an oven that is in the dining area. Step out of your comfort and try this place. Its a hidden gem that local go to and i cant say enough good things about it. read more

They're coffee is a great balance between strong yet flavorful coffee and it's not too sweet at all. Their pan dulce is very fresh and warm and wish I had discovered this place earlier in our trip, but we will be back and will try the food on another day. read more

Great way to spend an early morning when in Cancun, MX. I came across this quaint cafe with wifi while trying to find my way around the neighborhood. I say this is the best way to find new places to sit, drink, and eat. Although I did not get to enjoy their freshly baked bread due to my intolerance to gluten, I was impressed to see a little oven in full view and a young lady pulling out trays of warm and yummy golden goodness. I did however enjoy their eggs with Nopales accompanied by a side of frijoles negros. The waiter was attentive and brought a tray of four different types of freshly made salsas- each with a different hint of flavor and hotness. I felt comfortable to sit and write while enjoying my breakfast. They were playing "American" music of the 90's which brought me way back. It was a nice cafe to get my mind and stomach in a good place as the day was full of things to do. When in Cancun (downtown) stop in. You won't be disappointed. read more
