    mango crepe

stumbled upon this place while shopping at greenbelt and i'm so glad we did. the place was a bit colder than i'd like but will definitely take the cold over the manila heat. the staff was very kind and attentive. i ordered the mango crepe which was one of the most amazing crepe ive ever had! my husband took a bite of my crepe and immediately ordered one for himself. which says a lot since he's usually not a dessert person. i will definitely be coming back here when i'm in town.

Mango with Nutella Crepe (It tastes MYCH BETTER than this picture!)

This is our go-to place for crepes and ice cream. This place usually gets crowded on Friday and Saturday night. I tried something different. I thoroughly enjoyed their Café Liégeois. It was a refreshing coffee beverage with coffee ice cream. The bottom half of the drink reminded me of Serendipity's Frozen Hot Chocolate.

Came here after dinner with lots of time to kill before an escape room. The service is typical of Philippines, friendly and quick. I'm giving 3 stars because my friend had a crepe that was supposed to be flambéd with gran marnier. They didn't heat it long enough so literally it was like you poured a shot on top of a crepe. It was so gross I gagged and spat it out. The Nutella & banana crepe I had was a solid 4. The ambiance is cute, it's in greenbelt and they have a patio to people watch. We sat inside since it was hot though. But overall a good experience.

Can't go wrong with the food selection. Go to place every time I'm around.. Ambience is perfect for meet ups, date s or just hangin with friends to catch up. Service is still the same from the original place up to the current location, friendly staff and knowledgeable.

    Galette Bretonne. Delicious!

Excellent crepe place! Loved all 3 crepes we ordered- we had Galette Bretonne with shrimp, crab, spinach and this wonderful sauce, the crepe with eggs, cheese and tomato, and the Crepe Suzette for dessert which was lit on fire and tasted exquisite. They all melted in our mouths. Cafe au lait was very good too. They also accept credit cards (including Amex).

This was the best breakfast and the best meal i had in Manila my whole stay. The place was clean and fast and friendly. It took a while to get our check but honestly the food was so good I'm willing to overlook that. I got the egg casserole with chorizo. It was garlicky and creamy and warm. It was perfect. The bread slices for dipping in the runny egg was perfect. I got an espresso which was bold and flavorful. After I ate the casserole I needed more so I got a mango crepe. The mangos were fresh and sweet. The crepe was delicate exactly how it should have been. I can't recommend this place enough.

It was actually my mom who told me about this place. She had breakfast here a few weeks ago with her friends and told me that the food was good. So, I decided to try it out. Maybe I ordered the wrong kind of crepe. Or this is really how they make crepes. But, I found it bland and lacking. Basically, it was like eating a thin pancake that had no taste at all. Although, the cold coffee that I ordered was really good. It wasn't that bitter or that sweet. It was just right. The waiters are really courteous, but there are times when it is hard to call their attention especially if you are seated outside. Another thing to remember is that it takes a bit long for them to process the bill. If you're in a hurry, ask for the bill after they bring you your food. Will I go back? Yes, I'll be back for the coffee.

I often go to Cafe Breton to get my crepe fix, but these days I go there to get away from home and have time for myself. Usually, I go to the branch in Magallanes since it's very near my house plus they used to have brick oven pizza which sadly they've taken out of their menu. It's nice to have coffee with friends in Cafe Breton because there is no wifi. You can just really do old school bonding (aka chit chat) with your friends or dates without being bothered by LTE or 3G. La Pinay is my favorite crepe because chocolate and mangoes.. Duh. Add a milkshake or hot chocolate and I think that sweet tooth will get over that any sugar craving. In their branch in Greenbelt though, it gets a bit sketchy at night because all the DOM's start coming out in the restaurant beside it. But don't fret, just look smart and learn to ignore and you'll be perfectly fine.

    Hot calamansi

Came here for a place to sit and use WiFi and ended up ordering hot calamansi for 90 php. The drink was nicely sweetened with a little bit of tart. This was my first time drinking calamansi hot and I think I prefer it hot over cold now. The ambience is nice, small, wooden tables and chairs. The WiFi signal was nice and strong.

For savory, my family always orders the Dracula. My favorite dessert go-to's are the Fantastic Pinay, the Nutella banana crepes, and the butter-lemon-sugar crepes. My family has been coming here for years and it is always one of the first places I have to visit whenever I'm in Manila. This place brings back so many memories and never seems to change, one of the things I love about it. The atmosphere is very casual and conversational. Coming here for years, my family has consistently had wonderful experiences here. It's also definitely kid-friendly. Cafe Breton can always be depended on to m serve delicious food and have great service.

    La Pinay.
    Issa T.

Despite being crowded at all hours of the day, my family still prefers to get coffee and dessert here whenever we go out for Sunday lunch in Makati. So that's about 3 rowdy small kids, 2 teenagers, and around 6 adults that cram ourselves around 2 or 3 tables in this cozy cafe. I for one don't really mind the noise or difficulty maneuvering around people to get to the toilet from my seat and vice versa, because their famous dessert crepes are worth it. My usual order is the La Pinay, soft, warm goodness filled with mangoes, drizzled with chocolate sauce, and topped with vanilla ice cream for a cool contrast. For creative types, there's an option to build your own crepe, either sweet or savory, by selecting ingredients from a list in the menu. Such a fun customizable crepe experience, accompanied by good coffee, is what crowns Cafe Breton as my family's favorite dessert spot.

Cafe-UK is one of those cafes that manages to establish it's own identity able to set itself apart from the generic or those that aspire to be a copycat of Starbucks. They have tea, coffee, juice, and a wide variety of American canned drinks that you won't find in your local grocery. There's a lot of food to choose from. They're a bit pricey, but the size and the taste will more than make up for it. Cafe UK has some of the best cakes I've ever had. Their cakes come in the form of a slice or a mini cake. I love the fact that they offer several kinds of cheesecake with the triple chocolate cheesecake being my favorite, I mean it's cheesecake and chocolate come on! Cafe UK is open 24 hours, and becomes a great places to study at around nine in the evening. Things are quiet at this hour up to around ten in the morning the following day, at which point it becomes a melting pot for the different students from the different schools that populate Mendiola. Wi-fi is free, which is probably another reason why so many students love to congregate at this awesome cafe. The biggest quirk that this cafe has that I don't find anywhere else are the free to use iPads. Never have I walked into a cafe that has free to use iPads, These iPads are ingeniously built into the table, I often find students spending a lot of their time drinking their orders and playing the latest games on Cafe UK's tablet. Free WiFi, excellent food and drinks, wonderful prompt service, and the tablets allows Cafe UK to deliver a great experience. Go for a visit sometime and I promise you that it'll be time and money well spent.

That's because most of them try to be something that they're not, which is of course Starbucks. Few cafes out there establish their own identity. Few cafes in Metro Manila can stand out from the competition without emulating Starbucks. Cafe UK is a part of the few. A local favorite among the people in P. Noval, Cafe UK never fails to draw a crowd each day. A crowd mostly made up of students. The students love it here. Great ambiance, good food and coffee, nice staff and free Wi-Fi are just a few of the reasons why this place has become a regular on many people's place to chill. I'm pretty sure the guy who owns this place knows his target market. I mean, the way this place feels and how it's setup is just so right for students. It's tailor made to appeal to that kind of demographic. The branch here in P. Noval looks a bit tight and cramped. What it lacks in floor area it makes up for with the number of floors. In a way though, I actually liked the cramped space of this cafe. It forces people to be close and conversations are more likely to be intimate and engaging that way. Cafe UK is sweet. It draws students are drawn to it like flies are to honey. A warning though, be sure to bring a jacket. The place can get really cold especially at night.

The place was comfy not because there were couches everywhere but because you've-got-the-entire-floor-to-yourselves-with-comfy-pillows type of comfy. The place is not a typical tables and chairs cafe, what you'll see are sort of cabins with throw pillows that's enough for you and your friends to fit in. The place is also perfect if you have gadgets (wifi availability!), you can easily plug it on the wall socket if you ran out of battery. And every cabin has one. How generous, right? The place is great and cozy, the concept was superb. However, if you're planning for a quiet Me Time in the cafe, you might get distracted with other customers, they tend to get really noisy. The Main Event Travel Caramel Frappe Caramel Macchiato Blueberry Cheesecake I was told that Blueberry cheesecake was their best-seller so I've tried it, although it was great, it didn't stand out from other blueberry cheesecake I've tried. The coffees were just right, too. One thing that I love about this place? It's very Instagram-friendly!! We were billed less than P600 for 2. Inclusive of service charge.

Or was that just me? Getting back on track and away from bouncing balls, the owner of Cafe Noriter opened a new place in the building right beside in, in Archer's Nook Dormitory. Lasallians, this is the building with the Yellow Cab and Army Navy. Take the stairs to the second floor and you'll see a very Korean coffee place, with a very Korean owner greeting you at the door, and very Korean pop music playing on low in the background. The restaurant itself is THE dream for students with extra-long breaks between classes. Like the old Noriter, it features double-deck loft-type nooks filled with the most comfortable marshmallow pillows you can imagine. I've fallen asleep on these pillows and I'm proud of it. Oh wait, I'm not. Remember that very Korean owner by the door? He's also very gorgeous and he carries a camera with him, and he takes a photo of every guest after they've settled in, which he posts on Facebook and on the main wall. Ladies (and men, I don't know) take note and prepare accordingly. The prices are a bit steep, but let's face it, you'll probably only order one slice of cake (if you do, try the blueberry cheesecake -- it's heavenly) and stay there for hours on end. Can't blame you. I've done that countless times.
