My trip to Paris wouldn't been complete if I didn't have French Onion Soup. So I came across This nice restaurant while walking down the lovely streets of Paris. The hostess was extremely nice which is one of the reasons I decided to dine in. The restaurant was nice and the French onion soup was to die for. If I ever revisit France again my first stop will be here. My daughter had the burger and fries which she liked as well.
This place is easy to find and a good traditional French cafe. I visited here twice during my trip since the GoCity Paris Pass included 2 offers. We first stopped in for late afternoon drinks and snacks. We got spritz cocktails as well as some light snacks like bread, tuna salad, and fresh crudité. It was overall decent. The next morning we did the Parisian breakfast, which includes your choice of plain or chocolate croissant, fruit, orange juice, and a hot beverage. I chose an extra hot cafe au lait (like always)! It wasn't my favorite breakfast on the trip, but it was filling and enjoyable! The service was great both times! For what you get it's a good deal.
We were looking for a good late-night bite after a concert in Paris, and I found Cafe Louise on some list. It was a good choice. It's a quintessential French restaurant or French brasserie - with a menu like the ones you'd find in such restaurants. All the basics are covered. But it is an awfully nice quality restaurant if you're hungry at midnight. -We ordered a salad just because we wanted something green. It was fresh and tasty. -I of course got foie gras, which was good/fine -French onion soup was some of the better french onion soup we found in France, nice and deeply flavorful with a good amount of cheese melted on top -And he got the crepes flambe, which arrived at the table with a tableside little pitcher of flaming sauce that was poured over much to the delight of everyone within our general vicinity. My husband, who does not drink, said the sauce still tasted really boozy, so he didn't finish them. But the french onion soup was good for him and then I got the boozy crepes, so win win win in my book lol. Service was friendly and efficient. I was a little confused since everywhere it said the Cafe was open till 2 a.m. but at about 12:30 we were told to get our last orders in because the kitchen was closing. So maybe it's variable depending on how busy it is? Who knows. At any rate, a good spot for a late night bite.
Went to Cafe Louise as this was having a nice menu offering for New Years Eve with live music and DJ party. However, this was not the case at all. We were seated downstairs in the "cave" of the restaurant, which decor wise was nice. The "live music" was basically one of their wait staff singing, which was not really good. I would not have called it live music, rather it should've been karaoke. And to top it all off, the food was horrendous! Not edible at all. Both of our plats, we could not even finish because it was cold, extremely creamy and you can tell it was a mass-produced lunch food. The entrees included two options: Foie gras OR seared scallops Plats were: monkfish OR chicken We were able to try all of them. The entrees Foie Gras and seared scallops started off right and was good! But once the plats arrived, everything went downhill. Overall, avoid especially during New Years eve. Nothing special of a restaurant.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and food here. The waiters were polite, attentive, and nice. The got the chicken wok dish and a Saint germain drink. Amazing! One of the best meals I've had at cafe in Paris. I left feeling full and satisfied. I even had food left over. Bread also comes with the meal. Relax, plp watch and enjoy the food! Inside is a whole another amazing vibe and experience. Check out downstairs - gives you a upscale speakeasy vibe. Very cozy and chic.
We had the Go City Paris pass, and this was one of the restaurants that offered a free breakfast through the pass. I was a little weary about what to expect. However, as soon as we walked in my worries were swept away. We were asked if we had the Go City Pass. From there we were seated and presented with a bowl of fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. The waiter gave us our option of hot drinks, and asked if we wanted a croissant or chocolate croissant. The drinks were steaming hot, and delicious and the pastries were fresh. I would come back here if I had to pay. I would simply come back because the food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and it was a very cute cafe.

Our first dining experience in Paris! We were welcomed and seated right away. The waiter was warm and helpful. We'd decided to try the Saint Germain cocktails, and they may have been the best we had on our trip. We split a salad, which had fried goat cheese in it. Deeelicious! I ordered the barbecue ham with fries. It was good, but I'd probably try something else if we returned. The restaurant was busy but not frenetic. We dined outside and enjoyed watching the people go by. We were sorry that we didn't get another chance to return there. read more

Beautiful cafe right across the street from some better-known cafes in St Germain. In my opinion, Cafe Louise is a much better choice. Not as chaotic, friendly service, and amazing food! Highly recommend the crispy salad! One of the highlights of our week in Paris. read more
This place is the absolute best! We were seated almost immediately when walking in. We started with french onion soup which was delicious, and flavorful. The mains we had were the gnocchi & the louise burger which was cooked to perfection. The crème brûlée was absolutely fantastic and cannot be beat. The ambiance is nice and relaxed with a great bartender and plenty if outside seating. Didnt get her name, but shout out to the little blonde waitress who did a phenomenal job! read more

We came here for a later dinner after a very full day. We were looking for a nicer place to eat. Cafe Louise fit the bill. It was quiet and relaxing. The service was attentive and friendly. The wine choices and prices were fair. I didn't take many pictures. I went with the beef tartare. I only remembered to do a picture after I already started. We had a nice visit and meal while we decompressed from a long day. read more

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants I went to in Paris. Quick tip, you can go across the street to Cafe De Flore and get some coffee/Tea but come across the street to eat here. Service is 10x better and so is the food selection. I went twice during my short stay in Paris. It's a good place to have a bday gathering. There's a nice event space at the bottom. read more
We lucked out with a last minute reservation at Cafe Louise in the neighborhood of Saint Germain. The decore and ambience were art deco with nice music in the background. Service was excellet. We ordered the Smoked salmon liguini which was delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area. read more
Very nice restaurant in St Germain neighborhood. Great atmosphere inside with lots of sidewalk seating as well. Our waiter was fantastic and spoke English as well. Started with the salmon egg rolls and a nice bottle of Chardonnay. Main courses were delicious and there were a lot of choices on the menu. Cheesecake for dessert with an espresso. Would definitely eat here again. read more

Looking for a fabulous French meal in the heart of Ste Germaine? Checkout Cafe Louise! Started with happy hour. Prices weren't an incredible deal unless you ordered a specialty cocktail. However, they served a tomato flavored goat cheese and toasted crostini. Yum. We opted to split a starter of onion soup- a must do! Huge flavor with ewwwy gooey cheese goodness. My husband ordered he veal ...an excellent choice! Altho ordered medium it probably needed to be medium rare as he said it seemed a little over cooked. The au gratin potatoes were rich and tastey. His meal was paired with a medium Bordeaux wine. I had an eye on dessert and was going to forgo a meal and super glad I tried their take on an avocado crab salad. The smooth guacamole type base held a pile of small little hunks of crab. Our neighboring table had a hamburger and another entree that was an equivalent of gourmet mac n cheese. They raved about their meals. The homemade, house special profiteroles were outstanding! One order contained 2 large profiteroles and was PLENTY to split. Indulging in dessert was a wonderful way to finish our relaxing 2.5-hour gastro delight! I'd highly recommend cafe Louise for a French experience. read more

DELICIOUS FOOD, pretty decor, but.... The waiter was rude. He must have hated Americans. I tried several times to speak as much French as I could when ordering, but could not win the man over. It was uncomfortable. In my 4 weeks time in Paris, he was the least friendly person I have encountered. It started with an eye roll when I ordered still water. He "forgot" to bring it so I didn't bother to ask. He dropped a receipt, I picked it up, looked up how to say "it dropped" in French and gave it to him. He scrunched it up and tossed it on his tray with a displeased look. It went downhill from there. With that said, the atmosphere was really nice and I really loved my crispy onions over chicken, quinoa and spinach salad. My mom's burger was just ok and fries were great. Review would have been higher if it were not for the service. read more
Cafe Louise is in a cluster of other cafes that may get more attention, but I am so glad we chose to go there for lunch last Friday. It was our last day in Paris and a friend who is a traveler and foodie from Germany highly recommended Cafe Louise. I was really glad my cousin and I decided to go there before we ran out of time in Paris. Mimi's friend Brigette lives just outside of Paris and she joined us for lunch too. First of all it is in a prime location on Boulevard Saint Germain, but it is sheltered by a little side street so you don't get the excessive noise from the traffic. You do however get a beautiful view on the boulevard and the cafes and other stores across the street. Louis Vuitton is across the street too. FOOD: 5/5 Stars Two of us ordered the croque madame, but I ordered a salad as a side and Mimi ordered the frites. We call them French fries at first, but Brigette with her perfect French accent corrected us. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and the presentation was beautiful on their plates. We all tried the frites and those were great too. Brigette ordered the burrata and she like that. We all shared a bottle of rose that was perfect. It was a very pale pink and it tasted great. It is the less expensive rose of their list. Mimi ordered a apple tart for dessert and Brigette ordered the creme brulee. I tried the tart and it was delicious. AMBIANCE: 5/5 Stars It was perfect. We opted to sit inside so we could chat with Brigette, but it's a perfect spot to sit outside too. They also have seating downstairs. SERVICE: 5/5 STARS It was great from beginning to end. I made a reservation, but you may not need one for lunch unless it's a busy time of year. I think going to Paris at the end of October was the perfect time to go because it wasn't as busy when I visited in July of 2016. RECOMMENDATION: Definitely bookmark this cafe. Yes, you could go to the famous Cafe Flore or Les Deux Maggots across the street, but you will not be disappointed. Yes, I am an American, but I recognize good food and service. read more

Cafe Louise had the best meal I had in Paris. It was our waitresses first night and she was wonderful. I had the lamb with potatoes and it was delicious! Everyone at my table agreed. We sat in the basement area and loved the ambiance. read more
Stopped here for a late lunch and loved it! The inside is cutely decorated and the food was delicious! My boyfriend got the croque madam (oh my goshhhh) and I got the green curry, which was served with rice. The green curry was really nicely done for a French restaurant. It obviously wasn't going to be like what you would get straight out of an authentic Thai restaurant, but I still found it to be enjoyable. The croque madam was amazing! I had a bite of my boyfriend's and it was so cheesy and wonderful, and I loved the egg on top. We also got a creme brûlée for dessert, which was really well done and the coffee was good as well. We absolutely loved our cappuccinos! The service is pretty good as well, really friendly servers and we would definitely come here again. read more

Touristy crap food. There is no excuse for eating bad food in Paris! The Veal here needs a chain saw to get through it, and even if you had a chain saw, then you'd have to eat it. The sardines came literally in that can with the pull ring on top. Served with toasted Wonder bread, see photo. read more
