By far, one of the best tours taken in my 50+ years. We arrived from a cruise ship and Woody was great communicating with us as to his whereabouts and how to meet him. From moment one, he welcomed us and made us feel at ease. Even though we came from a cruse ship and the port of Bar Harbor had 5000 new people come off the ship, we didn't feel like we were part of the crowd. In fact, at our request, Woody took us to places that only locals knew about and for the entire tour we felt we were touring on relaxing day with no one else around us. We especially wanted to get some excellent photography and videography and Woody did not disappoint. He took us to out of the way and quite locations that were scenically spectacular and away from the swarms of tourists. You cannot go wrong with a tour by this company.

But in the middle of the trip, he suddenly asked for $50, which shocked me. I paid it because I was already in the cab, middle of nowhere and had little choice. At the end of the trip, I confronted him about the misleading quote and felt that I had been tricked into booking the ride. In his response, he argues that "850" could mean "$850" and asks how I could be sure it meant $8.50. But that actually proves my point: he is acknowledging that "850" is what he said over the phone -- he did not clearly quote me $50. I believe the cheaper quote was used to get me to book the ride, and then I was charged $50 once I was already inside the cab, in the middle of the trip. If he had honestly told me it was $50 the night before, why would I have booked him instead of Uber? This was last November, during the off-season, and Uber was showing roughly $10-$15 for the same 13-minute trip, even when scheduled the day before. I obviously would have taken Uber. And who in their right mind would knowingly agree to pay $850 for a 13-minute ride? His argument that "850" could mean $850 completely misses the point. The reasonable interpretation in this context was clearly $8.50. I admit I should have double-checked the fare before starting the ride. However, that does not excuse giving a misleadingly low quote over the phone and then charging a much higher amount afterward when the passenger is in the middle of the trip has zero option but to pay. When I questioned him about the misleading fare at the end of the trip, his attitude became rude, and I simply wanted to get out of the uncomfortable situation. I became silent and ended the conversation because there was no point continuing given his tone. The whole experience ruined the mood of our trip.

We picked up our first bus at the Village Green and road it up to the visitor center where we switched buses to Cadillac Mt, Sand Beach, Thunder Cove. The bus drivers were friendly and eager to assist. The maps provided were helpful as well. The timing of the buses though we were told we're never really on time, we found some to be on time, and others not so much. But we can't complain. Best of all it's free! But don't forget to tip to help keep it free.

When I called I was told there were no drivers left for that night but, Mike customer service is great. He called me back and said the passenger that night didn't mind sharing her ride with me. Luckily our destinations were only 1/2 mile apart. Then I needed a ride to my mom's the next day and they found a way to pick me up within 10 min. When I left I had a reservation to go back to Bangor at 8 pm. But, my mom was tired so I called and he was nice enough to pick me up an hour early and got me to the Airport hotel safely Drivers; courteous, polite, and punctual and I really enjoyed the conversation with my drivers during my rides. I would recommend them to everyone and anyone who's in the Bangor, Ellsworth area

He greeted at the airport with a sign (he even tracked our flight). The drivers were professional and responsible drivers, and they safely and smoothly navigated the quickest route to and from our destination.
