So I read all the great reviews about this hotel on tripadvisor and other online sites, and decided to book this hotel. Considering the location, I think it was an awesome price. The hotel doesn't charge you 2 to 3 hundred a night compared to other cheap-looking hotels in the area. It's located about 2 blocks away from the beach. It's not as noisy as hotels in Collins and Ocean drive, but we did hear people arguing all night in the room next to us, so the walls were pretty thin. The room is nice, but a bit small. It seems like the cramped everything they could in the room. The tv was small and way high up on top of the bookshelf/entertainment center. I think the best part of the hotel was the staff that worked there. They were all very nice. One of the guys who works there did everything from carring our luggages to serve us drinks in the outdoor cafe. The service from the staff was even better than 5 star hotels that I stayed in. Overall, I thought the hotel was a great value considering the location.

You can park in the yellow area towards the front of the hotel to load/unload. There are no carts for luggage usage, and you have to walk up the stairs for your room. They do not have a designated parking area, so you have to go park your car at a parking lot. We chose the one up the street because it was closer, and it was about $35 for 24 hours. There is a cute little bar in the front of the hotel, along with an outdoor breakfast area if you would like to purchase breakfast and eat there. It's decorated very cute. The room was also cute. It was a pretty average room. It kind of reminds me of the rooms up north in New York. The rooms are small, and there's not a lot of outlets to plug your phone up at for charging. There's no outlets by the bed. The outlet was in the bathroom so if you're trying to charge your phone up while your sleeping, you will just have to leave your phone in the bathroom. The other outlet in the room is by the tv. There's also no cable. Tv didn't work at all in our room so if you care for television at night, forget about it lol. I don't care for tv, so that doesn't bother me. It's a pretty cozy room. It was clean and the hotel is very vintage. Nice decor. I liked it. They have a cute little pool/spa in the back. Also, you can not adjust the AC unit. It was way high, up towards the ceiling, and there was no remote or buttons on it. The staff was very nice and helpful.

We stayed here during our last trip to Miami. It was 2 blocks walking distance from the beach and is located near restaurants. We had the cozy queen bed and while the room was nice, I think that the cozy queen is best suited for one person. The staff was super friendly and the place was clean. The water in the shower was a little cold, but manageable given the summer time. This is a good hotel if you want to stay in this area of South Beach. I would definitely check out the larger room options for my next visit. Overall, it was a good experience.

I enjoyed my 2 night stay at Cadet Hotel in late January 2017. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the the hotel's decor, staff, and the property in general. I prefer smaller, boutique hotels to the more sprawling properties (like The Royal Palm, etc), so the Cadet Hotel was right up my alley. The hotel is in a perfect location -- walking distance from all the food and entertainment on both Ocean Dr and Lincoln Rd Mall. The guest rooms, lobby, and premises are very clean and well-maintained. The staff are always there to greet you with a smile. They are very knowledgeable of the area and can provide customized restaurant / entertainment suggestions. The $15/day resort fee covers towels and beach chairs, so it's definitely worth it. I will return to this hotel and would recommend it to others.

Great hotel in a great location! Stayed a week here with my husband and we are very pleased with our service and stay. Rafael, Louis and the rest of the staff were very accommodating, attentive and professional. Everything from nightlife and restaurants that they recommended, were amazing! The beautiful Orchard and jacuzzi in back were very comfortable and relaxing, and they are perfect places to read a novel, if you choose (they have a bookshelf full of them in each room) which was a good touch

I have driven by this hotel a zillion times in my lifetime and never gave it a second look. I needed a place for a quick staycation that was reasonably priced and Cadet Hotel was it! The number 1 reason this place rocks? Location, location, location! Cadet is located on a random, short street (James) between Collins and Washington. We were able to walk to lunch and dinner every night (yes, heels and all). Lincoln Road and The Filmore are also within walking distance. New (to me) find Regent Cocktail Club is across the street as well as Casa Tua (will go next time for sure). The beach is just a short block and a half away too! The hotel was built in 1941, three days before the attack on Pearl Harbor, during World War II. At the time, most hotels were occupied by Allied Armed Forces. Cadet Hotel became home to the West Point Cadets graduates, under the command of a young Clark Gable. When you enter the hotel now, you see Clark Gable memorabilia everywhere. (In case you don't know, Clark Gable is most famous for his leading role in the very classic- Gone with the Wind.) They also have a master suite named after him. The lobby is quaint with some comfortable lounge seating, a bar on the left (espressos in the morning and cocktails at night), and live, sexy jazz on the weekends. I did not catch the singer's name, but she was fabulous. It was a nice surprise to discover they have a hidden, ultra private, tiny restaurant off the lobby called "Pied à Terre", which has a 4 1/2 stars rating. Who knew? I took a peek and have bookmarked it for future reference because it looks amazing. Cadet only has two stories and there is no elevator. Thankfully, the staff carried our luggage up for us. The room was spacious and very clean. A fruit platter welcomed us with a welcome note, complimentary water, and chocolates. Despite it's centric location, the room was very quiet at night with no (expected and typical) street rowdiness interrupting us at all. The terrace outside has a small pool with some lounge chairs and I believe they do offer some in-room spa services. One con was the lack of parking. There is a lot a block away but it would have been more convenient to have valet parking. Luckily for us, we planned on driving as little as possible that weekend. I will definitively stay here again!

This hotel is wonderful! From the great location to the friendly front desk to the reasonable rates, the experience was great. The hotel is located just off the main drags, so it doesn't get too loud. It has an old-Hollywood feel and it's easy to tell that the owners/staff care about every detail. When I walked in my room, there was fresh fruit and a personalized note waiting for me. When I left for a bit, I came back to a filled ice bucket, complimentary water, and a few chocolate-covered almonds. I was concerned about parking, so I called and they let me know there are a few lots on the same street. Parking was $25 for 24-hours in the lot between the hotel and Lincoln Road and the attendant was very nice. I could come and go as I liked. The only downside is that our room was a little small, but we weren't in it much, so it was no problem. If you are looking for a big, opulent, over-priced place to stay in South Beach, this place is not for you. If you are looking for a charming, convenient, happy little place, you've found it.

Cool place and good for a Miami Beach vacation. In sacrificing the pool and/or beach view that's typical of resorts in the area, you gain a clean room, very friendly staff, and a price that's probably around 100 dollars cheaper per night compared to places that are a few hundred feet closer to the water. You also get free beach towels and can rent beach chairs for a reasonable price. Things to improve: the free wifi was slow. And the jacuzzi wasn't warm when I went it.

The Cadet Hotel is quaint and a quiet place for a romantic holiday and for those business types as there is the Conference centre around the corner Parking at rear of hotel, Art deco architeture within the Art Deco District Out door cafe area with table service for that essentail breakfast, breakfast served only, there is a bar in the lobby, rooms all come with ensuit bathrooms Personal opinion 5 star hotel, friendly staff and a supreme service

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

Today I attended a private brunch for work and I wanted to check two small bags at the front desk because I didn't want to take them into the brunch. I was told it would be five dollars for outside guests to check a bag. This is news to me. Never before have I been charged for this in the over 13 years that I've been going to this property. That isn't a luxurious experience nor is it up to standard, hotel guest or not. Service was polite outside of the charge. Food was average at best. A few hours later I attended another lunch at Bellini at the Mr. C hotel. I asked to check the same bags at their front desk. No charge. When I picked up my bags, they asked me how lunch was and if it was my first time at the property. Would I like some water to go (complimentary)? It was not my first time at Mr. C but this service is what I come to expect at a property of this nature. Not to be nickel and dimed for a basic service. This new experience paired with the fact that I was overcharged for drinks on my last visit to the standard (November) to which I called to rectify after realizing once I was home, I was told they would call me back and they never did. I'm soured on the whole property.

Fontainebleau Miami isn't just a hotel -- it's a full‑scale Miami moment. The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

We didn't even stay at the hotel, we simply had a Mother's Day brunch reservation at Hakkasan and dessert at Chez Bon Bon. What should have been a nice family outing turned into an absolute nightmare. When we went to valet to retrieve our car, the lobby was filled with angry guests sitting around waiting HOURS for their vehicles. People were openly saying they had been waiting 1-3 HOURS and some had even missed flights because valet couldn't deliver their cars. Seeing at least 50 frustrated people stranded there was complete chaos. At that point I started panicking. I had my 3 children with me, my elderly parents, and all of my baby's formula and diapers locked inside the car with no idea when we would ever get it back. Completely unacceptable for a luxury hotel that charges premium prices. It was also $58 to valet! Thank God I drive a Tesla because I opened the live camera and location tracking and immediately saw my car had been sitting in the exact same spot where I dropped it off over 2.5 hours earlier. When we walked to the vehicle ourselves, we found the inside completely ransacked. Items from my center console were thrown everywhere and the driver and passenger seats were covered in sweat. Clearly multiple employees had been sitting inside our vehicle. When my husband confronted them, they claimed they had "misplaced the key card" and were searching for it. Then when asked why the inside of the car was trashed, they actually tried to say it was already like that. Absolutely insulting. This completely destroyed any trust I had in the Fontainebleau. I don't care if valet is a "separate department" it is still YOUR property, YOUR staff, and YOUR responsibility. Guests should not have to fear waiting 1-3 hours for their cars, missing flights, or having employees rummage through their personal belongings because the hotel can't manage basic operations. I understand it was Mother's Day and maybe they were understaffed, but the complete lack of communication, organization, accountability, or even basic customer service was disgraceful. Not once did anyone proactively update guests, apologize properly, offer compensation, or even waive valet charges. For a place that markets itself as luxury, this experience was beyond embarrassing.
