We've driven by here several times on the way to and from Door County, and finally stopped in!…read moreSituated on the corner of 2nd and Clark streets, the tasting room offers nice views through Legion Park to the marina and Lake Michigan beyond. There are several beers on tap as well as in cans, ciders, and soda. I'm not a beer drinker, so I tried a Cherry Von Stihl Cider from the nearby Von Stihl Winery/Cidery/Distillery. I may have found my new cider! Anywho, for a small town like Algoma, this place was hoppin', and it wasn't just locals! There is plenty of seating indoors at the bar or around it. There is a patio right outside, also with ample seating, The outdoors is dog friendly, but I don't know about the indoors (although a giant garage door opens to combine the two, so...) There is a small corner offering up various merch like hats, t-shirts, mugs, etc. 10/10 would recommend a stop for a quick drink if you're in the area or just passing by. Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere with very nice and quick-witted bartenders! 40/2025

The staff were friendly, efficient, jovial, popping out samples just by overhearing the decision struggle. Prices were a tad higher than WI competition BUT very reasonable still, especially for the touristy location. $20-$32 growlers, $7-$8 pints, $5.50-$6 12oz & $3-$3.25 5oz pours Some unique flavor options, tons of varieties and the walls are decorated with awards. I've got to dock a star for plastic cups... but I understand the reasoning

But before I mention the things I love about this place, I need to tell you that I had 311 songs in my head the whole time I was supping on my soup and forking my salad. And I don't even like 311! It must be because, whoa, amber is the color of Three Eleven's energy. I could tell, as soon as I entered Three Eleven, that is was my type of place. The lighting was muted, there were white tablecloths on the tables, as well as fresh flowers in small vases. I just respond to those types of things. Then I found out there's a great wine list, the menu is pared down, the food offered is well-thought-out, and the service is excellent. All this before I even had a bite or a drink. I visited for lunch, so I ordered the Roasted Beet Salad, which is mixed greens, beets, burrata cheese, roasted almonds and a citrus vinaigrette. You can get chicken or salmon with this salad, but I opted for neither: the burrata was enough, and frankly, that's the reason why I ordered the salad. (That, and the beets. I love beets.) The salad was cold and light and refreshing -- the type of salad that you can't stop eating because it's so satisfying. I also ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, which was thick and creamy, with big chunks of lobster. This, too, was so satisfying that I didn't want to stop eating it. It came with a piece of bread to sop up every last bit. My table also ordered a few things to share, including the frites (one order was plain, the other was truffle), calamari, and because we're in Wisconsin, we also got the cheese curds. I tried everything except the calamari (I am not a fan in general), and the plain fries were my favorite. Frites come with a sauce of your choosing. Three Eleven Bar & Bistro is located in downtown Algoma, next door to a bookstore and other cute shops. It's a nice place to stop in for lunch or dinner while you're in the Algoma area.

This business makes there own Beer, wine and alcohol products where the diversity of what they make is kind of amazing considering the footprint/size of their facility. Relative to the tastings, these are free of charge where customers are encouraged to tip instead to show their appreciation for what they have been served. Duriing our trip here we tasted numerous spirits to include their house made gin, rum, vodka, Brandy, Bourbon and various flavored moonshines. I thought the liquors with the exception of the Moonshines were just OK but the moonshines were surprisingly quite good. These 60 proof drinks come across like a liquor based on the alcohol by volume content with a similar creamy texture. The flavor profiles are quite unique to anything I have ever tasted before where their flavors include Grandma's Apple Pie, Salted Caramel, Orange Slice and Lemon Drop shine to name just some of them. Every Moonshine bottle we tasted was so tasty where I was really enamored with all of them and at the end of the day ended up buying the Lemon Drop and salted Caramel although it was hard to stop at just these two. Relative to the facility it has a non descript outer view where the inside comes across more of a typical bar venue more so than a winery/distillery which is a bit deceiving in my mind considering how much product they make here. No stacked wine barrels or a sneak peak of the Distillery or Barrel rooms to reinforce what this business is and add the cute ambiance you get at many of the wineries I visit. Relative to Staff, They were exceptionally friendly and good on the repours for our free tasting which definately added a lot to our tasting event. Overall a very pleasant time was had by our group where I see myself returning again in the future and sampling their other ware's and probably buying more moonshine!
