We chose the premium tour which is between 3 1/2 to 4 hours and has 4 stops vs. the classic tour which is 2 1/2 hours long and has 3 stops. The narration is very good and the tour guide knew his stuff. I just felt that the tour was geared for people with limited mobility. During the stops, we didn't really have enough time to explore.....especially on the last stop (Jordan Pond House). They have a restaurant there with a beautiful outdoor area on the water. It is famous for its popovers. I thought for sure, we would be able to sit down a little and have some, but the tour guide talks about the popovers and then says, we won't have time to try them. My friend and I ordered them anyway and brought them to the bus to eat. So all in all, the tour was good, but if you want a more active visit to the park, you should check other options. If you take this company's tours, the shorter version would be sufficient, and then maybe you could do some exploring on your own.

Our guide was fantastic. She provided instruction and the necessary safety info accurately and got us on our way quickly. We kayaked around one of the porcupine islands. We had to watch for large boats through the main channels. One side of the island provided choppy paddling conditions which was 'fun' and unique. The other side of the island was much calmer and relaxed. Our guide provided interesting tidbits of info about the island as we progressed. I kind of wished we would have had a few designated photo ops areas. I didn't really feel like I could take my time to get my camera out as I needed to keep up or didn't want to miss what she was saying. As a result, no one in our group really took any pics. The kayaks were in good condition. We wore splash suits to minimize getting wet. If you are tall, the kayaks will likely be a bit uncomfortable for you (hard to adjust the foot rests). Nice morning on the water.

We stumbled upon this company's advertisement sign just 4 minutes before pulling into our AirB&B at 2am, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of our trip. Our Pilot Erin was amazing and even let me fly the plane for a few minutes! It was breathtaking and definitely a once in a lifetime adventure.

My husband and I rented their Cannondale e-bikes and a bike rack for 3 days. The price was better…read morethan other companies we checked servicing Acadia National Park. Wilton was quick to respond to our booking request (another company we contacted never responded), but what really impressed us about Island Time Acadia was the personal and friendly service which included "going the extra mile." The e-bikes were well maintained, and delivered to our rented cottage, along with chargers for each bike (e-batteries could be charged either on or off the bikes). We initially ran into some glitches with the rack (through no fault of the company) and Wilton and Merrill went out of their way to resolve them beyond our expectations. They made us feel like family, even checking in a few times to see how we like the bikes and telling us good places to park. We recommend renting the e-bikes for at least 3 days to explore all the carriage roads in the national park!
