This cafe is a gem of Berlin. Food: I devoured my plate and unfortunately have no picture to show -- but the food was amazing. Very nicely priced; hot food that will fuel you for a day of walking the city! The menu is elaborate and so many ways to mix/match for a table of food that you'll eat every bite of. Service: Major thing to note -- this place takes card but you have to scan a QR code and pay on a site. If you're not comfortable with this, it's best to bring cash. I loved that you order at the counter -- helps you save time on your dining experience on a busy day. One of the service staff brings your food to your table number. Ambiance: This cafe is SO homey. On the morning of my Berlin arrival my travel companion, who arrived weeks before me, dragged me out to Cafe Fleury. I barely knew where I was let alone how to read a menu, pay for food, or navigate how either of those things happen in this cafe. Luckily, she'd been here several times previously. It was her "spot". Go inside, wait in line, and order. Find a table, set your number on top, eat food when delivered, then pay. It seems obvious and simple but things aren't so when you don't understand a single word being said and the only German menu word you recognize is "schnitzel". What my travel companion ordered was also what I ordered. I wasn't chancing anything: a beautiful cup of soft boiled eggs topped with delicately sliced green scallions and a Latte Macchiato served in a tall, thick glass. We sat out front, beside one another, at a street-facing table covered in a French-inspired blue and white cloth, looking out upon a sweet, busy street filled with shops and people. I was about to keel over but I still recognized this as a good place for relaxed people-watching. She told me that she'd found this place great for getting work done, meaning that she could sit there a long time after ordering, using the wifi. She'd found other ex-pats doing the same. She'd also found, as was true on this day, that the heavenly smell of food and baked goods that hits you while in line was not false advertising. What we consumed was warm, satisfying, and simple but perfectly executed. Plain and simple, Cafe Fleury is a charming little cafe with French influences and it will fill your stomach well. This place is such a gem! Perfect brunch spot midday on Sunday. It was busy but not too busy when we arrived at 1pm, we were able to snag a table for two right away. Grab a menu from the cashier! We were looking at the chalkboards and realized they just wrote a few things there. Based on reading reviews, we had to try the Grande (bread basket, cheese, cold cuts, pâté, jam, fruit, boiled egg) and it satisfied ALL the cravings. We also had an omelette which had the yummiest goat cheese. Cappuccinos were solid too. Everything here is very French - simple, but fresh and very real well made food. Checked this cafe out the day after my arrival to Berlin. It was recommended by my Airbnb host. It's located at the end of a nice park, with picnic like bistro tables along its boarded patio. The interior it self is very cozy and warm. When you first get here, if you're within a group, large or small. I suggest having one of your party members grabbing a seat as soon as possible. This cafe can get packed. With reason, you have to order at the register. They do have an English menu option if needed. I ordered "The Grand" my first time. A decadent platter/sample of French cheeses, breads, jam, butter and cream cheese along with a duck confit. My husband had the bacon omelette, accompanying a slice of toast. Second time around, just before our departure to Prague. We both ordered the bacon omelette along with freshly squeezed orange juice and a delicious slice of raspberry pie. Everything was just as delicious as the first time. I noticed some reviewers wrote that the waitress were rude or unfriendly. Not to dos credit them, however that was not the experience for me. Not based on the food, but the rude service. Came here with a friend. The owner messed up our order bringing the food for only one person. Would've been fine, but we were reassured by her colleague that the second plate is being made, only to find out that he never bothered to check in the kitchen or place said order. Which we had to do ourselves. Instead of making up for this, the owner rudely placed a second bill on our table before we even got the food. Luckily, Café Fleury was one of the few cafés open during the holidays between Christmas and New Year's. We went there at 10:40am and had no issues finding a table. At 11am it suddenly got very crowded, so I recommend coming a little earlier. It's a self-service café, meaning you order and pay first and get the food served to your table once it's ready. We had omelette, müsli, matcha latte and I later took home some apple pie and cheese cake, which were absolutely delightful. Not to forget the very friendly service. It's cash only here, but since everything is priced so reasonably, I didn't think it was a big deal at all, just something to keep in mind. A friend of mine and I visited this place in the Mitte. I instantly fell in love. There is an outside patio area to sit on and enjoy your meal. There is also seating inside. There are pictures around the cafe. There are also French products to purchase. This is a self service place, so I would advise to pick out which table you will be seated at and then go order. They will ask where your table to located. I went here about 4-5 times for breakfast after discovering it, and I always ordered the same thing. --Cappuccino which was strong and excellent. Way better than our watered down coffee in America.. --Rhubarb Tart, this was so delicious. It was sweet enough, and I loved the tartness which in my opinion balanced out the sweetness. There was some language barriers, but some of the baristas spoke English and we made it work. I am really going to miss this place! read more

There are some places that get just the right mix of relaxing, friendly and classy and this is one of them. The food is fresh and yummy with a French influence. The place is packed in the weekend for brunch so, if you're in holidays, drop in here during the week to have a big more room to enjoy. There are seats outside with blankets (and if you don't mind smoking) otherwise there are benches, tables, and stools inside. This place is great. I used to go here often when I lived in Berlin a couple summers ago and found it, the first time, on accident. This place really is lovely. And oddly enough (for Berlin), are really friendly. I got a standard cappuccino and a Francois Fruehstueck. Normally in Berlin, you pay 4.50-5 Euros for a croissant heated to near inedibility with gummy margarine and jam that more than likely was repurposed from someone else's table. At Cafe Fleury, I got quite possibly the best croissant in recent memory (didn't even need the *real* butter!) a baguette, jam, awesome butter, and three huge grapes. For 3.50Euros. In terms of getting your money's worth, this place is pretty good. Looking around, I saw that all of the portion sizes were healthy (I normally come in to think and drink. ^-^) and as usual, they have a healthy selection of magazines and newspapers. It really is a lovely cafe and if you can, definitely stop by. Bonus: They didn't give me that "Ami" exasperation look when I asked for tap water. read more

Cafe Fleury is a cute little french cafe in Mitte which serves french pastries, various coffee drinks and breakfast the whole day. I've been here twice for the large breakfast; a large plate full of cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, and egg and a bread basket. The large breakfast was 11eu and looked to be a good size for a moderately hungry pair. If you are very hungry (or your party consists of more than two), you might want to order something extra. They have a wide range of baguette sandwiches for 3.50eu each. One star off for the fact that this place is a wee bit pricey. The breakfast was delicious, though, and I'll surely come back. read more

Charming, busy little cafe with delicious coffee and tasty breakfast options located in an energetic, artsy neighborhood. We stayed nearby and ended up eating here each of our three mornings while staying in Berlin. I'd definitely recommend the full omelet - a fluffy egg, tomato and bacon dish to get your day going right. The service (unsurprisingly) is a bit stern. You better know what friggin table you plan on sitting at BEFORE ordering at the counter. And don't ask for half and half. Because they don't have it and they're irritated you asked for it. Laura Ashley meets the flea market is the style and the service is pretty friendly and efficiently laid-back. The €8.50 breakfast will happily feed 2. We opted for the mixed fruhstück consisting of cured ham, salami, cheese, duck pâté, fruit, soft cheese and a basket of white and rye. Everything on-board complements the next and we had a job finishing, but relented. Seats are taken quickly inside, but there's lots of outside seating where blankets are supplied in colder months. And being so close to Volkspark am Weinberg means a lovely breakfast is finished off with a refreshing walk. read more

Had a good and sufficiently large breakfast here. Café Fleury in Mitte styles itself a French café, serving only coffee, tea and cakes and pastries and all day breakfast. For the large breakfast (cheese, cold cuts, jam, rillette, fruit salad, egg), we paid EUR11.50, and I also ordered a baguette Provence (cream cheese, tomatoes, olives and rocket) on top since we wanted to share the breakfast. Both the breakfast and the baguettes were delicious. I find the mixture of french-ness and the Mitte atmosphere a little disturbing. Ok, the place was full at lunchtime but I waited more than 30min to have the menu. Than other 30 min to receive my sandwich... that was the wrong one. However, I was looking for good coffee and with regret I have to say that Cafe Fleury coffee was bitter. I hope I am writing the review for "the right one" as there are two of these directly opposite from one another. From what I could tell one seems to be more a café while the other offers a variety of food from croque, quiche, salad to cakes etc. The interior and outside seating area are nice, but nothing special in my opinion. I have had a salad as well as croque here (more like a sandwich though) and both were nice. The prices are ok (since it's Mitte) and the staff was also friendly. The food takes a while to be served though, so don't eat here if you're in a rush. Besides coffee and tea they also serve wine and beer btw. read more

I had the mixed breakfast platter with supposedly French cheese and charcuterie selection, but was disappointed. The only highlight was the duck rilette. We were so blessed to have this cafe near our place during our visit to Berlin. It is the cutest cafe!!! The Croque Monsieur is one of my all time favorite breakfast dishes now. They have an English version menu which makes it easier for foreigners, staff is friendly, cafe is cute and just perfect. Outside seating had blankets for guests to stay warm in the winter. The food is great. The coffee very tasty. The teas very good. Over all 5 stars. But the service is just awful. We were having something to eat and the server never even said hi, just came over, asked who ordered what and kinda threw the plates on the table. Somewhere smack dab at the border of P'berg and Mitte there is Brunnestrasse. Where people wander sideways to get to Am Weinberg Park or up another intersecting road to Kastienallee. Or just across Torstrasse. There you will find a crazy intersection and somewhere on Brunnestr. is Cafe Fleury. You'll be a bit overwhelmed when you walk in. I am instantly taken in by how adorable the cafe is and how crowded it always is. Basically, it's a bunch of young mothers meeting their play dates there. It's well over-run with this demographics. The salads are fresh, the quiche is delicious, and the soups warm our tummy with creative goodness. They have a nice staff that even speaks english. Enjoy a coffee, instead of eating, whatever. It's one of these good eats cafe that is leisurely and comfortable. It's not easy to say that for this area. So, go there. If it's warm outside, you can pour over to the desk and relax for hours. They have some things for sale in the back. SO buy your french products and feel like you're sitting in a nursery with the berliner young moms. read more

Went here for a light dinner one night--very cute on the inside, and comfy-chic. The food was limited in selection--mostly quiches, sandwiches, and salads--but it was tasty nonetheless. The prices are pretty decent, under EUR5 for a slice of quiche with a generous side salad. My friend had the croque monsieur and it was made to order, very tasty. Didn't try the coffee, just had wine, but that was nice. All in all, a place I would return to again for lunch or a late afternoon snack, but perhaps not substantial enough for dinner.
