What a super gray place This is a gem. Would have never been here if we were not looking for something else. We were in town for the winery. We needed lunch and wanted pizza. This location look good online. So we get I. And some patrons are eating some really delicious looking burger. So after talking with the bartender burgers it was We had a pizza burger. Omg. So yummy. I am SO TORN on my Pizza Bowl experience--the onion rings were honestly the best onion rings I ever had in my whole life. I would go back just for those fried delights. Also, our waiter was a (seemingly) high school kid who was waiting tables and prepping food in the back--super impressive but that is a lot for one person to do! The Halloween decor was also on point--very spooky. The pizza was super disappointing. I don't think they put any seasoning on that sucker. When you have the name "pizza" in your restaurant name-sake, I'm expecting a slamming pizza. It was also burned :( The service was also breathtakingly slow, but it is because that one kid is running all over the place doing all the jobs. I also thought it was weird when I asked for a water for dine-in they brought our table bottled water so we could take it to go. We ordered pizza for take out while staying at a nearby hotel. It smelled great on the ride back to the hotel and when we opened the box, the Pizza looked great, so I had high expectations. We ordered the 12" Pizza Bowl Deluxe which had sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, green peppers, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. I was disappointed because it was just alright. Nothing bad about it, but it was also nothing special like I thought it would be. Their prices are reasonable. The next time we are in the area we will probably try their burgers. read more

Pizza is Great!! Lots of toppings and crust is nice and thin so you're not filling up on dough. There are some things tho you should be aware of: 1. The beer/liquor list is not accurate as half the items they were out of. 2. The service is a little slow so don't expect anything to be quick and we needed to flag down our server for refills. However I'm still giving them 4 Stars because compared to every other restaurant in the area, this place still has the best service and food at a very reasonable price. Ordered a large thin crust sausage & mushroom and a medium thin crust cheese. Angie took payment over the phone with instructions on how to pickup our pies without human contact. Pizzas were waiting right on time on a clean table with my name. No human contact during this crazy quarantine time. Pizzas were hot, super crispy and very tasty! The burger menu offers some tasty twists on the usual beef patty Ingredients were fresh and neatly plated. I brought my wife here on a Wednesday evening for a snack. The place was virtually empty. One other person at the bar and a couple others who were just talking with the bartender. We ordered the Nachos Grande to share. We received our order in a reasonable amount of time. The cook brought them out to us. The nachos were served on a dinner platter. They were the red, white, and blue colored chips. The Nachos Grande was made with seasoned ground beef, fresh chopped onions, green peppers, black olives, and tomatoes. It was topped with nacho cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. The jalapeños were served on the side as we requested. There was plenty for 2 people to share as a snack or appetizer. They were good, but a little salsa would have been nice. The price was decent at about $8.00. This is not a bad place to com for an evening snack. read more

Food, atmosphere and drinks were all delicious! We got the hand breaded cauliflower and I think it it was the whole head of cauliflower, that was a meal in itself. The Juicy Lucy burger was mouth watering and I could only finish half. Definitely going back again. read more

We have been here many times. We have no complaints over the food, the service, the cleanliness and even today we bowled. Fun! We went to the bar to have another drink. However, at about 4:30 the shift changed from two men to a young lady and a couple a and a guy came into the bar. The guy had clearly been overserved before he got there and was loud, obnoxious and constantly dropped the f word. No complaint. But... Great pizza. The crust had nice chew, but lacked that yeasty taste the best pies have. The sauce was good and used fairly, not excessively. The cheese was as delicious and stretchy as one would expect from Wisconsin. The price was a little steep though. read more

I often wonder if the residents of Algoma realize what a gem of a place they have in the Algoma Pizza Bowl. The pizza is outstanding, superior to any that I've had in the Midwest outside of Chicago, and as good as many Chicago establishments. I can't emphasize enough how genuine of a compliment that is. When I take people here for the first time they are consistently blown away by the quality of these pies. Then there is the bar portion of Pizza Bowl, which by itself is a good place to tie one on. They don't have an extraordinary amount of beers, but they always have some good ones on tap, like a New Glarus brew or something similar. People play familiar stuff on the jukebox, and it's fun to order pitchers and sing along to some AC/DC. Then there is the bowling: Six lanes, manual scoring, smoking everywhere, pink and yellow neon shoes; it's the jam (to quote my friend Spencer H.). So there's your night all laid out for you. But whoa! you might say. CJ, seriously. Pizza, bowling, and beer all in one night may be undoubtedly fun, but must cost a fortune. Nope. Not here. I was just at APB with eight people, we ate, drank, and bowled, all for a grand total of $107! (107/8 = 13.375 *.20= 2.675. 13.375+2.675 = $16.42 per person) Ok, you say, fine. So you ate a modest amount of food, each had two beers, and bowled one game, whoop -fucking-eee. Wrong again, friend. That price included two pizzas (one large, one medium), two games of bowling, and five pitchers of beer. Also we weren't just drinking Miller Lite, these were pitchers of Blue Moon for $7 each. One more thing. Make sure you order Sauerkraut on your pizza. It sounds repulsive but it loses much of it's pungency while baking, and ends up being surprisingly delicious. Love you Pizza Bowl. Pizza is very good. A little surprising considering the whereabouts. We eat quite a bit of pizza in the chicagoland area, so we know just a little bit about good pizza. The cheese they use is excellent. Its thin crust, so if you are looking for a deep dish, keep on looking. The bowling lanes are awesome. It's a total throw back. Six lanes with manual scoring. We had them deliver and it took longer than they told us first of all- and we had ordered a pizza and 2 munchie baskets. Neither one of the munchie baskets were the same. I ended up with like 10 shrimp while the other one had hardly any. I had 1 chicken tender and the other one had three. Plus, the crust on the pizza was burnt and disgusting. Ordered a couple of pizzas here during our stay in Algoma. If you're in a big hurry, don't bother, but if you have an hour to kill, the pizza is phenomenal. We ordered one of the Pizza Bowl deluxes and although it was thin crust,the amount of toppings made up for any of the crust's shortcomings. Love their pizza and their bartenders are friendly but last time it took over an hour to get onion rings and a pizza when it was not even busy. Also, the onion rings and pizza came out at the same time after requesting the onion rings out first. The chili and Hawaiian pizzas are great. read more
