Great lounges outside and really a good atmosphere for having lunch, dinner or just some drinks! The food is just really good for a cheap price, so definately worth the money is my opinion. For the drinks I would recommend the beer from 'Brouwerij 't IJ' which is called 'Zatte'! Also do not forget to take the nachos which is just absolutely great when you are just enjoying some drinks on the lovely terrace decorated with some colourful lights! read more

AMAZING!!! I decided to treat myself to dinner to celebrate my first solo trip and this place was within a reasonable walking distance from my airbnb. The vibe is great and the staff are super kind and relatable. I ordered a mojito (so fucking good) and ordered the chicken burger. The chicken burger was tasteful and the ingredients blended perfectly. I figured I was already enjoying myself so it would get hurt to get a dessert, right? I was so fucking right. I got the lemon merengue and I almost died of happiness; the texture was great and just overall amazing. Although the restaurant is a little out of my price range, it was a great choice and I'll most likely be back tomorrow!! read more

Had some beers and late lunch here... We had the tuna melt and Phillycheese sanwhich, and of course famous bitterballens. Everything tasted delicious and our service was awesome. Nice terrace but be warned: do not, I repeat do NOT sit on the seats by the kitchen window. They are located by the sewer opening. And on a windy day or warm day - YUCK! The waiter mentioned that sometimes it smells, sometimes it doesn't. Of course we went on one of the most humid day and it was a ripe stench. We eventually moved, around the corner, and were able to enjoy our beers. Service here is rather swift though. Yeah for that! read more

For food: Nope. I've made a few attempts at the food here but when a friend hasn't gotten food poising from the dish, then I've had to send food away (and still charged for it, it's their policy that when you order, you pay no matter if it is returned immediately) due to it being inedible. It's a shame, because: For drinks: yep. Good outdoor seating. The waitstaff are friendly and personable. In the summer, the seating can't be beat. And, it's a quiet place which allows the time to move along slowly. So, bottom line: for outdoor drinks and socializing or just relaxing - a good spot. For lunch/dinner: Go anywhere else. :D read more

I never ate anything here, except for some fried bites to go with our drinks, but I like this place a lot. During summer the terrace is so lovely. There are nice lounge seats, big tables and small tables as well. Like Rachelle said, the sewer opening stinks during hot days so you better not sit near the kitchen windows. This place also looks so cozy in the evening. The colorful lights are so cute. This is one of my favorite places in my direct neighborhood to go for a drink. And I think a lot of people here would agree with my because this place is usually quite busy :) The staff is friendly as well. read more

A lovely spot in De Pijp for some beers. The atmosphere is nice, service is pleasant and it's frequently buzzing with activity. Never tried the food beyond barsnacks, but wouldn't be surprised to hear it's good too. It's in a bit of a boring location by a busy street, a playground and a taco shop, but it's a nice spot for a drink for sure. read more

Bloemers is a local pub in the pijp. It has a nice terrace outside that is cut in half by a cycling lane. What i like: Terrace outside The vibe ( feels local) especially during soccer matches Location Service is dutch standard. We had to go twice to the bar as they forgot our drinks, and had not seen us sit at a table trying to order food. The wine was barely drinkable. Food was ok. Tip: - ask for vega or pluk van de dag. These are not on the menu card and can be good value for money - order beer or cocktails. Wine was not good. read more

It's tricky reviewing Amsterdam restaurants and cafés because your experience on a summer day sitting outside could be quite different from that on a cold day when you have to stay inside. Even then, Bloemers seems like a place with a bit of consistency, and that is a good thing. I was here for the first time on quite a very warm afternoon and decided to stay outdoors. The area is tastefully furnished and there is plenty of reading material to get around, too. The interior was also spacious and comfortable. I went with a glass of prosecco. It was served quickly and with a smile - good beginning. It's also great to point out that being situated in a relatively non-touristy area means that Bloemers isn't fussy about serving tap water to patrons. I absolutely dug this fact as I downed glass upon glass of free water on that hot afternoon! For food, I ordered a deliciously fresh caesar salad, although there were a ton of other options suitable for vegetarians and carnivores alike. The preparations all were very fresh, which makes me want to keep coming back for lunch, since the options near my office basically suck. All in all, an awesome spot to bring a few friends for some light drinking and tasty food and great conversations. read more

Nice vibe, decent service, average, but generous portions of food. That about sums up Bloemers for me. It's a good bar on this side of the Amstel though so we enjoy this place for a few drinks. Just look for the coloured lights and try the cheesecake - large and delish! read more

My fella and I came here three times during our week and a half stay in the area (our first meal in Amsterdam, and tonight our last :( ). The servers were always friendly, the food and drinks quite good - a few vegetarian options are on the menu. One of the bartenders who served us on two visits helped us bumble our way through our first taste of jenever which we were looking forward to. AND THERE'S AN ORANGE KITTEN!!! This is a nice place with a cozy neighborhood vibe. read more

I did not try the food here, but I really loved the vibe! They have a really nice terrace set out in front with couches, picnic tables, wicker chairs....take your pick! The waiters were very nice and attentive...coming back often to check if we needed another drink and also helping us to try and find a landmark we were in search of. They have some cool beers on tap from a local brewery that were so refreshing. Free wifi also..always a plus! This place is perfect to have a few drinks with friends on a sunny day. Wish I could come back but sadly it may be a while before traveling back to Amsterdam...so please go have a beer for me! read more

A great place to hang out with a beer and a friend! I had a great time meeting a friend here, there was live music, good beer, and the staff was really nice. I accidentally knocked my neighbors beer into his food and everyone around was super accommodating, quick to get him another 2 on me. I had a great time even though it was pretty embarrassing. read more
