A nice coffee and snack cafe inside Greenbelt. We arrived and there were plenty of seats inside. Service was slow but efficient once the waiter took our order. I had the Bavarian sausage and it was pretty good. Although it was in a bun I ended up eating it with a knife. It was tasty but a little lacking in flavor. Staff do not rush the customers. Leisurely enjoyed our meal. Staff were efficient. Tried their egg casserole and was pleasantly surprised. Love the texture of the coddled eggs and the flavors from the cheese, mushrooms and sauce beneath it was some healthy spinach. Served with cut toast to dip and scoop up the delicious spread. The restaurant is very cozy and I love the vibe, it's pretty busy even on a weekday but that's part of its character too! Came here after dinner with lots of time to kill before an escape room. The service is typical of Philippines, friendly and quick. I'm giving 3 stars because my friend had a crepe that was supposed to be flambéd with gran marnier. They didn't heat it long enough so literally it was like you poured a shot on top of a crepe. It was so gross I gagged and spat it out. The Nutella & banana crepe I had was a solid 4. The ambiance is cute, it's in greenbelt and they have a patio to people watch. The deja Vu crepe (275p) was so good! It was a hot mango crepe with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Just totally exceeded my expectation. I had skipped lunch so I was kinda skeptical about getting a sweet crepe but this dessert crepe turned out to be perfect! Not too sweet! Just right. I would love to come back and try others. This was the best breakfast and the best meal i had in Manila my whole stay. The place was clean and fast and friendly. It took a while to get our check but honestly the food was so good I'm willing to overlook that. I got the egg casserole with chorizo. It was garlicky and creamy and warm. It was perfect. The bread slices for dipping in the runny egg was perfect. I got an espresso which was bold and flavorful. After I ate the casserole I needed more so I got a mango crepe. It was actually my mom who told me about this place. She had breakfast here a few weeks ago with her friends and told me that the food was good. So, I decided to try it out. Maybe I ordered the wrong kind of crepe. Or this is really how they make crepes. But, I found it bland and lacking. Basically, it was like eating a thin pancake that had no taste at all. Although, the cold coffee that I ordered was really good. It wasn't that bitter or that sweet. It was just right. The waiters are really courteous, but there are times when it is hard to call their attention especially if you are seated outside. Another thing to remember is that it takes a bit long for them to process the bill. If you're in a hurry, ask for the bill after they bring you your food. Will I go back? I often go to Cafe Breton to get my crepe fix, but these days I go there to get away from home and have time for myself. Usually, I go to the branch in Magallanes since it's very near my house plus they used to have brick oven pizza which sadly they've taken out of their menu. It's nice to have coffee with friends in Cafe Breton because there is no wifi. You can just really do old school bonding (aka chit chat) with your friends or dates without being bothered by LTE or 3G. La Pinay is my favorite crepe because chocolate and mangoes.. Duh. Add a milkshake or hot chocolate and I think that sweet tooth will get over that any sugar craving. In their branch in Greenbelt though, it gets a bit sketchy at night because all the DOM's start coming out in the restaurant beside it. But don't fret, just look smart and learn to ignore and you'll be perfectly fine. read more

Came here for a place to sit and use WiFi and ended up ordering hot calamansi for 90 php. The drink was nicely sweetened with a little bit of tart. This used to be the go to place for after dinner coffee and dessert. Favorite was the La Pinay crepe containing mango slices drizzled with chocolate syrup and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Last trip was terrible, crepe was served with a burnt taste, way to much chocolate syrup and very little mango slice. Dish was served on a new plate that is very hard to get your fork or spoon into as it is barely bigger than the now four times folded over crepe. One of the older crepe places in Makati that has been serving up some really good dishes -- both the savory kind and the sweet selection. I love the La Pinay because the mangoes are always deliciously sweet and goes well with the vanilla ice cream and the chocolate drizzle. But whatever crepe you choose, it will always be good because of the base. The crepe wrapper itself is very light and airy, barely there so the flavors they have for the filling blend really well. It might be because it's allows some nostalgia, as it's served consistently yummy crepes for so many years, or maybe because it just has such a relaxing ambiance. I frequent this place quite often not only because it's conveniently near, but also because it serves up some delicious crepes -- of both the sweet and savory variety. For the savory crepes, I've the Galette Don Quixote (Chorizo, onions, tomatoes and mozzarella) which is pretty flavorful. I also enjoyed The Poseidon (Smoked salmon, dill sauce, sour cream and capers) although I pretty much love anything to do with smoked salmon, so that's no surprise, really. I found the Hamburcrepe interesting as well, with a juicy burger patty on top of spinach, mushrooms, and creaaaamy cheese. A healthier take on your average burger! Speaking of burgers, they serve some delicious burgers in Cafe Breton! Their Breton Mozzarella Burger is oozing with cheese and the patty dripping with juicy, so if you're into burgers, you know what to order! As for their dessert crepes, you would have to use all your will power to resist them. They contain the usual guilty suspects: Lots of Nutella, ice cream, fruit combos and whipped cream. I order the a la Nutella, which is simple but still yummy! My friends and I usually split one savory crepe and another sweet one, so we're not too full but we still get to enjoy both sides of the flavor spectrum. the menu had a lot of variety. for starters, our party of 3 ordered 2 different kinds of salad with vinaigrette dressing. we asked if the kitchen could split one of the salads into 2 dishes. the answer was absolutely no although they would be happy to give us extra plates so we could split the salad ourselves. the vinaigrette dressing was very bland and had no "oomph." i fixed this by adding hot sauce and salt to the salad. my crepe had chicken, asparagus, a cream sauce and cheese. it was quite bland as well. it would have been much better had the cook added more cheese or more salt to make it tastier. my companions complained of the blandness of their main dishes as well. we were told that the dessert crepes were quite good but by then we did not want to give the dessert menu a try. read more

I think I've been going to Cafe Breton since I was in High School. It's this place for crepe (which is a part of my comfort food list). Crepe is actually very easy to make so if you found a place that does it well, make sure you make you constantly go there if you have a chance. Throughout the years, I'm proud to say that the quality of the food here in Cafe Breton remained the same. For me, this my default dessert place in Greenbelt 3. You get a scenic view if you sit outside (facing the Greenbelt Park and Greenbelt 5). One of the dessert crepes you must get is the La Pinay (its got mango, vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce). This for me makes crepe Filipino in nature. My other favourites are Strawberry Short Crepe, French Kiss, Fantastic Pinay and Tarzan. I've also tried their savoury crepes (which are technically called Galettes). You can choose from the ones I've tried (and tested): Galette Bretonne, Galette Paysanne, Galette Rustique, and Galette Don Quixote. Cafe Breton is like home to me.
