I am highly disappointed with the opening service from Cada Pools and Spas. Their technician filled my hot tub and added chemicals directly over winter dirt and buildup. Unsurprisingly, the water became cloudy and dirty immediately after startup. When I drained it to see why the "fresh" water looked so bad, I found extensive filth left underneath. If a spa is too dirty to be filled, a professional company should pause, communicate, and offer a cleaning service--not just rush the job and waste expensive chemicals. Worse than the poor service was the management's defensive response (see attached text screenshot). When I reached out, Chryste entirely shifted the blame onto me for draining the dirty water. When I escalated to the manager, he sent me a photo taken by his techs to "prove" they did a standard opening (attached). Ironically, their own photo shows a technician standing directly inside the uncleaned tub shell in outdoor work boots, with visible grime and residue left on the contours right before they filled it. The manager tried to claim the dirt happened in the week after they left, completely ignoring that they filled a tub full of winter sludge and their own photo proves it. When I noted that mistakes happen and this was an easy fix, I was told I would have to pay them all over again. They hide behind "à la carte" contracts instead of exercising basic professional judgment or accountability. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business read more

I purchased a Marquis spa from Cada in 2024, and they have exceeded my expectations in every way! Working with them has been amazing - Cada has a text line and every maintenance question is answered right away. I had a problem with the top panel being slow and they came out several times to evaluate/fix. While they were here, they discovered a small leak hidden inside the unit and ordered parts to repair that for me. Any time I have a problem, Cada seems to drop everything and come out the same day or next day to look at it. They have never charged me for any of the trips or the repairs! I felt that I must share our extreme disappointment in Cada pools service. They were referred to us a few years ago when our other pool company was backed up and could not replace our pump. They have done other work for us, however, when they opened our pool this year , it immediately started losing alot of water. My husband caled them immediately and they would not even come back to do a quick check to see if it could easily be resolved. Tom told us we would need to call a leak detection company - my husband did so and was told it would be at least 6 weeks! I then called swim shack who was excellent in response and guiding us to resolve the issue. Turns out the Cada pool technician opened a defunct cleaner valve. Once we discovered this, we were able to stop the leaking. However, our liner is now extremely wrinkled and may need replacement much sooner than later. If they had just been willing to come by, they could have helped us resolve the issue immediately, saved us time, money and stress. Their lack of response, not returning calls or messages, and outright refusal to stop by to even access the situation is irresponible at the least. I still can not believe they would not stop by to take a look. I understand mistskes are made. I would have given them grace if they showed an ounce of care towards us as their customer. We will never even consider using them again and recommend caution to all. Caveat emptor #-10 rating!! read more

Purchased a pool and Marquis (highest end) hot tub from Cada Pools and Spas in 2020. Nothing but problems since then. Hot tub has been a mess. The heater assembly has gone out three times since I've gotten it. It's almost as if they sold me a used one because it breaks down so much. And I keep asking them to put it through the warranty and they refuse. Shady. Save yourself the headache... DO NOT USE CADA POOLS AND SPAS!!! Customer service is horrible. They never get back to you. And they're billing is inconsistent so you need to check every single bill. Horrible. read more

We recently moved into our house and wanted to get the hot tub up and running. We called Cada to come out and look at the unit. I turned out that it was a brand they couldn't service so they would not be able to help, not a big deal. I understand. What made me irritated is that once the tech determined he wouldn't be able to complete the job he just left. He had removed the side panels to the tub and did not bother to put them back how he found them, left the cover off the unit with random parts he removed just sitting on the inside and my hose stretched across my deck. We have something wrong with our pool and on Wed. May 27th the guy came out here, said he wasn't sure what to do and was going to call the manufacturer, said he would get back to me in a couple of days... Didn't hear from him, called him back last week, the kid on the phone said he would let him know I called and get back to me, that was also Wed. one week later.... Today I call again and ask what is going on, I am put on hold, the kid comes back on the phone and tells me that given the wiring his boss doesn't know what to do and can't help us.... Terrible - we've tried for several years to work with them on both service and the equipment. Spend most of the summer with a pool that can't be used because of the poor maintenance. As a small business owner I was patient, gave feedback, they were accommodating with fees in some cases with the issues but it's so disappointing we had to go elsewhere. read more

Bad experience twice. First time, heater replaced was not tested and when filled, leaked at joints. Notified Cada and they assured us they'd be back on Monday. No call, no repair. We tightened joints to stop leak. Second time, heater again stopped working after only six months. After initial visit from Cada and several weeks later and after many calls, we were told that they were still looking for a replacement board since it had been discontinued. Frustrated, we found a direct replacement board. During the process we also learned that the heater actually was arching at the connectors which were loose and shorted the control board. What's worse is that the heater that was previously installed may have been a used part. The final repair required a new heater and board. These guys are knuckleheads. Steer clear. read more

I have been a loyal customer for years and always bought everything from them. I called today to ask a question about a pump since I have talked to the guys in the store about switching from cartridge to sand. Well I was interested in DE. The guy they put on the phone was beyond a ass. He didn't want my money because I have a above ground pool. I guess the water is made of toxic materials if it isn't surrounded by concrete. Not sure why I have bought cleaners or all my pool supplys from them. I have 3 friends that go there and I will make sure they will not return as well. I purchased a pool and a hot tub in May. I needed to get some information about the hot tub as this is my first time owning one. I expected that the team here would be more helpful as they were great when I purchased them. My experience is that many times I get people on the phone who can't answer questions, or if they do they actually give wrong information. Matt was great...he sold us the pool and hot tub. He answered all our questions told us what to do to get the ground ready for the hottub. Called back,took a while to get someone out to deliver. And then less than a month after buying the hot tub. The fuse blew...the pushed my date of service back stating they were missing a fuse. By the time they got back out to fix over a week later. My brand new hot tub looked like a science experiment gone wrong. I called and asked for help with ideas to drain seeing it was gross. They told me to leave water in and spend a ton of money on chemicals. Sorry no. The water was gross. I wanted help it's always an issue to get help via phone. Like if you go in the store great...or when they come to your house they are super nice. They just need to learn how to hace better customer service over the phone and train who picks up the phone. They always say..hold on I need to ask or give incorrect info. Best advice go in for help if you're close. read more

I don't expect much but the complete unwillingness to actually help really bugs me. My sister and I are contracted with Cada pools for general service and maintenance. Last winter our auto cover tore from the track due to the improper install from the original contractor who magically vanished once he was paid. Tom Cada came out the same day we called this week even though he was very busy and with the help of a couple of his workers repaired what would have been an exorbitant expense. We had asked that our spa be cleaned and serviced, (the home was vacant at the time) we set a date and I never heard back from them. When I called a week later, initially they could not tell me anything about whether or not they had been out there. They finally said yes they had gone out and cleaned the spa but apparently the paperwork was filed under someone else's name and a filter had been ordered. We could never get a straight answer from anyone. Mysteriously our heater would not work after the service, and apparently they don't do any repairs on our brand spa, which is fine because we will NEVER use this company again. We went back to the company that originally installed our spa and they are going to fix this mess. I would not recommend Cada to anyone needing service. read more

Moved into a house with a pool that Cada built in 1983, when I moved in 1999, I have been a customer of theirs since then. There is no other pool company around that is as professional and friendly as Cada Pools. I have never known anyone more knowledgeable regarding water chemistry and the products they carry. Not to mention the service guys are very knowledgeable and get the job done right. If you have a pool and don't go to Cada, then you're doing something wrong. They literally take care of all the guesswork of owning a pool and treat you like family. If you need something and they don't have it, then they get it for you in a timely manner and help you out with it. I had 2 bad experiences within 2 days with this company.We set up an appt.with them to come out and inspect a pool that needed work.They never showed up for our designated appt..When I called asking where they were, they said they weren't able to make it out that day.We set up another appt. for following day.2 days that I had to take off work and lose pay! The owner came out to inspect pool.Within 15 seconds of viewing pool he stated he couldn't help me with pool! I asked why? He said they don't deal with above ground pools!! Seriously!!! I HAVE HAD IT WITH CADA! This is the 5th bad experience I've had in 2 weeks with them so it is time for a review. I feel like I am being walked on by them and that they just tell me what they want to tell me to get me out of the store or off the phone. First started with scheduling our pool to be open. The girl on the phone set me up with a 9am appointment. I took off work and was waiting at 9am. By 9:15 when they didn't show, I called the office. A guy answered the phone and said "Oh, I'm sure they're coming, they're probably just running late. If they don't come by 10 o'clock then call back." What, why would I keep waiting, why couldn't they tell me if someone was coming or not?! 10 came around and no Cada pool employees came. I called back just after 10 and another guy answered the phone and said "Did someone tell you that they would be there at 9, because we don't do specific times, we just have windows like 8-12 and 12-5." I said, "Yes, the girl asked what time I wanted and said she had me down for 9am." He said, "Well, no one was coming until way later." I said, "Oh, great, I took off work for this, now what do I do?" He said they could reschedule. So I did and I chose a window of 8-12 on a different day and I went back to work. I had also asked about someone to come out and show us how to use our equipment at the same time I booked our original pool opening date. The girl said it would be $75. I scheduled it. When I got back to work, I called to reschedule it to fit according to the new pool opening date, the same girl talked to me and said "Oh, that's always been $100, not $75. Sorry about that." No offer to give me the price she quoted me originally. No one ever apologized about the mix up with the people coming to open the pool. FINALLY it's pool opening day and I took off work again to be here-2 guys showed up, but I had to find out they were on their way from my manager at work! They called my work phone number that the person I spoke to from work must have written down when I rescheduled the walk-through. I specifically asked them to call the number on my profile and I even repeated it back to them...At this point I am mad. I tried my best to remain calm and just get through the opening. They got here at 830 and left around 10. In between them opening the pool and checking equipment, they were friendly and did tell me what some things were and give me pointers. I wasn't even watching them the whole time- I was on my phone. At no time did they state they were charging me for all of this advice and tips. If I had agreed to being charged I would have taken notes and pictures and had my husband here with me to learn as well. WHICH IS WHY I SCHEDULED THE LESSON SEPARATELY. At the time of my scheduled lesson to learn the equipment, the same guy who opened the pool rang the door bell and asked if he needed to show me how to work stuff since he already did. I didn't even want to get into it or deal with it anymore so I just said, "No it's fine you can leave." He should have told me he wrote down 2 hours of lesson charges which I didn't know about until today... I WAS charged $586 after I was told it would be $385. I just got the bill in the mail today. I was charged $385 to open the pool and $99x2 hours for lessons on equipment. First of all, they weren't even here for 2 hours total and I would not call what I received a lesson. I called Cada as soon as I got the bill and someone told me at the store that the accountant was out for the day and they would be in from 9am-12pm and took down my info to have her call me. These are just the big ticket complaints- forget about the run around I got both times I went in the actual shop to have my water tested and buy chemicals. They told me I needed giant tubs of granulated chlorine and then he changed his mind to liquid. I ended up leaving with 52 gallons of liquid chlorine and some other stuff they recommended, but they went back and forth about everything before they decided so I did not leave there with confidence. I even brought my hassles about the scheduling and price mixup to the checkout counter to which I am pretty sure the owner was overhearing and all he said was "Oh, yeah, they shouldn't have said that." No apologies or anything. I did ask if they do military discounts and the guy helping said "No, sorry." I said, well what about any kind of discount for all the trouble? He said the best he could do was have me purchase a VIP card for $20 to save me 10% the whole season. Fine. I did that. Anyway- this is a novel, but you can see the run around and everything I am dealing with and I haven't even had the pool open for 2 weeks! Know for sure what you are getting when you make appointments and double check prices. Ask what you are being charged for as soon as they come to your house. I feel they are just after a buck. I did not feel important to them and I do not feel confident with the condition of my pool. read more

We were referred to them by the manufacturer of our hot tub since we were getting jacked around by so called factory authorized service people. This is a family run business and from my experiences, they truly care about customer satisfaction. They have helped educate my wife and I about proper care, use and service. I have saved $$$ by receiving their expert guidance in helping to resolve problems myself. C,mon what other business do you know that would help someone in their time of need with passing up the opportunity to charge you a service call. The WORST!!!! I ordered a customized cover for my spa. Brian the "boss" came out and measured it. The collected the money from me and told me 3 weeks. 4 weeks later I called and they said one more week. Today I stopped in. The said my cover was not there. I asked too speak too a manager.
