Called company over a year ago and had to be put on a waitlist for a new plunge pool. Called and emailed several times over the year to see when a pool could be completed and after a year of trying to get in contact with the individual who is managing installation, was told that my address was too far in Chicago to have a pool installed. It took them over a year to tell me that and now I'm having to find another company and wait likely another year For installation of a pool. Completely unprofessional. Would not recommend. read more

We've been using Arvidson Pools & Spas for 5 years now, with complete satisfaction. Opening, closing, maintenance as needed, they are consistently reliable and professional. We've had team Allen and Kevin a few times for opening and/or closing; excellent communication and proactive maintenance. I Highly recommend them. Additionally, Arvidson offers a pool chemical program for the DIY pool owner. We bring in a water sample every other week for analysis and we pick up the chemicals needed to keep our pool crystal clear. We have not had a green pool since we joined that program. You know green pool only happens when you having people over... Arvidson offers as much, or as little pool maintenance as you want. I'm glad we gave them a shot; we've never felt the need to look elsewhere for our pool maintenance needs. read more

My husband and I spent months researching to find the perfect hot tub! We went to multiple stores and spoke to a handful of sales agents. I called Arvidson Pool & Spa before heading out there, due to distance, and Nadine reassured us she could help us find the perfect spa. She delivered! She was the most honest Manager we met with and educated us on what spa would be best and how to maintain it. She even came out to our home to have a chemical orientation with us! I was blown away by her hospitality! The delivery team was just as impressive! Jim delivered our tub with a team of men who did a great job. I'm not sure where the ball got dropped here-but left our Polaris cleaner with them in OCTOBER to be repaired. Called in May-no one knew where it was at-then it was at Crystal Lake-ok-we're repairing it-no calls back from Peter-my husband had to keep calling him back-2 weeks later-got it back today after having to call again- and Crystal Lake didn't even know Palatine had it-great on Chemicals in Palatine-but wouldn't go for repairs there anymore-poor service-and not very apologetic about the long wait and poor service either- read more

Parker at Arvidson helped us out and got our pool from green to clear in 2 days. He tested our pool water with their advanced tester and gave us the right chemicals to get it fixed in 48 hours. Other pool stores could not determine how to fix it. They are excellent at Arvidson and we will use them again. read more

From start to finish, Nadine and her staff helped us select the right spa tub for us, referred us to excellent contractors to fortify our deck and install the electric and the tub, and provided us with follow-through to set everything up successfully. I tried several times to contact them to get an estimate on a pool and was told I would receive a return call which never happened!

Bought our hot tub 8 yrs ago. They gave us a fair deal. Over the years we have bought our supplies from them; mostly taking advantage of sales. Again, it has been a fair deal. Then we needed a repair. This is when they shined. The manager really took care of us. THEN a year goes by and we lost control of the water. Just couldn't get it to clear and could not figure out why we were having to fight the dang thing. Went in, had a chat with Shelley. I will admit, I thought for sure we had an issue with the repair. She gave me a quick re-education and some steps to follow. She sure knows her stuff. Wha-La! Back on track, clear as a bell and holding perfect. Can't thank her enough. read more

I shopped around and did get a good deal for my spa, but that is pretty much where it ended. After waiting a long time for the spa to arrive and having to constantly follow up on delivery as they apparently do not it is now installed. The sales person never checked back if all was working as it was not. I have now done several trips with water samples to them and we still have zero chlorine, alkalinity super high as well as pH. Today my son has a rash on his skin and we learnt this is because of the poor water quality. The customer service to me is beyond poor and unacceptable as they keep telling me add acid and come back in 3 days. This is a new spa ! UPDATE: 1 Star to 4 Stars (would have given 5 if the salt water was 100% resolved) Shelley has been great to work with on the problems I have and even came out a few times to get water samples and test to give guidance on what to do. She has been committed to getting this 100% resolved and that says a lot for the support they offer post-sales. They won me over for sure ! read more

Great customer service with spa maintenance. We have had our Hot Springs Spa for 11 Year's and still enjoy using it all year long. The new manager Autumn was very helpful recently going over and beyond helping us with an equipment issue. Can't thank her enough. read more

Just got my spa today. Jeremy and Jim were my installers. The nicest, most professional gentlemen. They called and said exactly what time they would arrive and that is the time they showed up. They explained the maintenance routine, how to trouble shoot and answered every single question. I couldn't be more satisfied. I am only writing this review as I don't want others to have to go through what I went through. I just bought a pool from Arvidson's and was working with Nadine. Nadine is very nice and responsive. When I was starting this process she referred me to a pool installer (Dynasty Pools) and an electrician (Mark Hummel). I live in an unincorporated area so unfortunately I had to pull a permit through cook county. Some people know the amount of "hell" they put you through. Both contractors told me they were registered with Chicago (They were not). Both contractors agreed to take the job. To get a quote from Dynasty Pools took 10 days. When I called Nadine out of frustration I was told that since "that was not their line of work" that this was okay. She also stated that these contractors did not work for Arvidson's and were just referrals that people could use that are familiar with their product. I'd like to add that I run a business myself. Dynasty Pools installed my pool but that was it. No instruction on how to use the filter, No instruction on how to use anything. Calling Arvidsons service department I was told to watch youtube videos. I had to drive 45 minutes just so I can pick up plugs for my skimmer and return and have them show how to use them so I can clean my filter. I've spent over $5000.00 on a pool and over $8000.00 on a spa from the year before. My pool project cost almost $14000.00 with the added contractors. Mark Hummel agreed to register as well and I offered to assist him on anything that I can do to make it less frustrating. I submitted his paperwork and paid the 105.00 fee. After I received my permit I knew Mark Hummel was very frustrated and he even admitted he didn't want to take the job (This is after 4 months of dealings). When I called to scheduled him to come out to the final electric he was short and told me he couldn't get to me for weeks. I never heard back from him. I had another company come out. I even sent an email to Mark Hummel explaining that I did a change of contractor on my permit and apologized for his frustrations (I never heard back). I spoke with Nadine again and told her about all of this and never once could I get an apology. These are contractors they have referred and I got duped. Maybe it's the times were in now, Maybe this company just hates me...I don't know but I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I went through. Do your research on how a pool filter and pump that works, if you have to get a permit like I did make sure they are registered with the county. I would of never done this if I knew the hell I'd have to go through. read more

Extremely satisfied with the assistance I had received from Shelley and Ben when my hot tub was down. The extensive knowledge these two possess regarding the chemical balance is unbeatable. They had my hot tub back up and running within 12 hours of me meeting with them to get my water tested. I come from a business that I have built from the ground up and THESE are the types of employees that I would look for in a hiring process. Any employer would take note of the impeccable service these two individuals have provided to a customer in need.
